Angry Jelly rolls

I know "spot reduction" doesn't work, but does anyone have any recommended ways to get rid of love handles/jelly rolls? I'm ten pounds away from my Halloween goal but I still see the rolls on my sides. My stomach is flat as a board and outside of my thighs, my jelly rolls are the only things I'm very frustrated with.

So... diet suggestions? Exercise recommendations? Anything?

Or am I doomed to look like Krispy Kreme forever?

I love KK's so I'd think you're very cute!

You're right about the spot reduction (sadly). Apparently your body likes to store fat in your love handles the best. I'm guessing that's the first place you put weight on? First on, last off.

Just focus on losing fat. It HAS to come off from there because it sounds like you don't have much fat left anywhere else. I'm guessing every bit of those last ten pounds is right there in your "jelly roll".

What to do? Kick up your exercise intensity. Lift heavy. Eat as clean as possible. Be 100% on plan. Forget cheat meals. You know how they say the last ten pounds are the hardest? They weren't kidding, so hit it hard.

My last 20 pounds were in my hips, butt, and thighs and yep, it finally came off. But it was at the very end of my weight loss and I had lost everything else so my body had to finally let go of its favorite fat deposits. I'm sure it will work that way for you too.

HAHA, Meg, I love KK, too - that's why I stay far, far away from things that resemble it, including my jelly rolls!

I am not sure if my love handles are the first place I gained, to be honest, but they were definitely the most noticeable spot, along with my double chin that thankfully disappeared 15 pounds ago. I actually have recently started to kick it up a notch; I'm aiming for a 1,500 calorie daily deficit in hopes that these stupid ten pounds will fly off and so will the Krispy Kremes. Thank you for the advice and reassurance. You rock. And BTW, I know you've probably heard it a hundred thousand million times, but you have SUCH a great body! RAWRRR SEXY MEG!

My last-to-go fat is on my butt and legs. I'm at my weight and body fat goal (14%), and am only just now starting to see definition in my quads. My butt is pretty much a lost cause -- I can't lose much more BF and still be healthy -- but I'm OK with this.

My point is just to keep at it. Eventually the love handles will go away, or at least they'll shrink enough that they stop bothering you.

Well I'm obviously farther away from my goal then you guys are - but my weight is all in my belly and pelvis (ugh). My butt and legs are great (well except for that horrifying loose skin on my upper thighs and the little roll below my ***). I think everyone holds onto it differntly. I agree - just keep doing what you are and one morning you'll get up and see that it is gone.
Congrats on your progress !!!!!!

I just wanted to belated second Meg's advice: lift heavy, eat clean, do your cardio, and no cheat meals. The last 10-15 pounds are the hardest and the last 5 are gruesome! And the last 5 (at least for me) seem to be the forever maintenance pounds.

I store almost all my fat on my abs. My legs, shoulders, arms and back can be cut, and I still have a tummy if I'm more than 3 pounds over goal. We all store it differently but the last few are just as hard to take off no matter where we want them off!
