Exclamation Stretch Marks

Alright...you know you opened this for a reason....you've got them too!
During my period of rapid weight gain i developed these nasty things and they are slowly fading as the weight comes off. But i want them gone!

Does anyone know of any cheap or homeade tricks to help out???

Nothing's going to get rid of them other than surgery. They'll fade over time.

Sorry to disappoint you, but, once you've got them... they're there forever.

If they're still red/purplish, you can make them fade quicker by using cocoa butter. If they're silver, then the only thing that can fade them is time.

I have the same problem, I invested in Bio Oil about 2 months ago and since then they have faded significantly, they were long, thick and bright red and now they're fading into my skin colour.

The stretch marks will fade over time into your skin color-with our without a cream or oil. That is the natual progression of them.

I have stretch marks from 3 babies...and there is nothing to do to get rid of them. Lasers, etc. can soften them-but they still dont' even get rid of them.

I'm really pale, so I had a bunch of really noticeable red stretch marks over my hips, stomach, and breasts. Last year I sprung for a tube of Mederma and it really, really helped. They're still visible but almost all the color is gone, which is excellent, although it didn't work on the boob stretch marks as well as I'd hoped. Time will certainly heal them, but there's nothing wrong with helping things along a little.

I had heard that there is something you can do if they are still red. If your stretch marks are no longer red, then there is nothing you can do. I don't remember what it is though, you might have to check with a dermatologist.

You made me laugh!!

I had some from an early rapid weight gain, then got some more due to pregnancies. They do fade, and for the most part, they are in areas that I don't generally bare for the public, anyway. They actually serve as a bit of a reminder to not let myself get fat again.
