Alright Oz, where have you disappeared to again? I want an aussie update! :)

So the Discovery Body Challenge episode tonight inspired me. My friend and I that keep a food/exercise journal together have decided to do a 5k run/walk race together in March!!!

I'm so excited. I've never in my life done anything like this. I can't even run for more than 60 seconds at a time, but I don't even care. As long as I crawl over that finish line, I'll feel accomplished.

I've got 2 months to whip my butt into shape! Wish me luck!

That is awesome!!! :cp: Last week, I researched 5k runs in our area and printed off all the info and decided that I was going to do one also!!! I have until April 8th to get it in gear, but yesterday I finally mentioned it to dh and asked him if he would do it with me. I was unsure about asking him, because now its "out there" and the idea is not just in my head!!! lol....if that makes sense? WE'RE GOING TO BE RUNNERS SMARTBUTT!!! I've said it before and I'll say it again...."THIS IS MY YEAR!!"

My BF is a little skeptical about me doing this. First, I have to fly to SoCal for the race. There are ones that happen not too far from me (in s.f.) but I think I'd rather have slightly sunnier weather down south. Then I'll need a hotel room. So, flight + air = money we don't have right now. But I told him this is very important to me and it's the first time I've been excited about any type of athletic event ever. Plus, I'm starting a new job today that makes a little more than I was making, so I'm hopeful.

My BF could probably run the entire race and blaze past me, so I'd rather not have him as my buddy for this one. Maybe some day I'll be able to keep up with him!

Hey! It's been forever since I've been on here. I've been so super busy. About 2 weeks ago I got the flu. I don't think I have ever been that sick in my life. Oh my gosh, it was awful. Now that I'm better and finally getting caught up I decided to stop by. No exercising for 2 weeks and I just knew I was going to be like 10 pounds heavier. But, I got on the scale and I have not gained anything.:carrot: That is good because I had done nothing to work out.

I did get my butt back in gear today though. I did my biggest loser exercise and it was hard, I was about to faint. But, it felt good to get back in the swing of things.:D

Glad you are feeling better, teacherlady!! Take it easy at first - til you get your legs back. Not gaining any weight is the one bonus of being sick with no appetite...:cb:

Today's been a good day. I did a little shopping and was very surprized to see that I now fit some "Larges"....I was in shock actually!!! :yikes: My dilema (if you call it that?) was whether to buy a purple top in an XL and have it a bit big, or buy the same top in a L in a pretty butter colour and have it fit perfectly. The butter colour won out for a rock bottom clearance price of $7.00 !!! Decisions, decesions!!!! :rofl: Famours Barr was having a 70% off sale with another 15% off as well. How could I go wrong? hehe...so I bought 3 more tops!!!

Anyone try Boca burgers? I LOVE THEM!!! Recently I have tried there Chik'n burger and their Soy Cheeseburgers. YUM YUM....I can't get enough of them. Thats my tip for the day. Have a good one. :wave:

I was out shopping yesterday too, and went into one store that was selling lovely slacks on sale. Any I usually grab the size 22 (aus size) but there was only size 20, and they fit perfectly around the waist. Unfortunately they seemed to be made for a 7 foot woman. So I didn't buy them. Figured I didn't have much use for Pink Pants anyway.

Don't you hate that? I'm 5'6" or so and I can't buy a pair of pants that are the right length unless I go to the "petite" section. I thought 5'6" was a pretty average height, but apparently I'm a midget! I love Gap jeans but they don't make ankle-length in size 14s, only 12s. So, I have one pair of 12s that I can just barely squeeze into right now, and I wear those so they'll at least be the right length.

Sorry guys, I've been slack. I did go away camping for a week though so I didn't have a computer with me for that period of time. :)

Anyway I'm doing well, onto week 3 of Jillian's workout.

Also there is a good chance I may still get to go on the Aussie show, not as a contestant but I will get to meet our mentor. I'll fill you in when I know more.

Don't worry I'll tell her. :) Maybe I won't say 4000 though because that might scare her off, I'll say like half a dozen or something. :)

It's so weird because I just had a HUGE feeling I was suppose to be on this show, I knew it. I just didn't know I wasn't suppose to go on as a contestant. HAHA
