I just wanted to wish you all a GREAT weekend! I dont know about you but weekends are the hardest times for me to stick to my plan. Its like the weekend hits and I think its party time and throw caution to the wind! I'm going to work very hard this weekend at being conscious of all my decisions and how they will affect my goals!

We can do this purple team!! Be strong and be in control!! Most of all be good to you!!

ahhhhh - weekends! I'm with the rest of you. I find it hard to eat right and get the motivation to exercise.

I think having the 1 free meal a week will really help me to get through the harder times as I have something to look forward to.

Weekends do seem to be the hardest. And then on top of it, I started getting sick yesterday - so now I have the cold that was going around the office last week. I thought I was going to be lucky and not get it, but I was wrong. Hopefully I'll feel better tomorrow, so I can exercise.

I need to remember to get a tape measure thing, so I can take my measurements.

Good Sunday morning Purple team!! Tomorrow is the big day! Are you ready?!I know I am, I can focus so much better when I'm in my regular schedule! I lost my thunder this weekend so I'm hoping since the challenge starts tomorrow I'll get it back. Weird because I'm coming off a 3.6 lb loss last week you'd think that would keep me riding high. For whatever reason I chose to use it as an excuse to slack off.

Andrea...how was dinner?

Bev...Great job this weekend!! Way to go at keeping the control!

Outbackgirl...you are right, giving yourself that one meal is a good thing. I find this weightloss journey you've really got to keep talking to yourself and not just winging it. Telling yourself....think of your 'free' meal, thats where I should be too! Keep up the good work!

Lizzy..oh no not the cold!! I've been avoiding that one myself. I hope its not too bad for you. Take good care of yourself so you can be back to 100% soon!!

Everybody sounds like they had a great weekend. Dinner was great! I tried really hard to stick to my plan so I ordered Brushetta as an apetizer (I am an apetizer junky..lol) and grilled tuna, baked potato and salad as my entree. Well my tuna was dry and overcooked so they brought me some grilled shrimp on a skewer instead. I was thinking "great..not bad at all" but I unfortunately I think they put butter on it :mad: As for drinks I did have 2 martinis as well!!!!!! So I am now working this week to make up for yesterdays dinner.

It's frustrating sometimes because we work so hard that we deserve to treat ourselves every now and them..but it sucks to come home and feel guilty for having a good time.

Question: When is our first official weigh in? We have listed the 15th as our first day, so I have posted my loss....is that correct?

Morning everyone (well it's morning here!),

We are still waiting on a couple of people to weigh in which I have PM'd them.

Hopefully I will have them all be the end of my day so that we can get our total starting weights!

I'm all fired up this morning! Had a bit of a blow out yesterday afternoon but today is DAY 1!

I have my gym bag packed ready to head off to the gym this afternoon! I am going to pick up some chicken breasts, fillet steaks and salad stuff for my lunches at work (I'm lucky that we have a BBQ at work so I can cook myself lovely lunches!).

Hubby heads off to a wedding on Wednesday and will be gone for the week. Rather than sit at home on my own, I'm really going to up the exercise for week 1 and make sure that my eating is immaculate! AFTER ALL I CANNOT LET MY PURPLE TEAM MATES DOWN!

C'mon guys! We can do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am feeling really good today and am really working hard to keep up the water intake. I don't like water much so I call it more a Crystal Light intake. I have also been making the low fat Jello Pudding and jello to keep in the fridge for times of need especially chocolate. The fat free jello pudding is great for that.

We should really think of starting a challenge for our team...working out, water intake, walking...ect. Any ideas?

Howdy all!

It's Tuesday night here and Hubby and I are heading out for dinner (fillet steak and salad for me!).

Hope everyone is doing well. I will update the weights for both teams tomorrow morning first thing! I think as long as we can post the weights for the previous week by each Wednesday that will be great.

I had better go as we are about to head off. Will catch up with you all first thing tomorrow!

Good Tuesday Purple team!!! Hows it going? Are you making good choices to help you reach your goals?

I did pretty good yesterday except I forgot all about my water for most of the day. I got so busy doing paperwork, sitting at the computer for 6 hours and no water bottle! Not good! But today I'll turn that around.

I saw my mother yesterday, she's lost 42 lbs and getting skinny...I have to beat her! LOL!

Andrea...I love challenges and I'm always up for one! I love the sugarfree jellos! Lime with pineapple is my favorite snack! and SF chocolate pudding with a little bit of FF coolwhip! YUM!! It looked like last week they added some berries to it on the BL show that would be yum too! How's the water/crystal light going?

Belinda..have a GREAT dinner tonight!!! Or I suppose I should say I hope you had a great dinner LOL!! Gonna take me awhile to get aclimated to our time difference.

Okay Purple team lets all have the best day yet!! As long as today is better than yesterday we are winners!! We can do this!!

Thanks everyone - I seem to be better - though I did stay home from work yesterday. I think that helped. I haven't exercised yet this week, but I might tomorrow - depending on how I feel in the morning. Hopefully this cold will be gone soon - I just have NO energy!

Good Morning Purple Team!! Hows everything goin? Making those great choices?!

I had such a fantastic day yesterday, I ate so clean all day long I'm so proud of myself and i got in my water too! I havent done that well with food in a LONG time! I have severe sciatica pain that prevents me from exercising right now, but my hope is that the more lbs I take off the pain will subside and i can finally get back to it. Yesterday was a good day pain wise so I might just try to do my elliptical for a little bit this evening, I just dont want to push it so we'll see.

My biggest victory yesterday was at the parent meeting for my daughters school they plopped down a great big bag of chocolates right in front of me, I could smell it the whole meeting and i hadnt had dinner yet so I was hungry...and I didnt have a single piece!! Oh I was tempted but I won!

Lizzy...I'm glad you are feeling better! Dont be down on yourself for not exercising this week, when you are sick you really need to let your body get well before you push it too hard! That energy will come back and you can get back to it! Just keep making good choices!

I was looking around the web yesterday trying to find something to help me in my goal and thought (as crazy as it sounds) that a graph would work really well for me to see the progress first hand. Well, I came across this site that is specifically geared for weight loss graphs. You put in your current weigh, goal weight as well as the goal date and it works it all out for you. It will make up a graph with graph line showing what you need to lose in order to reach your goal my your goal date. You then enter your losses each other day, week...ect and your line will be a different color than the original line the graph made for you; so as long as you stay within the line you will reach your goal. I think it is great because I will weigh in tomorrow and am so geared up to make my green line go below the black one:p Let me know what you think. Here is mine set up, hope it works.

Good Afternoon everyone! How's it going? I have a "fridge" type of thing only mine is on the wall. I have a big tree with leaves on it, and for each pound that I lose I take a leaf off my tree. My goal is to have no leaves on my tree when winter starts. Here's a picture of my tree:

I had another great day yesterday. I might have overate just a smidge but lowfat/low calorie stuff so I need not beat myself up over it. Tomorrow is my official weigh in day so I gotta make it another great day today! So far so good. I've been craving salad lately, which is weird with this rainy cold weather but I'll run with it!

Tonight I'm making my family cheesy tatertot casserole for dinner, just looking at it is like 1000 calories I think. So I'm gonna skip that and have a teryaki stirfry with some brown rice. Thats the plan stan!

Lori, did you set yourself up a graph? I will work on a challenge and maybe we can get some other ladies on it as well. Tomorrow my goal is to punch 188lbs into the graph an of course my ticker...keeping my fingers crossed. I noticed you are in Ontario, where abouts are you....we might be neighbors :)

Belinda, how was your dinner on Tuesday? It's so nice to treat yourself to a nice dinner every now and then...it's important. How did the teams do last week? Can't wait to hear. Wow, we are coming up on our second week already; it's hard to believe.

Lizzy, I hope you are feeling better. Don't worry about the working out; your body does need time to rest. Just take it easy and watch what you eat so you don't think too much about the :exercise:

I think I might be off by a week on our Challenge Thread. I noticed I am the only one who put in a weigh for last Sunday and tomorrow I will put my October 22nd weigh in. Am I doing this right? :o

I am also posting a quick message because I am so proud of my 3lbs loss, I got my first m&m in my signature:D :D I have been enjoying a lot of soup lately, especially the Liptons Soupworks; it's so filling and does me 2 lunches. Today is a crappy and wet day so no long walk but I will make up for it tomorrow since we are taking the kids the the orchard for pumkin and apple picking.

Pretty close Lori, I am in Burlington.

So my weekend was touch and go which I am super angry at myself for. I was doing great until Saturday night and Sunday rolled around. Saturday we had a few people over and I had a couple of beers, but Sunday was a killer:mad: We are a big football family and we had the same people over watching the games, which included pizza and wings. I had 3 slices of pizza and 3 wings :( :( :( :( That is alot for me considering even prior to dieting 2 slices was my limit. Needless to say I am spending all week making up for that because I have promised myself at least a 1lb weight loss. I did not eat much for the rest of the day since even at bedtime the pizza had still not digested and I ate it at 2:30.......I guess my system was in a bit of a shock.

Well here is to a good start to the week!

How is everybody doing? Did I miss our losses for last week?

Good Tuesday Morning Purple!! I'm so glad the weekend is over LOL!! I had a great day yesterday with very little effort. Why is it just so easy during the week. At least the week is longer so i can have 5 good days and 2 not so good and not the other way around LOL!!

Good Wednesday Purple team!! Yesterday was my 14th anniversary and we went out to dinner. I didnt to too bad. Skipped the cocktails which is a huge victory for me. but probably had too many bites. Plus I had the bread w/ butter. AF is circling the building which leads me to believe there may be no scale moving this week but I'll deal! LOL!
