Hello Blue Team! Started off the day well w/ a weigh-in of 186.2! Pretty surprised to see any kind of loss happening this week with being sick and all. I did half of a Pilates/Yoga workout that I found on Instant Netflix last night. I have the DVD of this particular workout back home & used to do it often in high school. I love it! It's called "Crunch: Super Slim Down" or something like that. Definitely recommend it for core strengthening and general firming up. :)

Today is a BEAUTIFUL day and the bf wants to go for a long walk, which I am so down for. We're heading to the botanical gardens again. I love taking walks with him ... it's great exercise and it's nice to get to just talk to him. Since we got cable and Internet at the apartment I find we just sit and talk much less, so it's nice to have that chance.

emilyk - No worries! lol It's easy to mix up names on here. ;) I am sure those extra 1.5lbs are due to the pain meds and will drop right off when you stop taking them. How's the recovery going?

Kelly - You go girl! Your dedication to the team and motivation this week is inspiring. Proud of you!

It's Mother's Day here, so to all the beautiful yummy mummas out there i hope you have a fantastc sunday and an even better weigh in :goodscale:

My morning began with a surprised loss of 3.3!!! Between the antibiotics for the sinus infection that is fast becoming a chest infection and day 1 of TOM , i was so expecting a gain...a very nice present indeed :D

My boy is making Morrocan Lamb for tea tonight, can't wait, it should be yummy indeed :hungry:

ak812 Glad to hear you're on the road to recovery :) well done you for continuing to get exercise in. The mind certainly is a curious thing, playing tricks on our stomaches lol. Its great your working out what your body really needs. Thanks for the warm welcome and congrats on finishing uni, i'll bet your family is as proud of you as we are of my boy :)

emilyk The scale can certainly be frustrating. So pleased for you that you have had a loss :carrot:

Have a great weigh in Blues

The bf and I did go on that long walk and it ended up being a 103 minute one! It always amazes me that walking is able to burn so many calories ... according to MFP that one burned 444. It's nice to get in shape while just out and enjoying the nice weather. Tomorrow is supposed to be even nicer so I suspect more walking is in order. :)

Tkkoz - Yay! Congrats on the 3.3lb loss! That is very impressive, especially on Day 1 of TOM. Sorry to hear the sinus stuff is turning into a chest infection - I think that might be what's happening to me too! Very little congestion/sinus pressure left but I have a BAD cough. :( No fever though so I'm hesitant to get myself into the doctor. Hope you start feeling better very, very soon. Mmm the Morrocan Lamb sounds delicious! Let us know how it turns out.

Enjoy the night, team!

Happy Mother's Day to all Blue Team Mothers. I will be eating lunch soon with my mother. We are planning to go to Chili's. I will need to eat healthy and will definitely record it on the nutritional forum.
I weighed myself this morning and lost an extra 2 pounds. I wish I could record that weight but my weigh in date is Friday and I already recorded it.

ak812- My weight loss seems to be very slow. I had a great first couple of weeks losing and lost almost 10 pounds in one week. Since then, it has been so slow. I think my body is catching up with such a great loss the first week. I've been exercising and I know that my body looks fitter so it will catch up soon. Glad to hear that you're enjoying your walks and you have your bf to go with you. It's always nice to have that type of support.

Tkkoz- Let us know how the Moroccan Lamb turned out. That is so sweet that your son wants to do that for you. I've never had it but sounds very nice. Is tea time kind of like a dinner?

emilyk- I just had a huge weight loss and I ate more calories yesterday than I did the entire week. I have noticed that eating a little more one day per week has helped with my weight loss. The trick is to only do it one day per week or you will gain weight if you do it more. It seems to be helping me but I can't say if it will be that way for everyone. I'm happy that you got the weight loss that you wanted.

retiredone- I'm sorry to hear about your loss. I hope everything is okay with your family. I'm sure you have done well with your eating over the weekend. Do you celebrate Mother's Day in Canada?

EofAZ- Team building activities are alway fun. Especially when it takes you away from your everyday work environment. When I was working, we did things like that and would have conferences for the entire day twice a year which was a nice break. It is hard to stay away from the food that they provide but at least it was only one day.

qtapostolic- How was the trail through the woods? Is there a path that you can follow? I love taking walks with my husband when he is in town. I also walk my dogs but prefer to do it while he is in town.

Tkkoz- My husband is almost finished with his masters in accounting. I know you must be proud of your son because some of those classes are very difficult. Also, the certification I heard was also very difficult. My husband will be taking it very soon. He has enough credits right now to do it.

LeslieB- I recently had a scare with my Shih Tzu. He was crying in pain and wasn't moving so I took him to the vet. He is 7 years old and was told that it is common for Shih Tzu's to have back problems and there was no way to find out if he had a herniated disc in his back without taking him to an out of town vet. He was prescribed medication and was told to cage him for an entire week. It took him two weeks of rest and now he is back to his old self. That was so scary and I don't even know what triggered it. I'm just happy that he is feeling better. I'm glad your dog is doing the same.

Somni- Happy Birthday!! How did you get a runners group started? That sounds like fun.
