Hello, Team Blue!

I am .2lbs away from losing 100lbs. I feel a little overwhelmed at what I've accomplished so far, but it feels so good. I feel like I'm living again! I bought a bike from Craigslist for myself and went out mountain biking with my family. My kids were so happy; one of my little ones said, "This is one of the best days of my life.", and I'm happy to be able to be active with them. I'm also starting my sailing classes today, and yesterday we joined the YMCA.

I've still got a way to go until I'm at a healthy weight and until I reach my goal, but I feel like I can do this and keep with it for a lifetime.

I hope everyone has a great week!

Hi Beck, Narnia99, QuillysQuest, Somni, and Laura and the rest of the blue team
Sorry I've been MIA again, I am visiting my Dad in Saskatchewan right now and not around the computer a lot. I also have no service out here with my phone provider so not able to be on that to get to the internet either.
I am here until Sunday, maybe late so totals will be delayed until possibly Monday.

Beck - Congratulations that's awesome you will for sure reach your goals

Narnia99 - Yes I have got some relief from the heat, thanks. Congrats on been 2 weeks back into this again. That is very helpful

I had the one week and a nice little loss from last week....now being away again and reliant on others for my meal choices and no exercise time, I feel it just all came back and most likely brought some friends with it:{ Oh and TOM for weekend to I think.....then I'm home a couple days and then gone again with hotels and eating out again. Busy summer this year for me. Anyway I'm about to go to bed so I will try to check in again tomorrow or Saturday if possible.

Have a great rest of the week everyone.

Wow Bigmid, it sounds like a really busy summer for you! I hope you're able to squeeze in a little bit of exercise here and there, just doing some squats or jumping jacks or anything for 10 minutes might help keep you motivated and might help fend off those extra unwanted "friends".

The most important thing though is that you are enjoying yourself. Even if you end up having to work a little harder when you get done with all your summer trips and stuff, don't fall into a guilt trap or anything while you are out and about living your life. Enjoy the moment at every moment!

Bigmid, hope you are having a great visit with your dad! What a challenge, trying to keep on track while all that stuff is going on. You can only do your best and it sounds like you are doing that.

On the advice of my hubby and trainer I increased my calories this week. I have been feeling frustrated by slight gain and slow losses (last week was technically a loss but I had to replace my scale and have a feeling it would have been a slight gain - for the 2nd time in 3 weeks - if I'd been using the same scale). The scale just moving very little in general. You know you hear people say it helps to add more calories when that happens, but then you also see other people insisting how they stayed at x cals the entire time they lost weight with no problems. So confusing. If only it could be a simple calories in and calories out.

Anyway so I've been very good this week about adding calories (about 200-300 a day), plus I wasn't getting as much protein as my trainer wanted me to (>100g) so I've been hitting that number every day. I've otherwise just been keeping up with making good choices, trying to meet good health guidelines. The scale has MOVED in response. My husband is being a (lovable) snot, all with the 'I told you sos.' 'Guess what? I WIN!' '1 to nothing!' (The 1 to nothing is a Tenacious D reference hehe.)

You know even if some of the loss fluctuates back before my official WI, I don't care, I am feeling this big weight off me (no pun intended) just seeing movement again. It's been rough, I haven't felt like giving up but I just kind of have been struggling with the whole, do I need to "fix this" or will the loss pick up again on its own? And if I make changes, how long til I give them til I try something else?

I think the getting quieter, withdrawing into my own head, is something I need to work on. I am going to hit bumps again, and I want to be able to communicate about them better. Next time I might need to reach out to keep going, and I want to be able to to do that.

OKAY that's enough babble for today!

Well I'm burnt to a crisp today, I came out to visit my dad and with him living so far away now (driving) I convinced my brother to come with me.....so that's been awesome spending time with him as well.
Well they both love to fish, so for that last 2 days weve been in the boat and on the water. Yesterday for 3.5hrs and just a hint of color on me and today 6hrs and wow am I red.....I think only my back and nose will stay that way the rest will tan in a day or two..... It's finally summer for me now I have some color.

QuillysQuest - yes I should do a squat or two but I know that won't happen I did go for a 40 min walk yesterday so that was good.

Somni - WooHoo on the scale moving.....I know I too have heard that you should increase calories on a plateau, but that is very scary when all your life you hear reduce your calories to lose. Either way I happy for you that the scale is moving.....especially in the right direction

KayakGal - good luck with the scale....I won't be home so I'm not sure what I should put down...I'm sure I'll have a gain with the types of food were eating and no real exercise to speak of.

Well off to bed for me I'll talk to you all later.

I lost 6.4 this week and got my 50 lb charm in this week's meeting. I have been watching the scale so I knew I'd finally broken through this "hiccup" I've had in the last few weeks, but it was still very emotional to see it all official-like.

I've been eying this "walk to run" class at my local running store since the spring and promised myself if I lost 50 lbs before the next one started (September) I would sign up for it. So I'm all signed up for that and a Turkey Trot 5k on Thanksgiving!

Hope everyone has a very good weekend and good WI's!

Back from vacation. Started off well but kind of went off plan towards the end. Haven't checked the scales yet. Will see what the damages are tomorrow then get back to work. Good luck everyone.
