misspriss78 06-14-2010 10:21 AM

Morning

GO RED TEAM!!! And CONGRATS to TINA!

Well, i had a pleasant surprise this morning on the scale...178! Its been over a month since I've seen the 170's. I had to update my ticker so i can be back in onederland again;). I'm excited about next weeks WI, YAY. Maybe i can submit a loss for the week!:D ok...later gators

Gotta go get breakfast started.

:hug:to everyone!

tinabinab 06-14-2010 01:23 PM

Congratulations Red team and especially Passionista and Terapet!!!

Thank you for the congrats! I'm feeling rather guilty and undeserving of this weeks BL title however, as I definitely did not do that in a single week. I was pretty upset at myself for missing the wi last week and was definitely on a mission to end week two on a good note. (...and thats in spite of also having a birthday last week i.e. cake - my number 1 nemesis! ;) )

This morning I was down to 190.2. SOOOO close to that next decade - can't wait to see it again! (It's been a while...) Anyway, I hope everyone has a terrific week 3 and go RED!!!

TERAPET 06-14-2010 03:00 PM

Yeah Red Team!:cheer2:We won!!!

Congrats Tina-Don't worry about the two week thing. Bask in the glory. Good job!

I am so proud of myself for staying on plan when I went out to lunch today. It really was not difficult at all. I had the ceasar salad with chicken and it was delicious. Dinner tonight is bbq chicken and steamed veggies. Plus I get to go to the Y tonight. I am so glad to be nearly all recovered. I don't know if I will stay for one or two classes yet. I guess I will see how I feel.

Shytowngal 06-14-2010 03:13 PM

Way to go Red Team, Tina and honorable mentions!

No thanks to me though, with my 1 pound gain... I'm going to blame it on TOM though, and hope for a whoosh next week. Here's to working out hard and eating right.

GO RED!

dangerouscurves76 06-14-2010 08:26 PM

:carrot: Great job RED TEAM! :carrot: And a special congrats to Tina!

Looking forward to another great week!

CanadaMel 06-14-2010 10:08 PM

Good job Tina & the Red Team on a great week 2. Let's carry the momentum forward to week 3
I'm trying to give myself a pep talk, as I've been struggling the past 2 days. It's mostly job stress related, but a bit weather related too-weather is cool and ovrecast, but I am ready for summer. Reading back I sound like a big whiner, but I'm trying to work through it all-without turning to food.

Bigmid 06-14-2010 10:56 PM

Hi Red Team I just wanted to come over and say Congratulations for your win this week. Good job.

2phatinvictoria 06-15-2010 01:08 AM

I totally forgot to weigh in yesterday I was out side all day(it was sooo nice and sunny!) walking around downtown and then went to play some volley ball!

this week i wont forget!

Good morning my BL peeps

Just checking in...Sounds like everyone is doing great!

Were going to a BB game tonight and im so excited. I LOVE my home team and can't wait to cheer them on tonight!:carrot:

Hello to everyone! Have a great day:)

BlueEyes65 06-15-2010 09:10 AM

Good morning red team! Congrats to all the losers last week.
Sorry I was no help, I was up a pound for the week:(. Last week was full of stress for me worrying about a bil in the hospital. How stupid for me to think eatting would make it all better....:?:
I will/have picked myself up and will show a weight loss this week.

I'll check in more often here, I really thinks that helps me keep plan.

Go Red team! We can do this:carrot::carrot::carrot::carrot:!!!

shan84 06-15-2010 09:21 AM

Hi ladies. Hope everyone has a great day today. I'm going to sleep...Tuesday night here.

Misspriss- Have fun at the bb game!

Everyone else- I'm having bad anxiety now. 15 days to the USA!! I stayed on plan for food today and got my exercise in! WOOHOO!

Oh and water was much better today!

Aclai4067 06-15-2010 10:21 AM

Hey ladies. Sooooo, I went WAY off plan yesterday after 5pm. But I actually tracked all of it so that I can't pretend it didn't happen (as I'm so inclined to do). I somehow even still have 8 flex points left this week. Today is a new day, starting over on plan. Talk to you ladies later. Have an excellent, on plan day!

TERAPET 06-15-2010 01:21 PM

Hi Team,

I am on plan today. Just finished a lovely green salad with lots of veggie add ins,ham and cheese and home made oil and vinegar dressing. I had a strawberry-banana-yogurt smoothie for breakfast. I love summer food. I have also been for a long walk and plan to go to the Y for body sculpting tonight.

Shan-Are you an American or are you just visiting? I am going on a trip to see my family in two weeks and hope to take off a few more pounds before I go. Very motivating!

Aclai-It couldn't have been too bad if you still have flex points. Wouldn't that mean you are still on plan? Your ticker shows that you are doing great. All is good.

BlueEyes-Hope your bil is doing better. I find stress makes eating right very difficult also. Hang in there.

misspriss-Have fun at the game. You might want to load up on water today so you are well hydrated in this heat. Good for weight loss too! (I am such a mom!)

AmyMW 06-15-2010 01:44 PM

Weekend was a bit rockey, but I am back on plan as of yesterday. Trying to study up for an interview and get my workouts in while working full time and having a toddler in the house.... is a lot... still getting everything done, but I am ready for a vacation.

Congrats on all the great losses this week (esp. Tina) and congrats to the Red Team for the win!

shan84 06-15-2010 05:04 PM

Terapet- Yes I'm an American. I've been living and teaching in South Korea for the past year and a half. This will be my first visit home since then. Also, going home over 100lbs lighter.

doc2b 06-15-2010 06:23 PM

Hey Red team CONGRATS on the week 2 win!

How are you all doing??

I am having an AMAZING DAY and just wanted to share with you all who know EXACTLY what I am going through! I Reached the halfway point in my June Workout Challenge, but more importantly I saw 199 this afternoon!!!:cheer2::cheer2:

It may just be water weight since I have recruited my husband (a strength and conditoning coach for athletes-- I know some of you are thinking IT WOULD BE AWESOME to have a husband as a pro. trainer...but it has its pros and CONS :p) to help me get away from the 202-204 range, and had a REALLY hard workout this morning. So hopefully I still see 199 tomorrow morning (then I will know for sure the scale isn't broke :dizzy:)

I hope everyone is doing well and are all on plan!

tinabinab 06-15-2010 06:44 PM

doc2b - Congrats on seeing one-derland!!! That is very exciting! ...and I totally "get it" on the hubby thing. DH has always been a football player / wrestler / track guy and I am frequently receiving his input on what he thinks I should and shouldn't be doing. I don't always appreciate his advice, but I also think he doesn't always appreciate how much time I spend reading and researching / trying things myself. :)

Shan - that is amazing! You must be so excited and nervous at the same time!! You're going to have a great time!

Aclai - Don't beat yourself up. You're still OP AND you still have flex points left. The main thing is you stayed true to program and documented it all. Besides, I think those occassional high point days are actually good for your body - some call it calorie cycling or zigzagging. I tend to lose weight on the weeks I have spikes in my points vs the ones where I stayed pretty static all week.

Fitin10 06-15-2010 06:48 PM

doc2b - That's an amazing milestone! Enjoy the new numbers.

Congrats on winning this week Tina!

Thinkgs are better now, I got through my last two weeks which were just filled with stress time bombs. I'm getting back to the bym tonight, and then we leave for a week's vacation on Sunday!

Hope you all are doing well!

TERAPET 06-15-2010 09:29 PM

Shan-Sweet. A cool one hundred! That is so exciting. First of all they haven't seen you in a looong time and then you lost a whole bunch of weight. Your family is going to go nuts! :cb:

doc2b-Congrats on reaching onederland.:bravo:

JenniLeeAnn 06-15-2010 09:31 PM

Congrats Tina and the entire Red Team! I'm trying to get it together here. Been a rough couple of weeks. But I'm back in the gym swimming almost everyday. My Mom just joined so that will make it more fun for me. I really need to get my booty in gear. I'm the maid of honor in a September wedding and need to lose in order to fit into my J. Crew dress.:crossed:

shan84 06-15-2010 11:39 PM

So excited, but extremely nervous and having really bad anxiety as it gets closer.

I'm showing a small loss already this week. That makes me happy. Working hard to maintain it and keep the weight dropping. I'm going to town to study again tonight, then having dinner with the bf, and then hitting the gym. My days have been pretty consistent for the past two weeks or so. Lots of studying, then small dinner, then 1-2 hour gym time. Home to shower and sleep by 10pm everyday.

Makes me crave the long sleep on the weekends though. haha!

Hope everyone has a good day!

Aclai4067 06-16-2010 12:08 AM

So Applebee's has this "Skinny Bee" Margarita that's supposed to be like 100 calories or something. I ordered it thinking the mix would just be weak and it would taste like rum. But it was so much worse; it was sooooo salty. Just an FYI, don't be lured into this horrible margarita trap!

TERAPET 06-16-2010 09:00 AM

Shan-Sorry about the anxiety thing. I hope the exercise helps you. I have anxiety problems myself. I don't think I could possibly take an airplane all the way to Korea!

Aclai-thanks for the margarita tip. Guess I will have to stick with the real thing!

I am off to the Y for a step class. Hope everybody's day is on plan

misspriss78 06-16-2010 10:59 AM

Morning

Im exhausted this morning. We didn't get home from the baseball game until 1:30am, there was a 2 hour rain delay:( which really sucked because i had my meals all planned out but by the time 11:30 came around i was really hungry. Im usually asleep by that time. DH got a cheeseburger meal and all four of us had some, i had about three bites of a cheeseburger then a small hand full of fries and felt better. Before the hamburger i had about 1350 calories wise so im estimating my calories after words around 1700-1800 so im still happy with my self. We also spent a lot of time walking around so i know i got rid of some of those extra calories...

I plan on getting in a nice power walk later on the treadmill today and thats it..im too tired..

Everyone have a great day:)

dangerouscurves76 06-16-2010 10:44 PM

Hi all,

I almost forgot to check-in tonight. I had such a CRAZY day! All I've been thinking about for hours is jumping in the bed and going to sleep.

Stressed out and tired as I was today, I managed to stay "mostly" OP. Think I went over my calorie allowance by about 250 cals. :dizzy: Not going to worry about that too much cause it could have been a whole lot worst. On the upside, I had a great workout this morning. I even increased the weight of the dumbbells. :D

Going to have to read this post again to see if it makes sense. Exhaustion is getting the best of me. Gotta run. Nite.

tinabinab 06-17-2010 12:17 AM

Evening ladies! Hope everyone is having a good week! I went to the running store for a gait analysis yesterday and (finally!) bought myself a new pair of shoes. Worked late yesterday though and didn't get to use them til today. I took the dog for our usual hour around the neighborhood after dinner. I admit, I must be turning into a health-nerd cause all day I was really looking forward to hitting the pavement and breaking in the new shoes! ...it didn't disappoint. I really love having the ME time and getting out into the fresh air. It's such a good feeling! :)

Aclai - thanks for the info - heading to Applebees with the girls tomorrow night. I would have been very tempted to try one of those!

r3yna09 06-17-2010 01:46 AM

Go red team...its nice to know that we won this time isnt it...lol
and congrants tina for being the bl keep it up.

well my week hasnt been so great my 10 month old son got a fever
of 104.7F. and wasnt feeling so great this week so he was literaly attached to me 24/7 but its ok im just glad he is getting better i hope the little bits of exercise i got to do while he was asleep will be enough....well hope you girls are dropping the pounds and staying on task i wish you all the best.

2phatinvictoria 06-17-2010 01:55 PM

Hello red team!

Holy crap.. i did a 10km hike last night! it was great! really nice views.. was just going to do 5km.. but the bf said why not finish it! It took us about 1h55min..
I got excited that it was starting to go down hilll.. then realized.. if were going down.. its going to go up and it did!!

I have been having a great week.. have been OP and getting my exercise in!

shan-anxiety sucks.. And over a year since you've seen your family! just think of how proud they will be of you! My parents live in Germany and by the time i get to go home it ill be a little over a year and a half.. so im hoping there jaws drop!

TERAPET 06-17-2010 02:34 PM

Hi Teamsters,

Having an on plan day. I spent two hours at the Y for body sculpting and zumba and my guesstimate is I used up around 600 calories for breakfast and lunch. The scale has stalled for the time being but I am working on my patience skills and holding out for the day it goes down again. I really want a smaller waistline and that is keeping me very motivated.

2phatinV-Good for you for finishing the 10K hike. Sounds fun.

r3yn-Glad to hear your little man is feeling better.

tina-Congrats on the new shoes. Sweet!

BlueEyes65 06-17-2010 05:50 PM

Hello red team:wave: Hope everyone is having a good week. I have been staying on plan all week with food and doing better with exercising. We finally had some sunshine this week so that helps perk up everyone around here . The weather really affects people. It's been a rainy June for us ,but today is hot:hot: and humid and we're under a tornado watch till 9:00 pm .

I'm off to get some supper:stir: going before hubby gets back for the weekend:love: ;) , and get a quick workout in.

Good luck ! Go red team:ebike:

Bette k 06-17-2010 10:25 PM

HI Red Team,
Sorry I haven't been around much, I just haven't been on line much and anyway I had a 5 lb gain due to TOM and being on prednisone. I finally got the 5 lbs gone and now can start working on the rest. I got my dd's new room painted and it turned out so pretty, the perfect little girl's room. I painted it cream then sponge painted lavender and pink. I also got the wallpaper pulled off the dining room. it was only part way up and came off easy, but I will have to put something else up there, the wall behind isn't in very good shape at all. I'm going to start washing the walls and patching the plaster there and in the kitchen tomorrow. I would like to move in August if I can.
I am also officially unemployed as of today. I don't know what I'm going to do, I don't think I'll qualify for unemployment.

Hope everyone has a great week
BetteK

shan84 06-18-2010 12:37 AM

I went off plan last night and again today with lunch. I'm really stressed and beyond pissed off at work right now. I only have 7 working days left and I feel like if I survive them it will be a miracle. Our Korean boss is completely unprofessional and incapable of making sound and legit changes. He is making changes for no reason and the changes are not good. I'm SO ANGRY! Everytime one day is bad, I go home and say oh, it will be better tomrrow but then the next day he does something even WORSE! When does it stop? SOON!!!!

Yeah so because of that my diet is off plan. I'm going back on plan tonight. I might have to take a freebie this weekend if I can't get my weight back down. I'll let ya'll know how it goes.

Hope everyone is doing alright!

Bettek- Sorry about losing your job. My dad has been unemployed for more than 1 year now. Originally he received unemployment but when that new law didn't pass, it took away his unempolyment. It's been a real struggle for my mom being the only one working. They live in the upper/mid class in Phoenix and its rough even for lots of their friends. Good luck! I'll pray for your situation.
