Default RED TEAM Chat Thread - Week 14 (4/5-4/11)

Hey ladies. Thought I'd go ahead and get us started this week. Congrats to all of you who did well and earned us a tie this week! And to those of you who didn't do too well (myself included), this is a new week and we can do better. We're getting close to the end here, so lets try to go out with a bang!

QOTD- What's your favorite on plan meal?

Wow, is it the last week already?! Crazy!

QOTD- What's your favorite on plan meal?
We have a fairly new franchise in our area called Baker Bros. Deli and they have a Napa Valley sandwich that I could just die over! It's a basic turkey sandwich on their wheat bread, topped with a tomato pesto. It's served warm. I have the cafe/half size (which is about the same size as a regular sized sandwich) and usually pair it with a small cup of fruit. I highly recommend - and think I just decided where to have lunch tomorrow.

Tina- It's not the last week. We extended the challenge until the end of April because of the delay on the show because of the Olympics being shown. Good luck!

Well ladies, I went and had the blood work done last week. Got the results today. Doc says everything is good. Makes me so angry. And then the bf is standing there and says, "It just means you need to exercise more." He made me so angry and I told him so. UGH!! Anyways, now that I know my inside body is ok I am seriously considering forking over the $350 for a personal trainer 4 times a week for one hour a day for one month. See how it goes for one month. I only have 12 weeks now until I head home to the states for a visit. It will be the first time my friends and family see the progress I have made. So excited and nervous. I really want to work hard these next 12 weeks.

Hope everyone has a good week this week.

Oh, and my favorite on plan meal depends on what time of day it is. For breakfast, I love my special k w/ banana and low fat milk. For lunch, I love my pineapple chunks, and turkey, swiss, lettuce, mustard roll ups. For dinner, I love love love my burrito nights with chicken or lean beef and tons of veggies and salsa.

I'm back from spring break- visiting family in MN. Had a great time, but didn't stay OP so have to get back on track. Maybe I can blame a lot of the gain on TOM fast approaching?! I did walk/ run the dog almost everyday. I had looked in to doing drop-in aerobics classes, but they wanted $20 for a day pass-ugh!
Shan- sorry you're so frustrated. Some times we have to a look at other victories rather than just the scale. Have you taken measurements of your body? Tried on different clothes? I've noticed when the scale isn't moving sometimes I just need to change up what I'm eating as my body has become too accustomed to my routine. Lately vie been eating yogurt instead of oatmeal for breakfast.
I love having a salad for lunch with either feta or blue cheese, nuts, apples, and some othere kind of protein (usually tuna or chicken).
I'll try to get back into regular posting this week too

Well I'm on Spring Break this week. I went to Asheville, NC on Saturday and my parents house in Athens for Easter. I was way off plan for both, and the scale was practically screaming at me yesterday morning. But I got right back on plan and today I've dropped off 2 lbs in water weight (but I'm still up 2 lbs ). But since I have the time off, I'm really working on being active. I walked 5 miles yesterday and today, and I have lots of chores to do around the apartment to keep me active. I'm not moving til the end of May, but I start a long term sub position as soon as spring break is over that will last until May 25, so I have to start packing the non-essentials and painting now.
You ladies have an excellent week!

Its been so quiet here lately. Hope everyone is having a good week. My week is blah. Been sick all week. Have my vacation time Monday-Wednesday next week so I am looking forward to some R&R at home. Also decided to go join back to the gym in town next week. I'm just not able to motivate myself enough to do my workout dvds at home everyday. Anyways, hope everyone has a good end to their week. I'm going on a weekend trip to visit a friend and then I'm coming home to post my weight for the week. I'm hoping we do a lot of walking around this weekend so I can try to drop some extra weight.

The boyfriend broke up with me tonight out of nowhere. I'm so hurt and beyond upset. I still have to go away for the weekend. When I come back, I'll post again to let everyone know I'm still around. I need the accountability of being on here everyday so I know that I have a purpose. I have a reason for wanting to be healthy and it had nothing to do with him. I was losing all my weight long before we started dating. It's hard to spend 6 months with someone, and in the flash of 10 minutes everything is over.

Oh Shan- :hugs: to you. It's so hard when life sucker punches us out of the blue. Don't let this derail all the progress you've made. Be good to yourself and focus on your upcoming trip home so you can WOW your family. :hugs: we're here for you.
I've been lurking as we get back into our normal routine after spring break. Ready for TOM to begin, but am back to my 'normal' weight after 3/4 days of more healthy eating. Thank goodness.

Uhg, Shan, sorry to hear about the bf...

...and thanks for the info about the extension - I noticed that one or two peeps had added two weeks to their weigh-in thread, but I wasn't really sure why. I'm glad to have another two weeks. I'll admit I have not been trying as hard since hitting one-derland. Just sorta maintaining here. The weather is starting to turn nice - consistently - and I need to hit the pavement as often as I can.

I got my bloodwork results last week and my numbers were all looking good (except the thyroid, which they up'd my meds AGAIN! I'm so frustrated about that - you'd think I'd need less since losing some weight!)

hehe, and I DID go to Baker Bros last week and had that sandwich. MMMmMmMmmM!!!

Well I dropped 2lbs this week. Probably in the past 3 days though. My emotions are crap and I feel like my life has been turned upside down. I have two and a half months to get through before I can go home and figure out what to do next. I haven't been able to listen to my body these past couple of days. I know my calories were way to low. Plus I'm still sick. And now I'm emotionally sick so I don't know what lies ahead.

Hope everyone has a good Sunday.

Shan, I'm so sorry about the breakup.

Everyone, I'm going to be in a meeting at work until after 2:30 this afternoon, so the results won't be ready until after that (the team worksheet is at work). Sorry!
