I think going for longer workouts is a necessity and getting into a routine where I feel comfortable and can reap the rewards. HOWEVER, if I'm being 100% honest today is the first day of 2010 where I have taken the healthy eating seriously. I felt hungry around 8pm so I ate some sugar free jello for 0 calories. I don't even like it, but the sweetness got rid of my "hunger" which was really just a naughty evening craving. I honestly feel like I'm 100% on track for the first time since this challenge started. Before today I have only been putting in 70% effort and kidding myself. I also saw a quote in someone's sig today that said "Don't wail on the scale, if you're cheating with your eating!" and it is SO TRUE. I feel fab and tomorrow I will be taking my exercise up a notch by working out for an hour instead of 35 mins. I may take a freebie this week as I think a break from the scale is in order. Thanks lovely ladies. You are very motivating and wonderful :yay: |

Hi ladies I hope everyone is having a good day mine wasn't to bad except this morning I was feeling skinny (or as skinny as 202 can be) so I jumped on the scale all excited......I gained 1.2lbs.....so much for skinny thoughts.:dizzy:

I love sugar free jello:D I think that you should keep an eye on the time of exercise more isn't always best...listen to you body not just your head on this one. good luck babygrant - here is to all of whooshing in weight congrats on the 45 min walk on the treadmill ethsmommy - Welcome to the site.....Happy Bowling Mercy03 - Hi... I hope you have a great day at work mageorge - WOW 60 min of exercise every day that's alot....do you ever give yourself a rest day so that you body can repair itself. I know how you feel on the 3lb gain as any gain is not fun but you most likley either have water retention or muscle gain so try not to let it get you down retirdone - I'm glad you had a good walk today.....couldn't even jump up and down....LOL hope your able to take steps again. Soon2BeFitChick - Hello I hope you can get a little time to yourself again. Afternoon ladies!!!
Welcome Tiffany!! Glad to have you here! Mercy - How's the workouts going?? I've been working on building up my running. I think I'm going to take a different route from the calorie obsessing. I have too much else to stress over right now. When DH is allowed to work out again, it's back to weight lifting for me! Bigmid - If you are feeling skinner, than I bet you are and the scale is just being a butthead from water weight. Shoupfamily - Glad you are back on the wagon!! Weebles - WAHOO!!! good for you!!! Selina - Girl, you are the busiest lady I have ever seen! You should definitely win an award for most dedicated mommy! OK, so like I said to Mercy, I'm going to try a different approach to this thing. I know how to eat right, so I'm going to focus on upping my activity instead of obsessing over calories. I am going to start training for a 5k. I've always wanted to be a runner, so what better time to start than the present? I did a whole mile straight last night, then walked, then .25 mile, then walked, then another .25 mile. Total was 3 miles, so half run, half walk. My asthma flared up at the end, so I had to slow it down in between. I'm going to see my Dr. about getting me a new inhaler, mines expired because I never used it. I always just avoided the activities that flared up my asthma. Not anymore! So, let's make it a great day everyone!!! |
Nella, I'm going to wait until the temps are above frizzering, then I'm going to start too. :)

Hi Blue Team!
Sorry I've been MIA. Well, after going through the heavier grieving in January, the flu in early February,:barf: now my L knee is hurting badly, sheesh, enough already. I've been wanting to get onto the elliptical, and I will, as soon as the swelling goes down. Man, I'm so tired of being "down" with something!!!:p My spirits are up though, getting better in my grief.:flow1: Along with all your support, I'm sure the nice weather here and there has helped too. Welcome, Tiffany, you seem like a real sweetheart so you'll fit right in with all these dear, dear ladies. I forgot to weigh in this past week, so one freebie down, though I do have a loss to report so it will help this next week. That's it for me for now, I'm still here. Dora |
Good evening ladies!
Welcome Tiffany! Dora, I hope your knee feels better soon. We are getting hit with that northeast snow storm right now. I got to leave work about an hour early...they never close early, so you know it's bad out! I am hoping the winds they predicted don't actually happen. It's only 63 in the house as it is, if the power goes out...I don't even want to think about it! I'm glad we're actually getting snow with this one (love snow), the other two storms this month totally missed us. I need to catch Glee in reruns or on DVD. I only saw a few episodes, but I really liked it. I have 2 songs from Glee on my iPod workout playlist! I am OP this week, hoping to get to my first mini-goal by Sunday morning! |
I'm baaaccckkkkk!!!!! Woohoo...sooo happy to be back.. my laptop is still not been fixed but have the use of an old tower from work.. :) so at least I can get here...
Welcome Tiffany!! so excited to have you join us!!! Also huge  to all of my other blue beauties!! :D lol I have been doing well this week as far as exercise... everyday this week so far.. which is huge for me... and eating has been good for the MOST part.. just that I find doing this Insanity workout makes me hungry alot..lol but am doing much better then I was.. so heres to that and I know it is all a process and in comparison to 20pounds ago..lol I am 95xs more on the ball.. As most of you know, my bf has been fighting cancer for some time now.. his health has deterierated even more and he is not doing well at all .. so, please if you pray, pray. I will see you all this evening.. hope you all have a wonderful Friday... and thank you all for being here and being the people that you are. |
Angela - Glad to have you back with us!! I will keep your BF in my thoughts.
|
Welcome back Angela! :D
I'm not taking a freebie this week after all as I couldn't resist a step on the scales and my efforts in the last two days have made up for my bad behaviour earlier in the week and I have stayed the same. So, 195.5 - Lowest weight of 2010. I was back in the gym at 7:30am today and feel great. I am hoping to be out of the 190s in two weeks time. But that will only happen if I don't mess up this weekend. I'm off visiting friends and there's usually a LOT of booze around. I'm ok avoiding food, but when the wine comes out and everyone's partying that's a different matter. I am going to need some serious willpower!! :rollpin: |
Angela-Your BF is in my prayers.....don't give up on hope!!!!
|
 Angela. I'll keep your boyfriend in my thoughts. Are you able to get down to see him anytime soon? x 1000
Looks like I'll be taking a freebie this week unless something drastic changes. |

|
I've fallen off the wagon and I can't run fast enough to get back on! HEEEEEEEEEEEELP!!!!!!!
Seriously though.....today has sucked. Sucked because I'm cranky....sucked because my eating has been HORRIBLE, sucked because I didn't get any exercise in and sucks because it feels like I've lost that drive. :( I WILL be taking a freebie this week. I'm waiting for DH to get home so I can talk with him. He's really good at motivating me. I just feel......blah. |
I fell off the wagon, under the wheels and the horse trotted all over me. (Shoupfamily, you have company, but I think you got back up already.Oh, no, not you too Babygrant!) I ate potato chips last night, at a housewarming party, in big handfuls, with several kinds of dip, and cleaned out one dish completely so as it looked as if it had been washed. I'm seeping salt and grease from every pore and orifice in my body. I couldn't eat today until suppertime. Waz wrong with me????
I need a little self motivation. :club::rollpin::frypan: Weebles, "blue team secret weapon" :lol3: Angela, I'll keep your BF in my prayers. So sad this is happening to both of you. Gone to clean kitchen. Have a great weekend everyone. |
Hey blues!
I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. Angela, I will say a prayer for your BF. It must be a slippery wagon this week, lots of people fell right off! No worries, it will be a new week soon. I am watching the news of Chile right now, and praying for the nations in the Pacific bracing for the tsunami that will hit soon. All these disasters lately are so scary. Everyone take care. |
hey guys! i weighed in today.......just how i have been doing it...and I'm down 3.3lbs!! woohoo...after no loss the first week......this loss feels wonderful!! Don't worry if you feel off the wagon......thats why you have us....to pick you up, help dust you off, and throw back up on the SOB!!!! :D Don't let every pitfall determine how the rest of your life is going to be!! its only one day...change the next one!! wow......i seriously sound like bob.....haha!! can you tell i like the biggest loser!! lol!! Go blue team with our secret....ok...so I'm gonna have random movie quote time..."rewease the secrwet weapon"!!!-American Tail (gotta love Fivel) Anways.....hope everyone feels better....and good job!!! :carrot::carrot::carrot: shake it out ladies!!

Hello everyone I didn't post yesterday but I read all the comments.
Soon2BeFitChick - I hope your training goes well this weekend and you get those boys soon. I also hope that the scale and TOM are nice to you this weekend. ethsmommy - Congrats on the loss that's huge:carrot: babygrant - Try not to worry about the 2lbs, I hope DH helped with the motivation, I'm sorry you feel crappy but it will go away. Here is to drastic changes so you don't have to take a freebie Mercy03 - Thanks I will try to keep with the skinny it is after all my ultimate goal. Nella - I am hoping the scale is just a butthead I weighed this morning and I was down I just hope it sticks for tomorrow. WTG on concentrating on uping your activity. Awesome job on doing 1/2 run and 1/2 walk. I would like to start the C25K in the spring once the snow is gone for sure. Doragone - That just sucks about your knee, I am glad that you are starting to feel better emotionaly though. The nicer weather can make you feel better though can't it. I hope you knee heals soon ars - I'm sorry but I think you may be a little crazy......liking the snow and sad that 2 storms passed you by....crazy:D:D You can all the snow that is to come here before spring comes. Glad to hear you've had a good OP week. It is very sad about Chile and it really puts into perspective on our own lives here. Cape Breton Chick - Prayers for you BF, I'm glad you got the computer thing figured out for now. Dayoneagain - good for you for getting to the gym...and so early. Staying the same is good and I hope you can avoid the temptations of the wine this weekend if not I hope you have fun:) weebleswobble - I would like to start running too but like you I will wait til it gets nicer out. retirdone - mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.....chips & dip. As long as you didn't lick out the bowl your okay:D maybe they won't count at all seeing as you are seeping from every orfice...LOL Well I weighed myself this morning and I was back down + 1.2 more I just hope it lasts to tomorrows weigh in. I worked out twice today and for the huge milestone........I am now longer obese according to the Wii this morning:carrot::carrot: Have a great night everyone and here's to all of us having a great weigh in tomorrow. |
Didn't avoid the booze. However, I did buy vodka and sugar-free soda and kept track of all my calories. I didn't eat one thing off plan AT ALL all weekend, even with the drinking - which is a major achievement.
AND my appetite has gone down. What a good week :) |
Hey everyone! Just a quick note to say I'm still 100% on plan but so busy!!! I hope you all are well!
|
First, I want to say I am sorry for letting my fellow blue team members down. I know I did everything I was supposed to, but...Well, I thought about taking a freebie this week, but might as well face the facts (scale). I have no idea how I can be up by 4.4 pounds. I stayed on my points all week and I worked out at least 60 minutes a day, most days logging over 12,000 steps! I am so disgusted and ready to quit. Part of my thinks why bother counting points, exercising if it is getting you no where! I don't even use the activity points or extra 35 I am alloted for a week. Does anyone have any ideas why this is happening to me? I use salt in moderation, so I don't think it is that. Ugh! Help!:(

Ars, what plan are you on? I always look at your weigh in's and they rock!

Other than that, I try to eat healthy foods and get in some moderate cardio exercise a few times a week. I keep a food journal. I use a food scale to measure everything. I try to avoid eating out at places that don't post calorie approximations anywhere. I prepare and freeze individual meals ahead of time. I keep Lean Cuisines on hand in the event that I cannot curb a craving for pizza or fried food (the paninis work great for fried food cravings). I got to 300 pounds because I wasn't using food for nutrition, I was using it to feed an addiction. The GoWear Fit helps me to understand what my body needs, and helps me to not give in to what I want. I keep telling everyone who asks me about it that it's like a little person sitting on my shoulder telling me "no" and holding me accountable for all my food choices. I don't always like what that little person has to say, but there is no arguing with the cold hard facts. |
Wow...I preached and sang today at church and came home and promptly fell asleep. Forgot to WI...just going to do that now....
|
Hello Blue Team~
I'd like to apologize for bailing on ya'll the last couple of weeks. I've had some stuff to deal with and didn't want to be a Debbie Downer here. So I've dealt with what I needed to and am ready to start hitting it again!! Surprisingly my weight has stayed the same, I was afraid of a big gain when I weighed in this morning. Got my workouts planned for the week, which I've not been doing that either, but I"m ready to concentrate on myself and my health!!! I will try to catch up with the posts. I hope everyone is doing well. :grouphug: |
And, I had a bit of a panic today when I put on my SMALLEST suit (a 16) and the pants looked like clown pants. Luckily I wear a robe at church...I am just going to hit a thrift store and see if I cant find some black/neutral blazers to hold me over until I get where I'm going...
|
Great Job Everyone!!! Keep up the great work~
