Hi! I'm OP but think I'm about to start because my weight is still not back down. Uggh! :yikes:

I am doing good. Still OP, but am dedicated to eating more fresh fruit and veggies! I bought a bunch of 100 calorie snack foods to keep around "in case of emergencies" but they've been sneaking into my diet, so I want to get back into eating fruit/veggies/cheese/nuts for snacks. |

Oh man, I was just coming on here to vent about my week too! I hope that isn't why Nella's leaving us for a bit... So when I last posted, I was really happy about the way things were going. Mostly about the potential interview I had lined up. Wellllll, one of my bosses (process of elimination) decided to tell the potential boss (when he called them) that I wasn't really done yet with my grad thesis and so I wouldn't be ready for a postdoc. Right. Thanks, dude. After EVERYTHING I did for you - trained people, showed up to lab EVERYDAY for 12 hours, helping you with your grants, working on two projects for YOU all the while hoping that this would leave you with a good impression of me so that you could convince potential bosses to hire me. The ONE thing I wanted from you and you threw me under a bus. Nice. The reason he thinks I'm not done is because I'm working on a second paper with him that we will be submitting within the next couple of weeks. I won't be doing any more experiments for it - it's an issue of "can't" not "won't". I can't believe he did this to me. I'm SO angry! :mad: I decided to take that anger and focus it on other things, like my workouts. Haha. So I've been on plan so far even with snacks in the house. I went for a 4.5 mile walk yesterday. I felt really good after my walk - listened to some music that got my heart rate up! Plus, it was beautiful out, so I was happy. I accidentally left my baby bell pepper plants outside a couple of nights and they were wilted when I brought them back in yesterday. I was so depressed! Today they're unwilting (it's a word, heh ;)) and getting back to where they were. Whew! Close call. I've been growing them since Sept and according to this gardening website, they should be ready to give me peppers sometime in April. I'm so close so I don't want them to die on me... Ok, that's it for me. One of my goals this week is to log in here more often. I was addicted to these forums last Challenge. I wonder what's wrong with me now... Quicky before work!!! Oh my do my muscles hurt from doing the firm wave yesterday and today. AHHHHH! Got up bright and early to get it done before work. I'm hoping I don't retain for the weigh in due to super sore muscles.

I just can't really post any details because a certain someone likes to stalk me and my DH online. I swear you guys are fine!!! Vent away!!!! Please!!! But, I FINALLY made it to the 150's this morning. 159.2, and it's TOM, so I'm super psyched. With all the added drama and stress going on right now, I have skipped 2 days at the gym, and I was sure there was going to be an ugly gain. But then a happy, happy surprise this morning to make me feel better for about 5 minutes, then I went back into my dramatic reality :( I'm trying so hard to stay focused and positive, but there is a certain thorn *ahem - person* in mine and DH's side that just keeps digging in deeper. This thorn refuses to leave us alone, and keeps trying to pull ridiculous stunts and turn our life upside down. There's a reason I don't like roses, it's because they have thorns. I don't like thorns. |
