Purple Team "Bridging the Gap" Chat Week 1
Good Morning Everyone!!! This will be our accountability challenge for over the holidays to keep us strong heading into the new challenge in the new year. It is a combined team challenge, so it is open for all and any who would like to participate, who was on ethier Fall team or has signed up for the Winter Challenge. This challenge will run until the new teams are announced for the Winter Challenge (ethier New Years Eve or Day) We are going to keep the weigh in days the same as they are now. So if you want to participate, head on over to the weigh in thread and weigh in now.. :)
To anyone new joining us, team leaders are Monte and myself, so if you have any questions or concerns please post them in the QnA sticky ( http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/bigg...em-here-o.html ) and we will answer them as soon a s possible! GOOD MORNING PURPLE PEOPLE!!!! I'm ready to knock a couple or three pounds off my weight by the end of this month. Who's with me???? Come on gals and remember Christmas isn't the only time you can taste and eat food. All things in moderation this year.

Hello ladies .... well I was in the red team , always quiet . But like I am getting better whit my english ,I am trying to chat a little more.
So my last WI was 146.6 on friday but them I WI on monday and was 150.2 , I can't belive what a two days off can do ,I did well yesterday and today I am at 149.2 so going in the right dirrecion. My goal for december was 143 , but like I am breastfeeding my 3 months baby is hard to lose the weight because you can not go to low whit your calories in order to keep your milk suplied . So I will just love to be on 145's by new years. I am doing WW , and I was eating 31 points so this week I am trying 29 to see what happen. See you around ....... |
Hello ladies. My goal by New Year's is to be in the 200s so I'm looking to lose 10lbs in the next two and a half weeks. I've been down and out with swine flu this past week, but I'm ready to get going again. Thanks for keeping me accountable!

I just wanted to pop in on m y lunch break and say congrats to the Red Team for being Fall 2009 Challenge' Biggest Losers as well as to IgetFit for being our biggest individual winner(loser)!! As well as Isabella.. Congrats on being the Blue Teams Biggest Loser... Great Job all around Ladies!!!
My goal for the new year / new challenge will be to finally be out of the 200's and living in Onerderland! :) I have been teetering there for a couple of months now.. and it is time to finally get out of them for good! |

I love this Purple team!! My goal is to get down to 160 by the end of the year. That's 5.8 pounds (as of this morning) to go. I've got some serious work to do! Let's do this! I have been gathering the data since day one.. and have recorded anyones weight who has already weighed in.. but since the deadline is the 29th.. I will go over everyones sign up post again to gather weights, as I know alot of people are waiting until then to post their weights, so i will double check all sign ins to be sure in case of changes... in short yes until the 29th make all the changes you need to lol :D

Hey purple team. Well I'd loooove to be in the 230s by Jan 1, but I'm a pretty slow loser so my main goal is to get under 245 (my 2nd mini goal). I'm expecting to reach that this week. The following week I have a lot going on, in addition to Christmas, I have a friends bachelorette party and wedding and my sister's birthday. So I'll be quite happy to maintan or gain less than 1 pound that week!

Aclai-I, too, am looking to kinda hold on weight-wise right now. I have a lot on my plate right now and don't want to stress about anything for Christmas.
I debated not joining the challenge (this and the Spring one) since I'm near my goal (which changes as I go, I might add). I have since decided I have room to lose at least another 6-10 pounds after the new year. I hope Red will still have me (if that's where they place me) and take my smaller losses. I'm prepared to be strong over the 3 Christmases I have remaining and hold my weight steady (at least). I'm extremely pleased with how things have progressed so far this month. I've managed my way through 2 birthday gatherings and one weekend in my home town for family Christmas #1 with a loss to show for it. Life is good! Time to finish strong for 2009. |

As you probably have noticed, there has been a poll added to the top of this thread. Monte and I were discussing the possibility of having the weigh in deadline be on a Sunday evening (6pm-est), and then everyone and all of the chat/challenge threads would be all starting fresh on a Monday morning, instead of mid-week. But we would like all of your input.. so we have decided to put it to a vote.. so please vote and we will go with the majority. :) I hope everyone has a great Wednesday.. I think I have been fighting off a bug this week, as I have had this constant headache/dizziness and now this morning I have woken with a sore throat and mild ear ache... I really hope it is nothing major.. time to start over dosing on Vit. C and Zinc Lozenges again.. lol :grouphug: |
I want to be under 250 by new years. That is around 12 pounds...I am striving for it but will be happy if I can get real close given the time of year.

My thoughts on changing the weigh in day are this: for me, I forget to do things on the weekends. I'm not online much because we have too much going on, so it's possible I would be out fairly quickly because of this.
But, on second thought- if you do want to change it, I can just change my weigh ins to Friday, that way it meets the deadline. No harm no foul. Plus, I've been wanting to change my weigh ins to Friday anyway, because those darn weekends do me in, lol. |
I like the idea of a Sunday weigh-in because it make the week all neat and tidy in my head (if that makes sense to anyone). But it doesn't really matter. I weigh in and post on Saturday anyhow.

i spent some of my afternoon jumping on our new trampoline with DS....didn't wear my HRM though....but i got on it this afternoon after we got DD from school and wore my HRM then and jumped for 10 minutes - was a 164 cal burn ;) so i just used that number to help figure the 40 minutes i was on earlier with DS....so overall a great cal burn ;) now to make dinner and fluff the tree for decorating later ;)My parents are coming into town early next week, so we're excited to have them here for our Christmas celebrating :) and will have another christmas in Jan after the hubby gets home :) yippee!!! counting down till his homecoming ;)
i seem to be holding at between 147-150...so hoping i can get some of the belly flab gone before hubby gets home (have gained back the 20 lbs i lost before he left in Feb)....wanna look good for homecoming celebration :) lol |

I am finding this week to be passing very slowly.. but on the plus side I received my Biggest Loser Last Chance Workout dvd in the mail today.. woo hoo.. it looks really good, I skimmed through it and can not wait to try it! I plan on following the plan they have in the menu.. a workout for each day of the week.. :yay: lol

We had rain yesterday and don't have any snow left.
I must confess I had a potato chip melt-down last night. Ate quite a few but not the whole bag. DH had bought 3 bags when I was gone and there was one left in the cupboard. We were at his mom's last night and I tasted some she had there and that just started me off when I got home. I got on my bike and did another hour of peddling trying to counteract the effects of the chips. What's with the chips anyway? They aren't that good and I could have a handful and be done with them but no, I had to tunnel through the bag....sigh....I had a little, itty bite of fruit cake after lunch today and I was totally satisfied with that. Wish I could do the same for chips. Oh well, a few years ago I'd have bought in about 30 bags to get me through the two weeks of Christmas. I've come a long way from that. I'm not buying any chips this Christmas. Anyone who wants them had better buy their own and keep them out of the cupboard! I jumped on the scales this morning and I'm up a pound but I don't know if that has anything to do with the chips. I'm using my scales now again and it may just be the difference from DIL's scales and mine. Should have weighed when I got home to make a real comparison. Anyhoo, enough of that subject...too late now anyway. :D Mandy, so glad you'll have your parents with you over the holidays. Not as good as having your DH home but pretty close. Wow, I didn't know a trampoline burned so many calories. Wish I had one now, haha. I'd probably kill myself on a trampoline as I'm a #1 klutz (MIL always tells me I'm clumsy). Angela, I've noticed over the past couple of years I've been on 3FC that members from Cape Breton have overly harsh winters. Not that we don't get our share on this side of the pond but Cape Breton seems to get more storms. Be careful girl, especially on the ice. Hope you have on your snow grips by now. Good morning purple people! It's a good morning here anyway. I've had my healthy breakfast and gotten my workouts in, so I can "play" on 3FC guilt-free for a bit. :D Today should be a nice day. I have some cleaning/organizing to do, but then I should have time to relax and maybe even read a bit before picking up the kids from school. We'll see how it goes...

Good afternoon ladies. Well, I had to weigh in early this week and it went really well. Kinda too well, like I'm scared it's all going to come back at any minute. The past few weeks I've done okay, but I haven't been doing great. My exercise is half assed, my eating could definitely be better, but the weight is just melting off! Not complaining, just nervous. Waiting for the other shoe to drop I guess. I lost 5 pounds in 5 days. It doesn't feel real.
