Thanks so much dream710!! :)

yah i googled it. it said to simply listen to your body and see how you feel. and something about the neck up. if your symptoms affect you from the neck up, its okay to exercise lightly. but if you have a fever and body aches, then best not to.

so i'm just doing very light exercise today. taking lots of rest and drinking loads of water.
occassionaly throughout the day , i am going to do 10 minutes worth of steps. which burns about 40 calories. and being careful with my food intake. i hope i get better by tommorow so i workout.

Nella good for you to put it behind you and its a fresh brand new week this week!

Echo, great info, thanks! Way to go with your hard workouts and congratulations on the 2 lbs, that is fantastic. I hope you are feeling better soon  As far as exercising I think the rule is as long as you don't have a fever it's ok to exercise. If you feel up to it maybe just do some light workouts and see how you feel.

congratulations Narnia!! thats super 1.5lb loss for a week is great! and CONGRATULATIONS for entering onederland!! woohoo!! double celebrations :celebrate: awesome ! :bravo: :cb: :cb: :broc: :cheer3: :cheer3:

aww thanks so much! :)
and thank you for the information. thats good advice!!! i will just do some light exercises and not push myself too much, as i dont want my immune system to be compromised whilst its fighting my cold. plenty of rest :beach:

Hope you feel well soon. I would stay away from any strenuous exercise with a cold especially if it is in the chest area. A walk probably wouldn't hurt if you are feeling well enough. A great home remedy for a sore throat is to wrap a wet cold piece of cloth around your neck (a long sock will do) and then wrap a warm scarf around the wet cloth (or some other long piece of cloth). The cold cloth draws more white blood cells to the area and helps clear up the sore throat. It really works. I've been doing it since I was a child.

aww thanks so much for the advice!! really appreciate it retiredone!! okay i will stay away from strenous exercise. good idea about walking. i will do that too :) you rock! :running:

wow thanks for the home remedy. that sounds so interesting!! will definately try that !! thanks so much!! thanks for the support

wow i learn so much from you guys! :carrot:

we always weigh in - in the same thread. you just edit your own post, and add the weight.
just copy the template Dixie has made. you dont make a new post.

Narnia - :carrot::carrot::carrot::carrot::carrot: WOOT! I can't wait to be back in ONEderland! Save a spot for me, would ya!

All you other chicks keep up the good work too. This is a quick post to let you all know that I am signing up for a boot camp. Free class tonight. Six week ordeal starts next Monday. I am doing it for US! We gotta do those things that we know we need, but are so easy to blow off. Seriously... the commitment makes me want to puke. I am seriously creating physical illness symptoms because I am scared to death to pay the $ and then have to show up too. I need to do it though, so I will. One class at a time. Thats all I have to do, right?

I am challenging the rest of you to make this week (and week 4) a new start for something for yourself. Just move that one foot in front of the other. COME ON!!!!!! We can rock it! GO BLUE!

retiredone 10-05-2009 04:20 PM

Good luck with boot camp Nixmom. Paying $ will help to motivate you. You'll do great.

So throughout the week - the scale has been up.... :( But this morning, my weight was back to where it was a week ago so hopefully I'm finally back in a downward trend...!

My commitment was really off, but I'm back to being fully committed and I actually found a really good walking buddy now. Today we walked 3 miles! I feel like I want to cut off my legs, but I know the more I do it the better I will feel. Back OP!

:congrat: Way to go on getting back on plan and finding a walking buddy. You will feel better the more you do and you will be surprised at how quickly that will happen. Keep up the hard work!!

Glad to hear it. I am addicted to the scale and weigh at least once a day but those fluctuations are the reason most people agree a once a week weigh in is best.

Rhonda- :cp::cp: So glad your are doing so well this week. I was just reading about vitamin D for hair loss as well as bone loss. I bought some today to begin tomorrow. My hair is very thin so I am hoping for the added benefit of extra energy and hair!

Oh my gosh....this past week has been awful. Found out my Uncle has to have surgery so hopefully he won't end up a quad and can continue to breathe on his own. Had to put my 15 year old kitty to sleep because of feline leukimia and I think the thyroid meds are messing with my plan. I took a freebie this week so I am hoping to regroup. If any one has experience with thyroid meds and weight loss....please help.

Bluesers!!!!! you all are rocking it!

The Swine

:(

I think my boy has The Swine Flu. He's been sick for a couple of days, Achy, Off and on low grade fever, Dry cough, sore throat, headache...I kept him home today, but he's no better. I am taking him to the ER tomorrow.

I think I should stay away from the GYM until we know for sure. I don't want to spread anything and now I have a sore throat too.

mebhealthy 10-05-2009 11:38 PM
