Default Red Rockets - Week 11

Almost forgot when I posted in the other thread.

Good morning ladies, don't forget today is WI day.

I'm down a pound but still not down to my lowest weight along this journey. I try not to kick myself but it's a little frustrating. With my cruise coming up I can almost guarantee that I will gain a few pounds. Speaking of my cruise the stats for the week of the 17th will not be posted until the 20th; both Dee and I will be out of town.

Mack and I did a 7 mile hike yesterday that was very nice. Here are some pictures: http://www.flickr.com/photos/4106149...57621926561670

Shannon you look GREAT.

Suzanne - Trying to stay on plan in Vegas is like staying on plan on a cruise. Vegas has some of my favorite restaurants. My last couple of trips (I live 2.5 hours away) I have packed a cooler with ALL of my food for the weekend.

Shari - Glad you are in your new apartment. It may take awhile but it will all come together.

Mindy - Hang in there, the 170's are just around the corner.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. I think taking that pic really helped me re-energize my journey.

Hope you all had a good Monday! Heading to bed, so I'll try to post more tomorrow.

*sigh* Ok so I know I'm not eligible anymore for the title. I can't believe what a challenge it has been to get the computer lately. when this challenge started I thought I would never ever miss a weigh in day, but instead I missed 3. :-(

Good Job everyone keep up the good work!

Good Wednesday morning to you all. I have missed exercising yesterday and Saturday but for the most part I have been doing level 2 of the 30 day Shred. I only lost one pound last week but i have been very snacky lately. I usely only have my scheduled snacks but lately when I get home from work I think things like only a few cheezits won't hurt or a couple of almonds here or there and as you are guessing I can't stop at a few, which is why I refrain from crackers/chips/fries. Last night we were at a football scrimmage for 2 of my sons and before I new it i had eaten 5 BBQ potato chips. When my kids are playing I get nervous and I was just eating out of habit so I am definately going to have to stop that. Saturday is the Football jamboree and I am going equiped with frutis and quick veggies like carrot sticks. I just need to be more diligent in my planning. I still have a lot of weight to loose so I need to stay on track.

Hope everyone is doing well and stays on plan!!!

I have a question for everyone...What are your favorite healthy snacks?

Favorite healthy snacks would be Clif and Cascadian Farms bars. I'm a huge fan of anything Clif and Cascadian Farms makes. I have yet to find one of their bars that I didn't like.

Before I forget I wanted to see if anyone was interested in being team leader for the next challenge. I have several trips planned so didn't think it would work with my schedule. If you are interested drop Dixie (blue team leader) a PM and let her know. In the near future she will be posting the information for the next challenge.

OK.... snakes for me are mostly fruit; I especially love frozen grapes. I also have found that the cheddar Quakes (mini rice cakes) taste like cheese doodles, one of my favorite chip like snacks.

I'm taking a break from the treadmill today due to a blister that got stepped on by one of the dogs. I never new a blister could hurt so bad.

Mikayla - Good to see you still posting. You are always welcome here.

I've gotten off track, due to camping etc.
I think it's the lack of a consistent routine due to kids in day camps, camping on the weekends & my working split shifts (I can come up with loads of excuses! LOL)
But I'm trying to get back on track between now & the 14th (when we go on our next camping trip)...
Shannon-you look great!
Cat- I tried looking at your hike pics but the link didn't work?!
Amy- 1 lb at a time & before you know it you'll be at your next goal!

Need to get ready for work- have a great rest of the day!

Hi everyone! Hope you're having a great week so far. I've been getting back into the work routine and focusing on staying on plan. Tried to make it to the gym but have been working overtime since I've been back and I'm just exhausted! (You would think there'd be less of this at a gov't. job, not more - ha!)

My favorite healthy snacks: raw zucchini chips, cauliflower flowerets, fruit (particularly cherries, cantaloupe, or watermelon), almonds

CAT, I would be interested in doing it since I was thinking I can't do another challenge myself (does the leader have to be *in* the challenge? I'm still losing a few/maintaining for another 6lbs, but that's it). If so, let me know.

Got my TOM yesterday, so hoping the scale is friendly to me Saturday. Though, if it's not this weekend, if it makes up for it next, I'm okay with that too.

Shannon, I don't think it would be a problem. Just drop Dixie a note and confirm.

Busy, crazy couple of days around here. Haven't worked out in 2 days, so I made sure I did tonight. Walk/jog 3 miles. TOM is fast approaching and raising havoc. Weight is way up. I am feeling stuck in a rut. When I was 191, I got stuck there for a long time. Now I am 181-183 and feel stuck there. Why is it so difficult to get to that new decade??

I think sometimes our bodies just take awhile to adjust to its new size and fuel requirements before letting go of more weight. Kind of like it's resetting itself. Hang in there, keep watching what you're eating and working out and you'll get there!

Hey all, TGIF!!!

I think I'm going to at least be back down to 131 this weekend, I can just feel it. Even though TOM is on, I feel "thinner" if that makes sense.
Anywho, heading out for my walk/run. Have a great one all!

TGIF is right! Things have been way too intense at work lately - only been back for 4 days and I'm ready for another vacation!! On the bright side, have been sticking to plan really well since we got back. The only question is whether it'll be enough to undo the damage I did while I was gone. We'll see. Jeans are fitting looser, so I'm hopeful.

Wow, what a beautiful place! One of the pics reminded me of the woods up above Lake Tahoe.
