Not much has been going on. I'm still doing the C25K and trying to eat healthy. It seems like I have been soo busy lately its crazy. In a way I wish summer was over so it wouldn't be so packed with picnics and activities all the time. I missed weigh in yesterday. I did weigh myself just fogot to get on here. So now I only have one more freebie left!!! Have a great day everyone!!! |

I lost more!!! I'm so glad I'm losing steadily. It's helping me not get so frustrated. It's not much but it's the right direction. I can only ask for that. Mary, Thank you. You are determined too. My brain has been a bit scattered the last few days. Who knew this house hunting affair was so time consuming! LOL I totally got my deadlines mixed and didn't post my weight for this week...ooops! Anyhoo...I'm one of the ones that's seeing the weight crawl off...4.6 pounds in one month. I don't know if I got a little "spoiled" 2 1/2 years ago when I was 206 and losing 7-10 pounds a month the first few months. Then I plateaued for a long time, which got frustrating and disappointing. Eventually I stopped trying as much and put 10 pounds back on and hovered there for another year. It's still hard for me to do certain exercises, not because I don't want to, but because I'm nervous about injuries, especially with my knee, which I already did some damage to when I started exercising in 2007. I mean, geez, a week or so ago, I tried to do the modified pushups (the ones where you're on your knees, I can't do the regular ones, not yet, anyway) on my mat and I ended up with 2 black and blues on my kneecaps that night. So now anything I do with knees on the ground I do with a mat and a pillow! Anyway...I really wanted to be part of this challenge because it's given me something beyond myself/my goals to focus on. The fact that I have to come here and weigh in and that there's an exercise log as well is helping give me that added accountability. :) |
GAH! It's so hot here! My weatherbug icon says it's 97 degrees right now.
I'm about to leave to go do some laps in my friend's pool. Ridiculous heat shall not stop me! |
it is so hot lately makes me have to drag myself out of the house to do something...but i think they have air at gym

Congrats Blue! Lets keep up the good work. I'm pretty sure I'll be able to post a decent loss this week. I've probably sweat out a few pounds just today. We are trying not to use the a/c since DH is laid off. We had a high of 90 yesterday and today. Tomorrow is supposed to be even hotter.
Running is going well. I have become the person who is out running in 80* that I used to mock when I drove by with my A/C on high. I'm really loving it far more than I ever thought I would. Food is okay. I was able to pull enough greens from the garden today to have a little salad. I'm making notes for next year to plant more spinach and lettuce plants. The garden in thriving with this heat after the cool start we had. |
So I said I was going to do a 5 km walk/jog today but I got a bit sidetrack so that didn't happen.
Good reason to be sidetracked - My boyfriend (of over a year) and I had a mutual agreement to end things. I'm okay about it, I've been thinking about it for awhile and I know its the best thing for us to do. Tomorrow is my workout day, but I may try to go for that run in the morning before work - if I'm not too tired. And then weight lifting afterwards. |
My dog died today. He was only 2. I am in total shock. I just can't believe this happened. I am not a dog person, have always been a cat person until this little guy came into my life. He was so healthy and happy. We found him in the woods behind our home where he has roamed for the past two years with our other dog. It looks like he just collapsed. No signs of trauma.
Dgramie-So sorry to hear about your dh. I will continue to pray for you. Here's hoping tomorrow will be a better day. |

Mary that's awful!! I'm so sorry.
It was really hot here today... over 92 and humidish. My body bugg says I burned over 4000 calories today between walking to the pool, swimming, and walking to tri-practice (which was at the track today) and then walking home from there. Over 10 miles in total Thats crazy... and there is still 2 hours left in the day! Congrats to our biggest loser this week. Go Blue. |
Mary - :hug: I am so sorry for your loss.
I'm just trying to stay on top of things while we live in moving box land. Eating pretty well, very excited to get back to the gym next week!! If I can make it through the next ten days (moving, school and work deadlines), then it's time for a whole bunch of FUN things... so I have to just get through it all! |

it is so hot today i am not looking forward to workinging in this heat. i can barely get going as is. one bonus the gym is air conitioned so i'll be stopping by there after work. in the meantime, hope everyone stays cool today.
