Just checking in. I FINALLY got the 'drop' I've been expecting for the last 10 days so HOPEFULLY this will be a really good week for me weight-wise. My body, probably like everyone elses', has certain weights where it REALLY likes to hang out. Once I can get it past that number, I seem to drop 5-7 pounds reasonably fast then get stuck in the next spot for a couple of weeks. My body REALLY likes 191 (the range I've been in for 3 weeks!) but this morning I saw 190.0 so I should be in the 180's for sure at the next weigh in. FINALLY going in the right direction.

I'm kicking butt on exercise this week too. Yesterday was my personal best- 60 minutes in the gym on the Tredclimber working VERY hard and another 38 minutes of strength training at home doing the Chalene Extreme workout. 98 minutes in one day!

The hubs had a gain last week and I'm actually kind of glad. He loses so much easier than me that he thinks he doesn't have to do much to get good results. It was a good 'wake up call' for him that he can't just mindlessly make this happen- he's going to have to WORK for it! LOL! He still wants me to figure everything out for him and I'm happy to do it but I hope he'll soon find the initiative to learn it for himself as that's what will be required for the long-term. I just have to remind myself that success breds success. Once he starts making more headway, he'll be more self-motivated. Right now he's
"Doctor motivated".

Oh- and we both had our fasting cholesterol test this morning. I've been eating healthier for 9 months now so I'll be interested to see if my numbers come back better than last time. Several years ago I was borderline at 199.

Do you eat the squash just like pasta? I have never tried that, how is it?

:cp: Yay for you. I know you were dying to see that scale move! Way to work thru that plateau

I had a really bad day today. Wanting to eat everything in sight but didn't but I still made poor choices when I did allow myself to eat. Thankfully tom is almost done. I feel so tired this month and just have not done anything productive exercise wise or chore wise all week.

Off to take a two mile walk.

Have a good night.

Thanks MaryShady you Made my day :) I have had a rough one today no excercise but I ate under 1200. So depressed and deep in thought all day..I can't wait to dance with joy again...

I am hoping dgramie is ok also...

That is the only way I've ever eaten. I love it with sauce and a little nutritional yeast. I can eat a GIANT plate full if I want for under 300 calories.

I've done my runs the last few days around mid morning. I like the fact that my times are a little better and there don't seem to be as many bugs. I do not like the fact that I am bone tired all day and eat like a horse. When I was running in the evening I was able to keep my calories lower during the day and then I only had a few hours to fight the urge to eat. What to do? What to do?

practiceliving 06-10-2009 09:46 PM

Ugh, I am off track BADLY today. This is the first time in a while that I have been seriously OFF plan. :S

I better get back on plan in the morning or I will need a serious butt kicking!

Gekster 06-11-2009 12:37 AM

Today was great, first day I have actually gotten out of bed before 11am since classes ended almost 3 weeks ago. It went from being nice to almost depressing. But this morning I got up and exercised almost right away, then did some more in the afternoon. As much as I wanted a nap most of the day I fought it so I could get a good night's sleep tonight and continue to wake up early. I need to wake up at a decent time to actually feel motivated. Here's hoping I'm on the way to a new routine.

Hope you all are having a good week, seems pretty quiet lately..

Binders- Congrats! Yay on the loss. And as for the hubby, sometimes they need a reality check, it should be a good motivator for him.

Mary- coming your way

Zinke- I keep meaning to try this squash as pasta, but I always just end up chopping and roasting the squash on a whim.

Practiceliving- tomorrow is a new day. Try to put everything behind you and start fresh.

Morning Blue!!!

Well I finished Week 1 of C25K. I will be starting Week 2 tomorrow as long as there is no thunderstorms. I am really really scarred. I hope I will be able to complete it. Food has actually been pretty good. I haven't been eating as big of portions lately and I'm hoping that will help with my weighin on Monday. I guess we will see. Have a great day everyone!!!

practiceliving 06-11-2009 10:42 AM

Okay here's my plan-to-get-back-on-plan :)

Breakfast - Have a morning meeting, so I will pack a piece of fruit and grab a non-fat latte on the way in. (2-4pts total, depending on the fruit)

Lunch - mixed green salad, with chicken, rice and edamame leftover from last night (9pts)

Snack - fibre one bar (2pts)

Dinner - Homemade turkey burger, with steamed carrots and broccoli (under 10pts)

After dinner... either the gym or up to the high school to shoot hoops.

I'm good. Emily's bday is Sat. So swamped getting things ready, family starts getting here tomorrow so dunno when can post. Show up several lbs, hate it but I know it must be TOM since last Friday I was 227. I KNOW I didn't eat enough to gain, some days I may have eaten enough to maintain and not lose, but for sure not to gain. Uggh!!!! :tantrum:

:::breathing deeply::::

It will be fine. :)

Have a good OP day!!!
Selina

Hey there Blue Team!

I hope everyone is having a great night! Just thought I'd pop in and say Hi!

I've been pretty much OP most of the week here...until the evenings, and then I fall off the wagon a grab a snack. I try to make it a good one, but...the evenings are my weak spot so far.

Have a great night!

OH! And I got on the scale this morning :goodscale and I'm on the brink of being out of the 200's!......200.2 !
I'm keeping my fingers crossed I get the bump over the line soon!

~Suzie

:cheer3: :goodluck: everyone! :cheer3:

Wow... thats the last time I rely on the "new post"in my USER CP to get me back to my team. I didn't even realize a 3rd thread was going. Holy Moly I have some work to do catching up!

I did finish something I have been working on since last weekend. I made my self 5lb reward envelopes (actually made them, decorated, etc...I was aching to craft something!) and I printed out 12 pictures of reward stuff I want. The kicker - I let my boyfriend stuff them. I don't know what my prize will be each goal mark!!!!!! I'm so excited! Even turned down chili dogs to stay on task cuz I want in that 1st envelope!!!

Had to share... off to get caught up on personals, may be posting again shortly!

GO BOMBSHELLS!!!!!

Gekster 06-12-2009 02:01 AM

Nixmom, that is a completely awesome idea, to have someone else stuff them.. in any order.. I like it. I may just have to steal that. I would go crazy not knowing and it would totally be a push. Okay, yep, tomorrow I am jumping on this idea (after my workout of course ;)).

Jacque9999 06-12-2009 04:52 AM

Not getting on the scale for a week paid off....I didn't think about weight or pounds all week, I just did what I had to do...The juicing for 2 days helped to....I am 3 pounds from goal.

Sorry I've dissappeared this week! It's the last day of school today, so I've had a lot to do.
Thank you for the complements on my dress, too. It really means a lot! http://i572.photobucket.com/albums/s...hanksEmote.gif
