Hi All
QOTD: What is a healthy food/food items that you can not live without?

Red Seedless grapes, I'm addicted to them and keep them ready to eat in a bowl in the frig. My whole family snacks out of it.

Yesterday I overdid it in my walk, almost 1/2 mile extra and today I'm suffering, my plantar faciatis has flaired and I am trying to stretch it and keep it iced but still hurts bad. No walk for me today. but I did do a little weeding in the garden.
I hope everyone has a great weekend.

I have become addicted to Cascadian Farms Fiber bars lately. Other things I love are Cliff mini bars, Cliff Organic Nectar bars and Luna Bars. :)

Woo Hoo.... I have hit an 8 year low, got on the scale this AM and I was 145.8. Just hope it sticks for my "official" WI on Monday. It feels soooo good to be on a regular schedule again and seeing the scales move.

With Mack being gone the next 10 days I hope to get LOTS of little projects done. It's so weird... he leaves for work everyday and is gone all day but yesterday when I got home from taking him to the airport the house seemed so empty..... that's REALLY hard to do with five dogs and a cat.

Enjoy what's left of the weekend, I'm off to Lowes this morning for paint and staples for the the gun. I'm repainting and putting new fabric on the bar stools today.

Ack, only lost .4 lbs this week... yeah, it's something but not at all what I was looking for. Hoping it's just due to the TOM bloat and things get better next week.

mtiger 06-06-2009 02:28 PM

Went out with people from work last night. Did WAY too much drinking. Eating was okay. People were having fun buying me drinks and getting me well...drunk. Hope I wasn't too obnoxious. Lost 1.5 pounds today. So, should I try that everyday????

This weekend is wanting me to get off plan so much. I had to go to Golden Corral last night, fried pork chops today and mexican tomorrow. Grrr. But I have persevered and staying within points. ^_^

QOTD - Since you have begun to lose weight, have you noticed and change in the things you like to do for recreation?

I know I have. Before, whenever I'd have any spare time I be reading or crocheting or watching movies. I could sit still for hours. Now even if I do sit down to read, I'm jumping up every 15 minutes or so. I actually enjoy outside activities like tennis and frisbee. For my vacation this year I am spending a week walking across Scotland. Two years ago that would have been completely unimaginable!

The Scotland trip sounds awesome!!!

QOTD: I've always loved being outside and pretty much do the same things as always.

Tonight I am being forced to go to a buffet but I have a plan! I am eating lower point today yet very healthy and I am saving my weekly points up for this. I will have a healthy snack beforehand. I will eat my first plate slowly which will be a salad with my own salad dressing. I found the points values of the other sort of foods online and I will just get one scoopful. I know pretty much what I will want to eat, so I figure, I will be set. I will be successful!

Sounds like you have a great plan!!!

For me it is Arnold Sandwhich Thins I love them and do not think I will ever use bread for a sandwhich again. Also I love the Skinny Cow ice cream treats.

I switched to those Sandwich thins too, from WW bagels. I can't live without my salad greens, veggies and fruits. Also keep EAS AdvantEDGE carb control Chocolate Fudge drinks for when I want something after a workout or just a chocolate snack. Also Cocoa roasted almonds and the 100 calorie bags of walnuts & almonds.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend. TOM came a week early for me, so not sure how WI will be Monday,:crossed: I've been under a lot of stress, marriage stuff which sucks but we're working it out, but Friday just wasn't a good day and today I've just been exhausted from the adreneline rush from yesterday and haven't done anythign exercise related. Eating has been so so too. Atleast I'm drinking my water. :) Well my Redwings will be on here in a bit so I'll talk to you all tomorrow.

mtiger 06-06-2009 07:42 PM

Okay, I'm just calling out what I see here. I just posted my workout on the exercise thread. There are lots of people signed up there and quite a few dedicated exercisers. Let's try to get everyone doing some type of workout and posting results over there. We want to win again, don't we?? Gotta get those workouts in. Come on girls. :carrot:

Water. If I don't get my water I actually start craving it. And I, like so many others, love my veggies.

Hi All,
Today I weighed at 219, below 220 for the first time in a lot of years. I don't know if I'll make my goal of being under 200 by my birthday, but deffinatly before DS gets back (He's in the Army back the end of Sept after being deployed for a year) I haven't been doing much the last 2 days, I gave my foot some time to rest up, I think I'll be back walking tomorrow but I'm going to take it easier, not going to try for over 2 miles for a week. The last time I did this and kept pushing I had to have physical therapy. DD is wanting to go walking with me, but she keeps wanting to run, it stinks that an 8yo can outrun me.

CruiseCat: Way to go on the low:carrot:

RangerChic: At least you had a loss, and you've done terrific.

MTiger: I plan on walking tomorrow, keep reminding me.

Everyone have a great Week
BetteK
