Weee at being a runner up!

QOTD: what benefits has your weight loss brought you so far?

Increased self esteem, control over my binging/emotional eating.

I'm planning to exercise tonight. ^_^

I can't believe I forgot to post my weight yesterday. UGH, Such a dork

mtiger 06-02-2009 09:09 PM

Cruise- Is it possible for you to post a link to the new thread when you start one? Just for dummies like me who don't know a new one has started. Thanks for taking this over for the Red Rockets.

Mommy- Guess what? My birthday is June 14th, right after yours. Happy birthday, a little early. Don't forget to put out your flag on mine (flag day).

Ranger- Your progress just amazes me. You have done awesome.

Congrats to the Biggest Losers. Good Job!!!

QOTD: what benefits has your weight loss brought you so far?
Well....... I love clothes now. I will never wear stretch knit, elastic waistband pants, ever again in my life. I am stronger than I ever gave myself credit for. I am flirty again, yes FLIRTY!! And it's fun. I Like what I see in the mirror, until I take my clothes off. There are so many benefits I can't name them all.

Now, if i could just make some progress on this last 45 pounds. That would make me a truly happy person.

Hi All,
Congrats to Collegemom for being Biggest Loser, also to our runnerups hungery4achange and Daimere.

QOTD: what benefits has your weight loss brought you so far?
I have a measurable benefit, about 4 months ago my dr told me that if my fasting blood surgar was over 120 the next time he tested me then he would diagnose me with diabetes, since I started working on my weight and diet my FBS has dropped to where it is around 105 when I check it every morning. I'm afraid that with my family history diabetes is probibly in my future, I just want it in the far future instead of the near future.

Today I bought some pepper plants for a mildly hot pepper and some more eggplant plants. I'm running out of room for them in my garden, I need to stay away from garden stores. But I do have some flower beds that are in need of plants, and I do want toplant some herbs, hmmmmm, so much for the salvias. I was rainy today so I didn't get much done outside, but the weeds are coming back so tomorrow I garden.
We were just watching 2 deer in the setaside field west of the house, they were pretty close to the buildings.

Congrats to the losers!

I'm trying to get more motivated with my exercise. I am trying to wake up earlier to do it but it is so hard! The baby just got 3 teeth out of nowhere yesterday and has been terribly fussy for the past week...I don't blame him! I can't believe he got his two top ones and only one bottom. My older son got his bottom first and then his top by the time he was 7 months. The baby is a bit over 8 months now. He is proving to be very different than his big brother! ;)

Just finished up with the treadmill. That's exercise two days in a row. Shamefully, I haven't done that in ever so long, but here's to a new trend for me.

Congrats to our Red Rockets : Collegemom for being Biggest Loser, and also to our runnerups hungery4achange and Daimere.

QOTD:
I'm hoping to finally be able to keep up with my very active family.

ME- I have been riding my new bike, 3 days in a row now... It's nice to get moving but doesn't have to be a crazy workout either. =)

Great job ladies and keep up the work!!!!

Bette K - no veggies yet, but I was thinking of starting one. This is my first summer with my own yard. For now I am doing flowers and maintiance.

 girls!

OMG today has been.....one hassle after another. It comes in threes, ya know? First, my phone is totally kaput so I'm without a cellphone. Then, after I TOLD HER that I would be picking up the check, the old realtor secretary put my deposit check in the freakin mail. Finally, I had to reinstall my whole Windows operating system. Which wouldn't have been so bad if the damn Dell people had just told me in the first place that was what I needed to do instead of dragging it on for over two weeks! :censored:

So sorry I haven't been around. Hopefully, this is the end of the computer (brandfreakinnew!) drama.

It's always something with me, isn't it?

QOTD:
The best benifit so far is the improvement in my energy level! I can run up and down the stairs and I'm fine.

Today I actually got a two mile walk in before work. I never get up early - but no changes on the scale yet - I'll keep trying!

Good morning Red Rockets!! Hope everyone is having a wonderful Wednesday. It has been a long week but at least it is half way over. I tell you this summer has gotten off to a very busy start, summer is usually a slower time for me workwise but no such luck this year.

I must say that I really enjoy this thread everyone is positive and inspirational. Seems like no matter how hard I try sometimes I still fall short of my goals but I am determined to stay as close on plan as I can and to continue to exercise as much as I can. I am dreading weigh in this weekend due to TOM knocking on the door but who knows maybe it will be better than I think. i am going to increase my water intake and get in some more exercise and stay away from the sodium, because I did not last night and I already feel the effects. Anyway hope everyone has a great day!!

Mindy- early happy birthday to you too. Hope that it is a good one and thanks for the reminder about the flag it always sneaks up on me.

Hello everyone. I wish it was Thursday today, because I'm off Sat through Monday and can't wait for the time off! :)
Anyway, I just ate my organic oatmeal and drank my skim milk so I'll be doing my workout in about 30 minutes. I love Jillian's workouts, but I'm thinking of doing a Biggest Loser one to change things up a bit and I could use that right now.

RangerChic 06-03-2009 10:44 AM

Whew! Just did the BL BootCamp workout and damn was that a kicker! Haven't done it in awhile, so nice to know it still kicks my butt. :p

mtiger 06-03-2009 09:07 PM

Shannon- You and I do the same DVD's. Do you have Jillian's kickboxing DVD. It's good, lots of jumping, but really good. I am feeling lazy or stressed out and tired tonight. Must force myself to do something.

5th grade recognition is behind me, so I can relax about that. Now I have 2.5 hours with children tomorrow, records and final room clean up and I'm outta there. :carrot: It has certainly been a stressful year.

Don't know if TOM will come on time. things have gotten so strange lately. Guess I'll know soon enough.

No, but I want that one. Been bidding on them on ebay, but have yet to win an auction. Soon though hopefully.
