KIM - CONGRATS ON ONEDERLAND ... I'm so jealous, I always eems to be a couple pounds behind you. I am hoping for 199.8 by Wednesday's WI for me. I really want to see that "1" at the front for a change.:D

Hiya, Bluesers! TGIF!

Jennifer - Congrats on 17 days OP! :carrot:
Amy - It's so good to hear from you. We were worried. Around here, when someone quits posting it usually means they are struggling. We don't want to lose you.
Kim - Congrats on Onederland!:woohoo:

Well, I'm with Jennifer at 17 days OP. However, my scales still aren't very impressed with my committment. I don't believe I've ever eaten this healthy in my life....lots of fresh veggies and fruit, whole grains, lean meats, healthy fats in moderation......no refined sugars...no sneaky milk chocolate candy bars or Chikfil-A coffee caramel milkshakes and waffle fries. However, the scales haven't moved for the last 12 days. Winging the calorie counts is obviously not working very well for me. I feel hunger when it's time to eat, but I really don't know how many calories I'm consuming. Today, I'm back to calorie counting every single bite. It is very possible that I'm overeating on the healthy stuff.:dizzy:

Hope everyone has a great on-plan day!

Rhonda - Isn't it Anna's signature that says "Eating the best food in the worst portions." This is my Dad. Everytime you say something about what he is eating, you get from him that it is a good food, and the next words out of my mouth are in the right portion size. I applaud you though for the fabulous improvement in your eating habits. I still have too many processed things in my diet. Something for me to work on, huh!

Nori71 07-25-2008 01:58 PM

Congrats, Kim!!!! It must feel wonderful!!

I agree, Friday's are wonderful, and payday Fridays are even better. It's not one today though!

Rhonda - I know how you feel. I've logged my food diligently each day this week and not lost a dang oz! I have been TERRIBLE with exercise for 3 weeks now with all my traveling and working, so this doesn't really shock me. Life is back to normal starting tomorrow. I really do not know how mothers working full time outside the home manage it all. I couldn't do it regularly. This will make payday next pay period very nice though. But not worth it, IMO. My lack of exercise makes my back hurt also. I am ashamed at how I've not been able to fit exercise in. I'm so hitting the gym for 2 hours in the morning!!! Cannot wait.

I totally just turned down a chocolate cupcake that was wandering around the office. No thank you, Mr. Cupcake, for I had two delicious organic dates after lunch and have satisfied my sweet tooth. Besides, who knows WHAT in the heck is in you. And ... someone could have sneezed on you earlier. Ew.

:D

Jaime: I love that you're addressing the cupcake. Totally cracking me up!

Friday seems to be a big pizza night for many families. It is here. So here is my pizza dough recipe:

1 1/2 c unbleached white flour
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 cup hot, but not boiling water
1 packet or 2 1/4 tsp yeast
1/2 tsp salt
half pinch of sugar
2 tbsp oil

mix it all in a bowl, minus 1/2 the oil. knead for five minutes. roll into ball and cover with rest of oil. wet and wring a dishtowel. cover and let rise in warm place (in the winter, I set my oven to 200 and sit it on the vent burner). this all can be done in the bread machine in about 3 minutes.

changes that I make: for 1/4 c white flour, sub 1/4 c wheat bran or almond meal; for 1/4 c ww flour, substitute 1/4 c ground flax seed; add garlic powder, oregano and whatever makes me happy that day

to any commercial sauce: steam some veggies; everything works better than broccoli-nothing works better than the squash family, though avocado is not bad. put in blender. add to sauce.

Im leaving to go camping in a couple hours. I'll be gone for a week. See ya when I get back, have a great week!

vixjean 07-26-2008 08:01 AM

Kelly - what's the status on the elliptical? I am always SO impressed with your little 5k guys - You go girl!

Rhonda - very inspired by all your working out and eating change, I need to jump on my game again. Let me ask you, What made you jump back OP?

Momof4Girls - have an AWESOME TIME camping. I used to love going with my family as a kid.

Jamie - I hate office food, they get me about once a week still. I have got MUCH BETTER.

Nori - I am back on track today too! We can do it!

Anna - Pizza sounds AWESOME, I love squash stuff!

Kim - WOW CONGRATS ON ONDERLAND!http://dl5.glitter-graphics.net/pub/...jh6hfx5lpo.gif

Amy - Good to see you around! I love you getting drunk, I can only imagine!

Me - Weight is up a little less than 2 lbs, I have no more freebies left, so I will have to post a gain this week, I think that will be my first one this round, so hopefully no one hates me. I am going back on plan today, not really because I feel like it, but more because I have to. I don't need all sorts of lbs creeping back up on me.

vixjean 07-26-2008 08:33 AM

My weight is not as bad as I thought, I just got a 160.9 reading, which is still a small gain, but I thought I was over 161, or 162. Yeah for me!
Not posting yet, waiting for tomorrow.

Ditto for me (well, with much higher numbers!). I think if I wait till tomorrow, I might be able to just squeak out a .5-pound loss for the week. Nothing like cutting it close!

Hi everyone! I am officially on vacation!!!!!!!!!! Ahhhhh, it feels good to relax! Dh is in Cooperstown w/ friends for the weekend doing baseball stuff. This is the first year I haven't gone, but we have so many things going on this summer, I decided to stay home--which is fine w/ me by the way. I am going to hang out w/ friends, relax, read, spoil the dogs, and of course eat healthy and work out!

GirlyGirlSebas 07-26-2008 10:56 AM

Since I started my journey in November of 2006, I've never really been 100% off-plan. However, I do have stronger and more committed times. Last year, I lost 30 pounds and have managed to maintain that loss. This year, I've not really accomplished much in the weight loss department.
I've recently gone through a bout of depression and went back on anti-depressants which have helped my mindset tremendously. We went to Florida on the weekend of the 4th and I wanted nice clothes to wear for the trip. Well, there's nothing quite like a dressing room mirror and too tight clothes to convince you to get back on-plan. My birthday was on July 14th and I turned 44. I realized that the years are going by quickly. I've battled a weight problem since puberty. I've decided that it's time to win this battle and do everything I can to ensure a healthy, active and enjoyable rest-of-my-life.

I hope everyone has a great on-plan day!
