QOTD: When you reach your goal, what do you want to do to celebrate?
I want to say bungee jump, sky diving or para sailing. In reality, probably nothing just due to finances. Quote:
As for neighboring pets, I would be happy if the barn cats next door would quit crapping under the kids swing set. They play in that sand all summer long and I am tired of scooping it up. Not to mention it is just sick. |

Of course, I compliment him on all sorts of stuff too. I think talking to each other this way is so nice and maybe reminds us not to take for granted what we have. I can't believe your husband offers no nice comments after losing 97 pounds! That seems really strange and suspicious to me. I'd flat out ask him why. |
Whew, we are a chatty bunch!
I fell off the wagon this weekend, and I feel like it then went in reverse and ran me over a couple times :dizzy: I had a ton of crap to eat at the bachelorette party yesterday, and I'm still very sore from my super long walk on Saturday morning. I feel like I was running non-stop all weekend, and now I need a weekend to recuperate from my weekend! :p I would say I'm glad this coming weekend is a long weekend, but we'll be driving down to Va Beach to visit my family, so it will still be tiring. I got up at about 2:30 this morning to pee, and I decided to not get up early to exercise. I wanted that extra half hour of sleep more than I wanted to work out. Well, as if the little brat could read my mind, Bean woke me up barking at 4:30, so I got up and exercised anyway :dizzy: I'm trying to cut back on carbs for the next few days to get my cravings back in check from the crazy food weekend. I usually step in the scale every morning, but I haven't weighed myself in 2 days for fear of what that little digital number will read. We'll see what the scale holds tomorrow... |
;) Thought for the day:
Really be there for another "Listening is a magnetic and strange thing, a creative force. You can see that when you think how the friends that really listen to us are the ones we move toward, and we want to sit in their radius as though it did us good, like ultraviolet rays." -- Brenda Ueland How well do we communicate with others? Often, when we are interacting with others, our attention in both speaking and listening is focused on meeting our own needs. Our communication skills improve when we can open to be aware of the needs of the other person. When we listen, we can release the filters that serve our own needs for security and receive the message with our compassionate heart. And when we speak, we can choose words that the listener is able to receive. True communication happens when we harmonize with the other individual. "So when you are listening to somebody, completely, attentively, then you are listening not only to the words, but also to the feeling of what is being conveyed, to the whole of it, not part of it." -- Jiddu Krishnamurti "The first duty of love is to listen." -- Paul Tillich |
Hi everyone! I am getting myself back on track today. I didn't have the best weekend, but it could have been a lot worse.
Hope everyone has a great day! |
OK - I am just going to have to ask him if he needs glasses (which considering he is a Paramedic and gets a physical every year including hearing [yeah right] and eye test is an outragous question). You are all right, after 97 lbs, he should say something more than the occasional "nice outfit". I know I am going to get the "I didn't want you to think I didn't like you the way your were" from him, but maybe he will figure it out. I'll start with the gentle nudge first.
I just thought of something. I am making a little mini goal of getting to 202 lbs, I have been stressing over Onederland, that I need this mini goal. And what is the 106 lbs mean ... it means I have lost 2 of my DS - that will be just too cool!. He can actually wrap his legs around my waist when I pick him up, which I don't think he every could. |
hey everyone -
I guess i'm not alone in having a rough weekend - or week in my case. I crapped out on exercising, food was mostly off plan, and i'm so stressed i missed my TOM (no, it's not "anything else") the scale is up from my WI earlier this week, so unless i can lose 5lbs (and it is bloat, thank goodness) I'm probably going to take a freebie this coming week. in the meantime, i'm getting back on the horse today, i'm about to go outside and do my run, i'm going to cut my carbs for the next week or so, and pray i can keep back on track. it's always stress that does me in. :( |
Hey Chicas!
I have been working on the badge log this morning and I'm noticing a lot of people giving up or not logging exercise minutes. So I want to make a personal challenge to everyone on the blue team since this weeks beach hop is pretty manageable. I personally challenge you all to not only make the minimum minutes to get to Monaco but to shoot for some of those sweet incentives :D This weekend is Memorial Day weekend and out of all the weekends to officially kick off the outdoor weather, we need to exercise hard this week. I can't say I don't want to see gains this week cause life happens, but I definitely don't want to see gains cause of lack of exercise. We all need to move and move more if we are going to overcome holiday weekend weight gain! |
Hi everyone. I haven't had a good start to the week or over weekend. It was a friend's birthday so we went out all night, food, drink, cake etc. Saturday I waited around for the same friend to come as we were going to some hot springs. I wanted to go for a run but I knew she would be coming at any time. I did 30 mins of the Jillian's DVd and some dancing, but I didn't want to do it long as I didn't want to be sweating when she came. Then she didn't turn up! I was very annoyed. It was such a waste of a day. So I went out to a party and was drinking more and ate really bad. This morning I set my alarm to get up early. It didn't go off, so I didn't do any exercise this morning. Anyway...Back on track now, I will exercise hard tonight and tomorrow morning. I hope everything is going well for everyone else!
I haven't thought of a treat for myself when I meet my gaol. I would probably treat myself to a warbrobe update. I have always hated shopping but maybe that has been because of my size. Chellez - Thank you for the Badge! And you do such an amazing job on this board. I really appreciate all the work you put in! |
Someone pass me the ibuprofen. My Mom and grandma got here Saturday night. I'd spent all day deep cleaning, and now my house looks like a hurricane hit it. Yesterday we bought a storage shed from Home Depot, we've got the floors and walls up, and the roof trusses together, but then we discovered that the roof beam was upside down, so we have to take it apart and redo it this afternoon. We worked on it about 6 hours yesterday. That's the only exercise I got, but I feel like I've been thru bootcamp. I managed to crawl out of bed and do another 5K this morning.

The following people need to PM me their cabana boys for last week!
* Nori * Maria * Elizabeth * Dee * Dora :congrat: ladies! |
*cry*
No cabana boy this week, so who is going to mix my drinks, shake out my towel, and feed me grapes? Drat! |
Happy Monday!
Sonja - You and I have the same thoughts about being a vampire. I always thought "Oh it'd be cool... hrm. I think I'll wait until I'm down to a slimmer size before searching out Lestat..." ;) When I reach my goal... I will shamelessly go shopping for an entirely new wardrobe. In fact, this process may take days on end of trying on everything in a store... in many, many stores. Chellez - I'm actually going to be trying for my first cabana boy this week. (I think I can, I think I can...) The miles seem manageable. We also have that Bi-monthly 3FC 5K to run (or walk or bike) this coming weekend. |
