Amazon Bob Shirt below http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/...bL._AA280_.jpg |
Yeah, the I love bob shirt needs to be blue! Hello!
My friend Danielle who some of you know as sugar n spice is going to see Bob tomorrow at his book signing! So jealous!! |
Did you guys know Jackie Warner has an exercise video out? I just went to do my morning workout and saw there is a section for her in the on demand, with three 20 minute workouts! I checked amazon and sure enough, there it is. I'm going right now to try the lower body workout on demand, I love trying it all for free :) I would like to get the video as well, it goes on my reward list for 20%.

I tried Jackie's lower body workout and am very disappointed. She doesn't cue at all, even the trainers behind her were jerking to a stop in the middle of movements to keep up with her. She doesn't keep with them or look at them at all, just says "okay, and now squats" and she starts that second, and everyone is stopping mid-movement to switch :dizzy: The warm up was just a series of basic squats and lunges, which to me didn't work because my knees need to warm up a bit before going into all that. Then the workout started with her coaching one trainer (thus the 1on1 theme) but she was just commanding her which moves to do, and again basic squats and lunges. If you have knee problems or other issues and can't do squats/lunges, then you can't do any of this workout, at least the lower body. I got bored and my legs still felt tight and cold, so I switched to the new Kathy Smith lower body workout and really liked that one! It's from her Lift Weight to Lose Weight DVD which I owned years ago and thought was torturous hard, but I kept right up and loved it this time...shows how far I have come.
Going to erase Jackie's workout from my reward list....I expect so much more from her! This seemed like it was just sloppily thrown together last minute, and I bet they are hoping with the WORKOUT show label across the top of the case, and her picture, it will sell. I don't think they put any quality into it, and that's a shame. Makes me not want to try her clothing line either. |

:congrat: to Andi on 30 lbs, that's awesome.
I took my son to preschool this AM and his teacher says "are you going with us?" real quiet, like trying to hide from my son...of course, I left his backpack in the van last night and didn't check what was in it, and apparently there is some surprise trip today and I had no clue what she was talking about. She let him in and came back and told me the time, but I feel like a bad mommy getting caught not checking his backpack. She'll know anyway since the paper is still in there I guess :( Hubby is sleeping (drove all night) so it's just me feeling horrible and beating myself up, even though I know it's stupid to get upset...I do check the backpack daily, just yesterday we left it in the van and there usually is nothing but coloring sheets so I didn't bother to go back after it. I'm also worrying because I put him in shorts even though it's only 48 degress this AM, but it will be over 70 by the time I would get him at noon, and over 80 by end of the day, so I went ahead and dressed him for the later weather...now I am worrying he'll be outside walking in shorts if it doesn't heat up some by noon, I can just bring pants if it is still chilly I guess. Just feeling like a horrible, rotten, out of touch, bad mommy today :( |
Good morning, Biggest Losers! Happy Friday!
Today, the scales smiled for me....I've lost the 2.2 pounds I was showing as a gain on Monday. :carrot: After that great start to my day, I've decided to change my offcial weigh-in day from Monday's to Friday's. I finally broke down and scheduled a doctor's appointment. Unfortunately, I think this cold/alllergy/sinus thing I've been battling has turned into a sinus infection. I can't keep trying to medicate myself with this crappy OTC stuff as they aren't working well and they are messing with my head. :dizzy: As a part of my new money saving journey, I categorized my pantry and planned menus for the next two weeks. Then, I went grocery shopping. I wouldn't let Hubby go as he tends to buy a lot of impulse items that aren't on the list. I spent at least an hour in the store...comparison shopping for the best deals....and, spent $140 for a family of four! I think that's pretty amazing. Of course, we'll have to make at least one grocery run a week for milk, bread, etc, but I think we'll save quite a bit. Hubby tends to run to the store for dinner items at least 3 times a week. With gas for a round trip of an hour and with picking up unnecessary items with each trip, the cost gets kinda crazy. If we can stick with this budget thing, I just might have the money to do some landscaping of the front flowerbed this fall. Hope everyone has a great on-plan day. |
Purple... I'm sorry. Being a Mommy is very tough sometimes. I know its tough, but try to keep your prospective...this is only one trip out of many trips he'll have throughout his school years. You have many more opportunities to make up for this one. Plus, I'm sure he knows how much Mommy loves him.

This is why their trips are usually on the monthly calendar, so since it wasn't on there I had no clue about it...figures, the one night I slack and don't open that backpack, it has something important in it. |
Oh, Purple, mother guilt is horrible. Meara started seizing after I weaned. In no way related, but I feel like crap.
Anyone else enjoy last night's earthquake? |

Just wanted to say Good Morning Challengers! We are running around late as usual this morning. Story of my life I swear, always seems to happen trying to get myself and 2 girls up and going. Especially when one of them is a teenager! I hope everyone has a fantastic day!! Be good to you, you deserve it!

Caitbeans - Happy Birthday!
Theresa - You are not going to beat yourself up over this! You're a good mommy who had one off night. Anna - Are you and Meara still hanging in there? I hope you didn't get too shaken up by the earthquake. Rhonda - I'm feeling a budget crisis of my own, I keep trying to explain to DH that the food budet is the only place where there is any "give" but he's not understanding my point. Luckily beans are very SBD friendly as well as cheap. I've made up a partial menu and divided it up by cost per meal. The cheaper meals will be repeated often, the expensive ones will be repeated less frequently. I'm trying to only include meals that are SBD compliant. Of course growing some of my own veggies will help a lot this summer. The "Bob" shirt is boring. |
