Week One Can you believe it? You've successfully made it through your first week of the challenge and things are rolling along beautifully. (Although I wasn't here to witness a lot of it! :dizzy:) I can tell the exercise challenge is moving along well and everyone is having a great time! Things to Remember for Week Two: I was reading in a book called "Your Best Life Now" that there is a mountain hiking resort that is designed to help build team morale by climbing a mountain together. Everyone starts out excited and ready to go and they start their journey together. As they make it to the halfway point, there's a restaurant that's built as a resting place. In most cases, only half of the people that start in a group end up making it to the summit. This is not because of the difficulty of the hike, but because the other half of the hikers think that halfway is "good enough." What I really want you to take from this is that going halfway in diet and exercise is not "good enough." You are a much better person to settle for less than you really are. With that, go into Week Two knowing that you are going to finish all twelve weeks of this challenge. Not only that, but you will come out of it as a stronger and healthier person. Trust in yourself that you can look back on this experience and can see your accomplishments! :D |

Week Two Results
Week Two
Well its week two and this is usually the point where everyone is really getting to know everyone else and things are flowing nicely. There is however a slight problem... some people are STILL not participating in the chat threads! Things to Remember for Week Three: COMMUNICATION IS EVERYTHING!! We all understand that you have busy lives outside of this challenge, but the reason that people sign up for the challenge is because they need the support from others trying to battle against weight loss. If you signed up just to post a number every week and get a title, you have really missed the whole purpose of the challenge. While the team threads are still 40 plus pages, no one is saying you have to go back and read every little thing about each person. All that the leaders are asking is that everyone checks in at least once or twice a week. It takes roughly two to five minutes to ask how the team is doing, give everyone an update about you and wish them good luck. Really simple people... so let's try it! Don't get me wrong, some of you have done an amazing job keeping up with the chat threads. From what I've observed in the past challenges, people that talk more in the chats usually lose more in real life. :D |

The Blue Team had a little harder of a time this week with some gains and stalls but we are going to mush on through week 3! Most people when overweight become very focused on the negative things they think about themselves, and neglect the underlying positives. Sorry about the delay in having these posted - our internet has been giving me troubles today! UGH! Week One Weight: 12,083.6 lbs Week Two Weigh In: 12,018.0 lbs Week Two Weight Loss: 65.8 lbs Week Two Weight Loss Percentage: 0.54 % :carrot: Week Two Black Team Biggest Loser: ChickiChickiBangBang - 5lb loss - 3.03% loss!! CONGRATS!!!! Way to go Black Team!! Apparently we had 3 ladies drop out this week (their weigh-ins are no longer in the weigh-in thread :shrug:) but, they'll still be in the weigh-in tabulations until their freebies are used up and we have 4 others who are one missed weigh-in away from no longer having their results tabulated with the Black Teams. It's kind of discouraging to see that with the challenge JUST starting. But, for the ladies who are left, you are ROCKING!!! Keep it up girls!!! Week Three
Well everyone, if you are still in the challenge you can give yourself a big pat on the back... You've made it through the first quarter of the challenge! Can you believe it? Things to Remember for Week Four: Last week I talked a little about how communication with your team is a great key to success. Since I've been having internet issues and haven't been able to get online, it got me thinking. What would I do without the support of my team and the challenge to guide me. Unfortunately, this is a question we must all face at some point in our journey. Take this week to reflect on how things went for you when you couldn't make it to the boards to "talk it out." Try to find the things that cause your plans to slip and take active measures to write down ways you can fix them. :D |

Red team Results!! Well TOM took residence on our team this week, or as we so begrudgingly have referred to as DOT! But I think we still did pretty fantastic! We also cut some of what was weighing us down (BL term! LOL) by losing 7 members of our team. Red Team Week 5
We shucked off a couple more that were holding us back! I'm a little concerned with non posters weighing in with big gains for our team. I do hope they realize its not the gain that is unfair, but the fact that they arent supporting their team AND posting a gain. Hopefully next week that will turn around. All in all I think the Red team did a fantastic job! Those of us on the REAL Red team (thats what I'm calling those of us who use this challenge as its supposed to be used for support and not a weigh in post) are doing FANTASTIC!!! I'm so proud of our real team! That's pretty good considering that the past couple of weeks we lost handfuls at a time. I just have to second what Hun.e.B said about the non-posters posting gains on the weigh-in thread. |

Okay team, we unloaded 3 more this week. More importantly we had alot of gains this week, 8 to be exact. Now, I'll be the first to tell everyone that its nothing but a number on the scale, because thats the truth...scales are for fish! But, in this challenge gains are usually indicative of struggling. When struggling is going on, its my opinion that the best thing you can do is reconnect with your support system. Since its right at the halfway point, perhaps we all need to get acquainted with our team again so we remember what this fight is for! Time to renew those goals and your commitment! Okay, so here are the results!
