Good afternoon everyone! Wow, I need to catch up on all these posts.
I hope everyone sticks to their plan today, no matter what team you're on! |
Good Morning BLUE TEAM and everyone!!!!!
I'll get my pictures up today and all that other stuff we need! I'm so excited - gah, wonder what I'd be like if I were on the TV version! LOL!!! |
How on earth do any of you with toddler age kids manage to work out at home? It took me nearly an hour to get a 40 minute workout done there were so many interruptions. Usually I can get them interested in a game on the computer but it didn't work today. We only have one tv and I am either using that with a video or watching something while I walk on the treadmill. I even tried to put in a movie for them thinking I could just listen to my mp3 while they watched but they were far more interested in jumping around like lunatics.
But I did get 10 minutes of a video done. 20 minutes on the treadmill and 10 minutes of some light weights. I am going to pick up some 5 and 10 pounds dumbbells next time I get to town. I really need to get my eating under control. DH is very picky so I usually end up making crap that he will eat and a separate meal for myself. I am about sick of it and am starting to think he can eat peanut butter sandwiches on nights he doesn't like what I am cooking. I also think starting tomorrow I will start getting up at 6 to do a video and/or weights. I tried walking on the treadmill early in the morning but it was waking the kids up. I need a bigger house. I am so excited to be a part of this challenge. :) |
zinkemomx2--My kids are now 4 and almost 6, and they have learned that when mommy starts exercising they have to wait until later if they need something. When they were smaller I did Walk Away the Pounds videos and they loved to do them with me...my son has been doing them since he was walking! It depends how young yours are, butI just tell my kids mommy is going to exercise and I won't be able to stop for awhile, so is there anything you need? If they need me in between I just say they have to wait. Unless an emergency of course, but usually it's just small things like they want a different DVD turned on or want me to help them with a puzzle...that can wait, my exercise time is just as important. BUT, I do the majority of my exercise after they are in bed. Every night they go in their rooms for "play time" for an hour, then I go in and read them a story and tuck them in, turn out the light. I exercise during that play time hour, they aren't allowed out of their rooms.
We also run/walk circles around the house. We like to chase each other, and play the "no passing" game where everyone tries to stay in front, while the others try to pass. It is really fun and an awesome workout for us all. I also go to a local park that has a big field around the play area, and I walk while they play. I might never keep up with this thread...but I will try my best :D |
OMG!!!! Been so busy, Tatiana let me know last night by text what teams we were on but I just now got to read the last 4 pages on the OLD chat thread!! Then found this one and there are 6 pages???!!! OMG, how will I keep up? I probably won't be memorizing everyone's first names, and will use the beginning of your name on here, etc. Personals will be rare but will happen. I love doing them AND reading them.
I'm VERRRRY excited that I'm on BLUE team again!!!! GOOOOO BLUEZERS!!!!! Yay!!!! :cb: :jig: :carrot: I have to go read all 6 pages on this thread right now. Otherwise the kids will start crawling all over me and pulling me off here! BRB!!!! |
This is my first TBL challenge and I'm happy to be on the BLACK team!!
I am glad there is one thread for all the teams. It's great to see so many familiar faces. :) Thank you to Chellez for setting this up and being the Blue team leader, LondonJulz for leading my team, and Hun.e.B for leading the red team. My goal for the end of this challenge is to be 163 and be overweight. Good luck everybody!! |
Good morning Fellow Losers!
I woke up with a sore throat this morning. It shouldn't affect me too much because it's my rest day today. Hopefully, I feel better by tomorrow. I'm supposed to take the kids to Legoland which will mean lots of walking! zinkemomx2-- I've usually worked out early in the morning before dh left for work so that he could watch the kids. Now that my kids are 10, 8, 6, and 3, I can put the older ones in charge of the younger ones and work out anytime. But there are still days where my workout is interrupted 5 times. I hope everyone has a great op day. |
They are 3 year old twins. They have recently discovered the PBS kids website but some of the games are a little old for them and they get frustrated. I tried putting in their Winnie the Pooh game and that didn't go over well. I'm gonna try and do the early morning workout. Then if I want to do more they can watch Sesame Street and I will listen to my mp3 while I walk.
I just ordered WATP and I am bidding on another one. I've never tried her videos. I have two from Jenny Craig and a Taebo but I haven't used any of them in a long time. |

I would never consider making a separate meal for someone else. I refuse to feed myself or my kids crap, but I cannot make that choice for anyone else. I always have something in the house that DH will (canned soup or cereal), but I will not let him eat it at the table with the kids. He has to have our food on his plate, and he can eat after dinner. |
Okay big losers, lets not look at this as something we have to keep up with, just jump in where you can and ride the wave, like I said before noone is gonna get left behind, its going to be super busy for a little while so please do not let yourself feel overwhelmed! This is supposed to be fun not a burden! I hope everyone is having a wonderful day!
I had the very best of intentions. Got all dressed up and ready to hit the gym after i dropped my youngest off at her bday party she was attending. Get to the gym only to find out they close in 15 minutes. so we didnt get a workout...boooo! Then we tried to go over to another gym on campus but the run track was slanted...what is up with that? How do you run on a slanted surface? So we didnt do it. |
This is my first TBL Challenge.
:woohoo:Lets Go Blue Team:woohoo: |
I am also new to the TBL challenges even though I have been around 3FC for awhile now.
I have managed to start off this challenge sick! I got a nasty little cold which hit on Friday and I have been out of commission this weekend. I am really hoping with lots of rest I will be back to the gym tomorrow, but I am not betting on it. |
