This is my first TBL challenge and I'm happy to be on the BLACK team!!
I am glad there is one thread for all the teams. It's great to see so many familiar faces. :) Thank you to Chellez for setting this up and being the Blue team leader, LondonJulz for leading my team, and Hun.e.B for leading the red team. My goal for the end of this challenge is to be 163 and be overweight. Good luck everybody!! |
Good morning Fellow Losers!
I woke up with a sore throat this morning. It shouldn't affect me too much because it's my rest day today. Hopefully, I feel better by tomorrow. I'm supposed to take the kids to Legoland which will mean lots of walking! zinkemomx2-- I've usually worked out early in the morning before dh left for work so that he could watch the kids. Now that my kids are 10, 8, 6, and 3, I can put the older ones in charge of the younger ones and work out anytime. But there are still days where my workout is interrupted 5 times. I hope everyone has a great op day. |
They are 3 year old twins. They have recently discovered the PBS kids website but some of the games are a little old for them and they get frustrated. I tried putting in their Winnie the Pooh game and that didn't go over well. I'm gonna try and do the early morning workout. Then if I want to do more they can watch Sesame Street and I will listen to my mp3 while I walk.
I just ordered WATP and I am bidding on another one. I've never tried her videos. I have two from Jenny Craig and a Taebo but I haven't used any of them in a long time. |

Okay big losers, lets not look at this as something we have to keep up with, just jump in where you can and ride the wave, like I said before noone is gonna get left behind, its going to be super busy for a little while so please do not let yourself feel overwhelmed! This is supposed to be fun not a burden! I hope everyone is having a wonderful day!
I had the very best of intentions. Got all dressed up and ready to hit the gym after i dropped my youngest off at her bday party she was attending. Get to the gym only to find out they close in 15 minutes. so we didnt get a workout...boooo! Then we tried to go over to another gym on campus but the run track was slanted...what is up with that? How do you run on a slanted surface? So we didnt do it. |

I am also new to the TBL challenges even though I have been around 3FC for awhile now.
I have managed to start off this challenge sick! I got a nasty little cold which hit on Friday and I have been out of commission this weekend. I am really hoping with lots of rest I will be back to the gym tomorrow, but I am not betting on it. |

So nice to see it busy around here! :)
I will be wrapping up my first week of WW tomorrow and I am pretty dang proud of myself. I have done great with the points thing suprisingly and not feeling deprived at all. There have been some days where I haven't come close to using all my points, I know bad bad bad. Progress not perfection, right?!? Now exercise, UGH. I have such a hard time getting started with this, and I can't figure out why! I really will need your support as I try to embark on this sometime this week. I gave myself the first week to just get used to my new eating plan and this week hit the workouts. I wish you all the best of luck regardless of your team. I know you'll all look fantabulous at the end and cannot wait to see all the huge changes in pictures and stats! Be good to you~ |
This has been a really great first challenge day for me! I am right on my calories, have done an hour of cardio, and have downed 5.5 bottles of water so far. I will do my weight training tonight when kids are tucked in. Of course, we haven't left the house all day and it gets harder tomorrow when school, basketball, and cheerleading, crowd my day :lol:
Is there going to be an exercise challenge or anything? I know, it's only the first day but I'm anxious :p I hope everyone else is starting this off on the right foot as well :cheers: to us all for the next twelve weeks...and the future beyond. |

I have been in Toronto for a basketball tournament all weekend, and just got home to check in! I wanted to check the list, say a quick "hi" and will come back to read all of the weekend posts once the little darlings (including dh) are in bed!! Showers to give, lunches to make, clothes to sort, etc.... I ate a little too much, and moved too little this weekend, so I will be up at 5:30am tomorrow working it all off. Good luck teams!! |
Same advice as what has been given, as I so remember even my little one interrupting my watp videos. I started giving her her mega blocks wagon, her dolls, and laying it all out next to the t-mill. Give her a little snack bag of cheerios and/or goldfish and a sippy cup of water. There she had everything she could want for 1/2 hr and if she threw a fit bc she couldn't wait, then so be it, that was just her being mean not bc she truly needed anything. And soon that would pass bc she would see mommy would finish up her 5 minutes or whatever. But I know what you mean with more than one complicating things. It would actually be worse when the 5 yo was on hand to "bother" or torture her or come up with "bad" ideas for them to do together. Even this past summer with them at 5 and 7, it was tricky, and I daily had to review the rules of - no going out when mommy's in the basement, no answering any doorbells even if it's your friends, etc.
Guess what? DH has started having these really bad neck pulls and I think he's getting a guilt trip about it being diet related and how he's living having stroke or something. No laughing matter, but you know what I mean when your headache makes you think you have a brain tumor right? So I told him about fitday and Body For Life and I think he may actually be willing to start tomorrow if I put everything together for him and tell him what to do! |

Let me just say how proud I am of you Black Team ladies - already over half of us have posted our weigh-in charts on the weigh-in thread! :carrot: Only about 5400 more pounds worth of women need to post! yay! :D

Woohoo - go RED team! I'm looking forward to getting to know all of the folk that weren't in the last challenge. A good first day for me. I tried a new WATP video - 3 mile super fat burning. It uses the weights for half of the walk. Whew - it was intense :) Now if I can just get the scale to agree that I burned a LOT of cals today :)

I couldn't get it to paste in the sig! Every time I copy it, paste is not an option down there. I think I"m going to have to photobucket it and then insert the url or something.

OK, I could get it to work if I DON'T change to editor mode in the sign. In other words, leave it just like it is, don't do the small A/large A switch. And then Paste will be an option. Just paste right into the final product box. Although, for me, it would show it, but when I save it, it doesn't show here. Off to try photobucket.

That is very cool, Chellez! I think I'll enjoy it through all the other ladie's siggy though...I am attached to my tickers, they are big motivation for me :) I do love it though...and i"m sure many others will proudly display for us all to enjoy.

Oh goodness...Sportmom you are determined. I'm satisfied with it as a avatar. I can not even wrap my brain around what you just said :)! And I actually do a newsletter quarterly at work. I do it in publisher which has templates which helps me.

Hi Everyone! I had to fish around to find I'm on the black team! OK!!!
I want to take and post some pics -- my question is: is there a deadline for pics? I posted my starting weight. I am a diehard film fan (yeah I have a nice digital that sits in the corner; don't like dig) so can I use up a roll of film in the next day or so, scan and post maybe Tuesday for week one? BLACK TEAM ROCKS! |

HINT: Does everyone know that you can open the thread to the first UNREAD post? You can pick the little triangle of blue dots next to the thread name, or choose the "read first unread". It takes you to the last posted item that was there during your last log-in. The only problem is if you logged on, but didn't read this particular thread (maybe you were reading others) it will "mark" it as if you did come here too. So you may have to browse up some, but it's still better than trying to remember page numbers or look around.

Roni, about 1/2 hr ago, there was some new member named CHarmeleon who posted topics called S@ck my D*nker on every forum in the title, and then her whole post was like 100 lines of it, from about the middle forum down. The mods got it pretty quickly. I couldn't tell if it was a virus or someone with no life literally posting that much. But I guess it was one of those teenage boys, only like 5 posts or so in their history, so that's a dead giveaway.
