I didn't stay up last night for the team postings, so at 4am I woke up and thought, "What team am I on?" DH was less than amused to be woken up for my announcement.

(yes I'm channeling that obnoxious Ty Pennington...) I'm psyched to get started and have a semi-decent excuse to be procrastinating with my homework as I read this thread compulsively. And maybe it will also motivate me to find my missing digital camera cord. I'll start taking photos this week and hopefully soon be able to upload them. I saw what you said about the Coke Chellez, I hate Coke, its just something the kiddos say around here when 2 people say the same thing at the same time. but speaking of diet....why on earth are you eating dinner so late!?

Hey everyone!!! Can I make a little suggestion? Perhaps just for the sake of keeping everyone straight is it possible for everyone to change the custom title by their avatar? How you do it is:
click on "user cp" in the purple toolbar at the top of the page click on "edit profile" on the left side of the screen in "optional information" under "custom user title" Type in your team Click on Save Changes |

Good morning everyone! I'm excited to be participating in my first challenge, and proud to be on the red team. I also went out for drinks last night, but I didn't do too badly calorie-wise, so we'll see tomorrow (I weigh in on Mondays). Have a great on-plan day everyone!

Good morning Red Team.....are we ready to win this competition!?!?! I am very motivated and have been doing great. I restarted WW on 12/29/07 and have really done well planning my meals, exercising EVERY day and I've been On Plan with my eating for 15 days straight. I"m looking forward to losing alot of weight. So let's go RED TEAM.....let's get moving!

Hi ladies. Hello Blue Team!! I posted my photos this morning. I obviously need to be hitting some weights, haha.
Borders has this $20 Pilates kits that are buy one get one half off. I picked two up and am giving one to my friend as her Christmas present and keeping the other for myself. (She was in Puerto Rico over the holidays and I haven't seen her yet since her return.) Anyway I previewed it last night and it is VERY similar to my Pilates class at the yoga boutique. (But, much cheaper in the long run.) if you have a Borders near you, I suggest checking it out. It's a tiny ball and a dvd. Also, there are still fitness DVDs in the Target $1 area for $2.50 for 2 programs. I'm going to do my Pilates video and then head to the gym today. Those pictures are good motivation. |

Chellez, Great wedding pictures. You look beautiful and LOVE LOVE LOVE the dress. It's funny, red accents is exactly what I planned on going with if and when I ever get married. I even found this dress I love with red ribbon trim.

Well, I'm going to try to be online less and on my feet more - as in working out, exercising, staying active, making healthy food, cleaning, basically just giving more of myself to the family than the computer!! I will be here every day, but just not the lazy hours & hours I've been putting in! Hopefully the numbers on the weigh in will reflect it! Have a good week everyone!

I ate really late last night because I was reading my saucy romance novel around 5 pm and fell asleep until 8 pm. So my little nap through off my clock. Today is a big day for packing so I'm hoping to get lots of exercise in doing that. Other than that there's really not much going on. I'm hoping to get some healthy groceries before we move but if you've ever had to move you know that the less there is the better off you are. Pew... my cat just poo'd and now the computer room is icky smelling. I'll probably work on the "Blue Team Surprise" in the next 30 mins. I'll have it posted up later. :D |

How on earth do any of you with toddler age kids manage to work out at home? It took me nearly an hour to get a 40 minute workout done there were so many interruptions. Usually I can get them interested in a game on the computer but it didn't work today. We only have one tv and I am either using that with a video or watching something while I walk on the treadmill. I even tried to put in a movie for them thinking I could just listen to my mp3 while they watched but they were far more interested in jumping around like lunatics.
But I did get 10 minutes of a video done. 20 minutes on the treadmill and 10 minutes of some light weights. I am going to pick up some 5 and 10 pounds dumbbells next time I get to town. I really need to get my eating under control. DH is very picky so I usually end up making crap that he will eat and a separate meal for myself. I am about sick of it and am starting to think he can eat peanut butter sandwiches on nights he doesn't like what I am cooking. I also think starting tomorrow I will start getting up at 6 to do a video and/or weights. I tried walking on the treadmill early in the morning but it was waking the kids up. I need a bigger house. I am so excited to be a part of this challenge. :) |
zinkemomx2--My kids are now 4 and almost 6, and they have learned that when mommy starts exercising they have to wait until later if they need something. When they were smaller I did Walk Away the Pounds videos and they loved to do them with me...my son has been doing them since he was walking! It depends how young yours are, butI just tell my kids mommy is going to exercise and I won't be able to stop for awhile, so is there anything you need? If they need me in between I just say they have to wait. Unless an emergency of course, but usually it's just small things like they want a different DVD turned on or want me to help them with a puzzle...that can wait, my exercise time is just as important. BUT, I do the majority of my exercise after they are in bed. Every night they go in their rooms for "play time" for an hour, then I go in and read them a story and tuck them in, turn out the light. I exercise during that play time hour, they aren't allowed out of their rooms.
We also run/walk circles around the house. We like to chase each other, and play the "no passing" game where everyone tries to stay in front, while the others try to pass. It is really fun and an awesome workout for us all. I also go to a local park that has a big field around the play area, and I walk while they play. I might never keep up with this thread...but I will try my best :D |
OMG!!!! Been so busy, Tatiana let me know last night by text what teams we were on but I just now got to read the last 4 pages on the OLD chat thread!! Then found this one and there are 6 pages???!!! OMG, how will I keep up? I probably won't be memorizing everyone's first names, and will use the beginning of your name on here, etc. Personals will be rare but will happen. I love doing them AND reading them. :dance:
