Default TBL "Fantastic Season 4" Challenge News

As some of you may know, the new Biggest Loser Challenge starts on September 11th on NBC. So you know what that means? A new challenge to pair up with the show!

Sign up for this challenge won't start until August 19th. There will be an official sign up thread made that day and everyone can sign up there. There is a time limit though! You'll only have until September 1st to sign up.

The main focus in this next challenge is dedication! We need people to sign up that are going to follow the show as much as possible and can definitely stay in the challenge for the full 12 weeks.

If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to leave them here and I will try to answer them as soon as I can or you can pm me.

I know the main question everyone that's new to the challenges have been asking is if we follow the biggest loser diet. The answer is that you can follow whatever diet you choose.

Well ladies have a good break from the challenges and lets make Season 4 fantastic!

Can I just add that when decided to sign up for the Biggest Loser challenges to remember that these are TEAM challenges. Meaning you work together as a TEAM to meet your weightloss goals. To me being on a team means being in contact with that team and letting them know how you are doing. Sharing the ups and downs is what support is all about, that is what makes the team challenges so great. Your team members want to pick you up when you are struggling and they want to celebrate you and be inspired by you when you are doing great. It can be really frustrating to be on a team of 20 members and only hear from 5 of them.

Just wanted to reinforce Chellez comment about dedication. Thats not to say you'd have to post to your team daily but at least once or twice a week is not too much to ask.

Yes Twinkle... you can still participate. Are you familiar with how far ahead in time zones you are from Eastern Standard Time (US)? That would be my only concern since we base the weigh in deadline off of that time zone.

Just let me know what you want to do.

I'm so glad to hear that there are another one of these starting.

I signed up for the last one...back when I was just lingering on the site and not quite ready to make a committment. I thought I was, but I wasn't.

And now here I am, 9 weeks on my program and starting my 6th week of working out with no slowing down in sight.

I'm totally ready for the next challenge! It will be just what I need to get me closer to my final goal.

Hey Chel, first off, good luck with the impending nuptials! I'm sure you'll do great on the big day!

QQ: I know we sign up, and then part 2 is getting back to you with our starting weight so you can divvy the teams. Will that be due to you when we sign up, or by what date? I'm just trying to remember from last time and work it into my fitness plan. I think I remember giving you a number initially, and then, like on the day the contest began, we all had to give our starting number (like on 9/11) because some people could have changed drastically from when they signed up initially - like on Aug 19. Does that sound about right or will you do something new this time? Thx.

HR - To answer your question (btw sorry it took so long!) When we start sign ups on August 19th, they will run from then until September 1st. It'll just strictly be posting your name in a post saying you want in. Then from the 1st until the 7th, those that signed up can post their starting weights in another thread so I can divvy up the teams. This way it will be closer to the challenge starting date and we don't have to work with a new starting number.

Melissa - Did you still want to be the Red Team Leader on this next one?

I'm TOTALLY in for the next one. I'm less than two weeks from graduation so I'm so excited to have more time for myself!!!!!!!!! No more having my head crammed in books every minute of my spare time!

Welcome back Kim! Congrats on your little one!

Well its about 48 hours before I become Mrs. Wright! I'm so nervous and my parents are giving me a hard time about not having a cash bar. Oh well I guess stress comes with the ride.

Daniel will be out playing golf on Sunday so I'll have plenty of time to work on the sign up threads and FAQs on the 19th like promised.

Have a good weekend ladies!

I want to apologize I was one of the people who disappeared on you guys last year. I know it's not an excuse but my grandmother died and I had a really rough patch with the weight loss and depression last winter after that, and I was gone from the 3fc site for awhile (and gained all my weight back)

I would like to play again if I'm welcome. You have my word I'm here for the team this time. Sorry if I let anyone down.

I'm new to this particular forum and I think I might be interested in this! Can you tell me more about what the challenges might look like?

I can't wait to sign up, hopefully this will help give me the motivation to get out there and keep walking/running. I love TBL but don't have many people around that watch it, so knowing theres a whole group of people out there that enjoy it is awesome!
