Good morning everyone.

Mel, WTG on your tax exam! and I agree with everyone else, Alaska would be wonderful! I have always said if this here realtionship doesn't work out I am sooo moving up there! LOL! There's lots of good looking fella's up there. I Love that show Men In Trees. hehe

Anywho, 2 days off the Carb wagon :( It's been very stressful, but thankfully the scale has not reflected my poor choices as of yet. I've had no loss but I've had no gain either, so that's good. I totally agree with Y'all on the marriage front and I haven't said anything to him because it hasn't come up, but when it does I am going to inform him that I have NO intention on marrying him unless he agrees to couples therapy and learns how to fight fair. I am over his crap. I already have 2 failed marriges under my belt, I am NOT about to get married again only to have 3 freakin' divorces. There are A LOT of issues I have with him, from his inablity to fight fair, handle stress, and support me in this weight loss thing. I tell ya, if I had to the money, I would have been gone a month or 2 ago. THAT is the truth.

Luckily for him, he was in a better mood last night and fixed our car & truck issues, so things were calm, but I still can't stand to be in the same room with him, I dread this weekend but O'well, maybe he'll be pleasent. I am gonna go for a lot of walk and bike rides just to get some time to myself.

Thanks for y'alls concern.

Diva.....Now I remember what it was I was gonna say to you yesterday and was drawing a complete blank...I'm so happy to hear that losing the weight is for YOU!! Thats the number one reason we should all have. We cant do this for anyone else but ourselves!! I'm glad you are feeling better today and I hope that the tension lifts on the home front. BTDT!

Wanted to add about Alaska..the part of Alaska that I'd go to is all the way at the top...where its really nothing but snow and ice. My sister lives in the lower part of Alaska where its beautiful, mom used to live there too till she moved here. I know there is supposed to be a plethera of men up there but coming from my mother and my sisters experiences up there...I'm not so sure they are good picks LOL. Then again they could just have bad taste!

Yeah, it's always been for me, but before this week from ****, I was in a hurry to lose to look good in a wedding dress. Since I seriously doubt that that is going to happen, I am in no hurry. I would like to not be be embarrassed in shorts and a swim suit next summer though. The BF could care less one way or the other if I lose or not, at least he hasn't said anything, if anything, I think he is trying to keep me this way by sabatoging me left & right.

Anywho, I have to clean this house, and shower, and primp, and all that girly, wifely like crap. ;)

Good Saturday all..where is everyone at??

I stuck to plan again yesterday! Thought about not sticking to plan but then I asked my self why? What could possibly be so important as to take myself out of burn mode? The answer...nothing!! I've got weight to lose darn it! So I smelled the carrot cake and kept right on moving. Did I tell you that my dh is doing lc with me now? Its kind of annoying because he eats all my food! LOL! Just means I gotta go get groceries so much more often and you know how I hate going to the grocery store!

Okay plan for the day:
Breakfast: sausage and coffee(I'm LOVING my gingerbread coffee gonna do irish cream today)
snack: pepperoni and cream cheese
lunch: house special chicken and celery
snack: bonbel cheese and a small romaine salad
dinner: chicken alfredo w/ broccoli

I really gotta pick up the water, So many of the foods that I eat are pretty sodium laden so I need to counter balance that.

We are supposed to have snow on the ground tomorrow night!!! I'm so excited!! LOL!

Alright off to do some homework! Have a great day everyone!

I ran my second 5k today and am pretty disappointed with myself. For one thing. I slacked off a lot this week, eating things I shouldn't and not running as much. I did 40 minutes with a lot more walking than I would've liked. I could blame the massive hills that were throughout the course, but I know I could've handled it better if I'd only prepared. Oh well...

Menu:
B: 1/2 grilled cheese sandwhich, grapes
S: banana
L: spaghetti w/ home made sauce (lots of veggies) and whole grain noodles
S: ff popcorn, grapes
D: turkey sandwhich (whole wheat bread, lots of tomatoe) and carrot sticks.

Shay 11-10-2007 03:20 PM

I'm here. Here is my menu for today;

BF--english muffin with rf peanut butter, yogurt, coffee with sf flavored creamer
S--rice krispie treat
L--South Beach wrap and cottage cheese
S--honey roasted almonds
S--100 calorie pack
D--turkey italian sausage, brown rice, steamed veggies

WW--26+4 flex points=30

I've been doing better than I thought I would with water. So I am really happy about that. I've even been drinking the water without using the Crystal Light packets because I keep forgetting I have them. Oh well as long as I'm getting the water in I am happy.

I completed Week 1 of the C25K today. I am really excited about that. I feel ready to move on to Week 2. I will start that on Tuesday.

Shay 11-10-2007 03:21 PM

Leeda--the point is you did the 5K!

Diva 11-10-2007 04:25 PM

Hey everyone,
Melissa--Great job with following your plan. I'm procrastinating on homework but in the next two days I need to really dig in. The C25K Program is 9 weeks.

I already have a plan to begin the One Hour Runner Program once I complete this one. I also plan to join the local running club in the spring. I have my eye on a 5K at my friend's daughter's school but she needs to check into it. I think it would be in March. My plan will always be to run 3 days a week so in December I need to decide what I want to do to add an additional day. I slowly up my exercise because I burn out really quickly. I'm thinking of one of those outdoor boot camps. I know, I know in December but I was thinking I could really layer and peel as I go. I would do 1 day with them then in January I will add the final day for a total of 5. If I like the boot camp or even decide to do that I probably would just add that as the additional day. As you can see I'm a planner but I do it for a living so its bound to creep into my personal life also.

I will weigh in bright and early tomorrow morning. At this point it looks like a maintenance week. Fine with me. I hope to return to my pattern of 2-3 pounds a week next week.

Today's menu:
BF--SB breakfast wrap, yogurt, coffee with sf flavored creamer
S--cottage cheese
L--garlic chicken with ww couscous
S--honey roasted almonds
S--sf pudding
D--spaghetti with steammed veggies

WW--26+5 flex points=31 points

Thank you for your kind words ladies. I feel a lot better today. My legs are plenty sore, so I know that even though I didn't run the whole way., that I still got a good workout.

Shay, I thought about doing OHR , but I decided to train for another race, a 10k, in February. I don't know if you've ever heard of Hal Higdon, but it's one of his plans. It looks pretty doable and I started today, though today was just a stretch and strengthen day. I love the way you have it all planned out.

I would like to join the track club here, but I'm a little intimidated...I think I will join in the spring as well. It will keep me motivated to run during the heat.
Not doing very well in the eating department. I'm just a little on the sad side lately...it will get better :)

Shay 11-11-2007 08:25 PM

Leeda--I have heard of Hal Higdon. I post on cool runnings also so he is mentioned over there. I will look into it. I'm such a planner sometimes it drives my BF up the wall. We all get sad sometimes. If you need someone to talk to you can definitely PM me.

BF finally made it over here...don't get me started on that. Anyways so he was able to take pictures of me in my running gear. Nothing fancy except the sportsbra (which you can't see) and the shoes.

I'm watching the Jon+Kate+8 marathon on TLC. I get a kick outta this show.

Diva 11-12-2007 07:25 AM

Good Morning Girls!

Leeda, I hope you're feeling better today.

Mel, Did ya get the snow? I am so jealous. I love snow and we hardly ever get any and it never lasts, we get it for a day and it's gone....sigh...

Well, the weight is holding steady. No loss, but NO gain either. I guess I can look @ this a learning tool and look @ my numbers on Fitday, because I can definately "maintain" at ever how many carbs I took in this week. I DID have 3 days in a row off the wagaon, and I am just happy there was NO gain! PHEW! Gonna step it up this week by lowering the carbs and stepping up the exercise.

The BF seems to be trying to be more supportive, but he was also trying to be the "food police" and THAT just isn't going to work for me. I NEED to feel Like I am controling this, NOT him. I am so sick of him thinking he's the boss of me. I can see right now that he and I are going to have to have a very LONG talk. Anyway, he was actually measuring out my foods for me when he cooked dinner and was easy on the marinades and sauces. he didn't realize that there's carbs in that stuff. So I made him aware. We'll be experts when all is said and done, lol!

LawMomVeronica 11-12-2007 08:27 AM

Hey Red Team, sorry to go another week without posting much. I've been sick and been having trouble staying awake past my daughter, which is when I usually get on here. Anyway, I had a 3 pound loss this week, so I'll take that! I bet some of it is water and will come back, but I'm still happy.

Shay 11-12-2007 08:46 AM

Good morning everyone,
Just like Diva, its a maintain week. I was off plan yesterday. I don't know why but I'm having more and more of those days lately. I've gotta figure that out.

S--rice krispie treat
L--english muffin, veggie burger, cheese, yogurt
S--100 calorie pack
S--cottage cheese

WW--26+6=32 points

I know, I know a lot of dairy. I'm at home so I will survive. I need to go to the grocery store to get some more snacks.
