Well I didn't think that I was going to have any loss this week but I lost 2 pounds!! I have not been very mindful of my eating but I have been so busy that I an not eating often or too much. I have been getting in most of my exercise.

LeedaRenee 10-20-2007 12:41 PM

Congrats Kelli on the loss!!

Melissa, I was reminded of you this morning. What to know why? Dog poo!

There's a man in my neighborhood who walks his dog WITHOUT a leash and lets it poop and go in everyone's yard. I caught his dog this morning in my neighbor's yard. The guy pretended that he started calling the dog once he saw me, but I could tell that he didn't care less.

Anyway, I got a flat on my jogging stroller so I couldn't finish my run, gah.

Here's my menu:

B:shredded wheat w/ 2 percent milk
S: bran crackers
L: whole grain penne w/ homemade sauce (lots of veggies, tons of chunky tomatoe!)
S: fruit
D: grilled chicken salad

Lost 1lb this week! Haven't been watching my diet very carefully, so it must be some kind of crazy fluke. (there was a GIANT basket of chocolate at work all week, who can resist that kind of crazy temptation?! Argh!)

Work has been really, really busy. Have a hearing on Monday and another one on Tuesday that I need to get ready for tomorrow. Now I suppose I better clean my dirty, dirty house. Hope everyone is doing well!

Shay 10-20-2007 04:33 PM

Leeda--I can't wait to start running so I can join you, AmberD, and Dream (is that everyone?) that run on this thread. Lasagna--I made a really good one from cooking light with ground turkey and whole wheat noodles. I don't think it called for ww noodles but I did. Just search for it on www.cookinglight.com. I'm doing WW so I think I figured it out be 8 or 9 points per serving.

Muse--I'm terrible at taking vitamins. I have One a day women's and One day weightsmart. I don't even try to take weightsmart anymore because of the stomach thing. So all that to say I don't have any suggestions for you. You're right about the pizza thing. I can't even remember the last time I've had pizza so it tasted sooooooooo good today.

Kelli--congrats on the loss!

Melissa--That sounds like a plan. I still need to continue planning my menus for next week. I plan specifically for breakfast and my 3 snacks. For lunch and dinner I assign pt values and decide that day what I will eat.

Shay 10-21-2007 12:37 AM

I'm up so I figure I would post my menu for today now. What you will notice about my menus during the next week:

1. I use a lot of convenience/pre packaged foods.
2. I don't deprive myself of anything
3. I need to work on getting more fruits and veggies in
4. I eat 3 meals and 3 snacks everyday. Eating every 2-3 hours keeps me from being extremely hungry

Sunday, 10/21
BF--cereal with light vanilla soymilk, yogurt, coffee with sugar free flavored creamer
S--yogurt
L--veggie burger with cheese on ww bun, baked chips, sf jello pudding
S--100 calorie pack
S--4 snackwell cookies
D--turkey italian sausage, ww couscous, asparagus

WW--28 pts

Good Sunday morning! Boy did I sleep in today! LOL! I think these blustery days just make me want to stay in bed! Too bad there is so much to be done. Took my girls to the Griz game yesterday and it was COLD!! Had a great time even if we did slaughter them. (I say that because its just fun to have a closer game) My poor kiddos absolutely froze in the rain and snow! I was naughty last night and had chinese food! I've gotten myself out of that championship mode. Have a hard time staying motivated on a day to day basis. I'm still in it for the long haul but its easier for me to say..oh this one day wont hurt, whereas back when this challenge first started I said...NO WAY..not even one day! Anyway...back at it today and I think planning out menus will help!

Kelli...great to see you posting! I hope it happens more often!! Excellent job on that 2 lbs!! You are just kicking some butt arent you?! Keep it up!

Leeda...dont even get me started on the dog poo! LOL! ugh, that is still a struggle around here. I hope you got your flat fixed and are able to get some more running in! That 5K is almost here!!

Veronica...another one we havent seen in forever!! And here to post a loss!! Excellent job lady!! I hope work goes well for you this week! Keep on kicking butt!!

likenoother....EXCELLENT job on that menu my friend! Wow, I'm really impressed at how well balanced you are. Thats a sure sign of success!

Okay so here is my menu for the day...keep in mind it is football day! Also, keep in mind I'm on LC!

breakfast - 2 scrambled eggs, 2 sausage links, coffee
snack - mini pizza
lunch - hot chicken w/ cucumber slices
snack - bonbel cheese
dinner - chicken salad on romaine
snack - if necessary huckleberries w/ cream

Have a wonderful day everyone!! I'm off to study tax!

~melissa

Shay 10-21-2007 12:58 PM

Thanks Melissa. I hope by doing it this way it will be a lifestyle change and not a diet. Now I have to go study myself. I will be on and off through out the day. I can't study straight through. I need to take breaks here and there.

LeedaRenee 10-21-2007 02:25 PM

Shay, thanks for the link to the light cooking, I have been more adventurous in the kitchen lately, so I may give it a go. It would be nice to have lasagna that we could all eat without guilt :)

Melissa, very good menu for a football day! And what in the world is a huckleberry?

Veronica, grats on the 1lb loss!

Still the same weight today, I usually post my weigh by Sun night, but I think I will see what the scale says in the morning. I am going running (without baby!) and see what kind of time I make. Baby and I may be going to a get together afterwards. I hope everyone has a happy sunday!

LeedaRenee 10-21-2007 02:47 PM

Forgot to post my menu:

B: bran flakes, 2 percent milk, 1/2 banana
S: a few pecans
L: penne w/ tomatoe and veggies sauce
S: popcorn
D: ? (maybe ONE hamburger, going to a grill out later)

Hun.e.B 10-21-2007 03:39 PM

Shay...I need study breaks too! I go into overload otherwise! So here I am taking a break lol!

Leeda...OMG huckleberries! They are heaven on earth! Its somewhat like a blueberry only tarter. I dont like blueberries but I love Huckleberries. They are absolutely heaven! And expensive! I get 5 lb bag of them for $40 at the farmers market. You can go up into the woods and pick them yourself but I'm too afraid of the bears who also love them. Plus they are really hard to find. what I do is freeze them then when I put a little splenda on them and pour on some cream the cream freezes so its a nice cool treat. Enjoy your run!

Okay girls...Dont forget to post those weights by tomorrow night! I'm waiting to do mine too!

~melissa

Hello ladies!

Well, after a week of unexpected hassles--mainly that one of the trees in the front yard split during a wind/rainstorm, bringing down a power line, so we had to call PG&E and have them come out and help deal with the mess. I'm just so glad it did not come down on the roof! I'm still waiting for hubby and son to take down the rest of the tree, which should happen either on Monday or Thursday if Mr. Procrastinator gets his rear in gear. Then the power supply on one of the computers went out, so we were all down to sharing our older computer, which means everyone was trying to get their turns in. But we just got it back, so that's great! I also got some extra work this week, so was away from home more, but the money is great--yeah, it went to fix the computer! :dizzy:

I am so far behind reading here, but I see that people are posting losses for the week already! :carrot: Keep going everyone! I am maintaining this week, but I'll take -- eating and exercise was uneven for me this last week, and my daughter's birthday was yesterday and I had 2 big pieces of cake. No ice cream, I just chose what I really wanted. Today I recommitted to tracking on Fitday, which I haven't been doing. It really made me stop and think about whether I wanted to run and enter things in!

LeedaRenee 10-21-2007 09:03 PM

I had a good run. I did 2.3 miles in 31 minutes ( I stopped to tie my shoe too), so I figure it will take me around 40 minutes to do my 5k this Saturday. My best friend is running with me, she is about the same level I am, so we are going to depend on each other to make it lol. Felt so good to run without the stroller. I didn't do too badly at the cookout. 1/2 of a hamburger, a little potato salad (and mmmm a tiny brownie!)

Diva 10-21-2007 09:03 PM

Don't know if I've lost anything or not, I'll weigh tomorrow, but the past few days have sucked. First the back thing, then we all got some stomach thing and my man and kid are both down with a cold and sniffles. I have been sick to my stomach most of the day today and now so is the man. I have no idea how we all got sick, but o'well. Top that off, the man, hmmm, how do I put this nicely?...He goofed up with the money situataion and now we will struggle the rest of this month. I have taken CONTROL over the situation! grrrrrrr I think he is testing me or something, but I feel like a time bomb tick tick ticking away...He's gonna keep on and , well, you all know I am sure. LOL! We are ALL woman here. ;)

Anywho, today's menu:

1 cup 2% Milk & Special-K (Fruit & Yogurt)
Chicken Sandwich
5 bites of Spaghetti Then I decided to be sick again....
1 cup 2% Milk and Rice krispey's.

Hey ladies, it looks like everyone is doing good. Its been kind of a lazy weekend. I've been extra tired and chose to sleep over exercise:rollpin: I did make myself get up early to get in a pilates workout today, and boy my muscles are stiff. I can't believe that just after a week of slacking on the pilates that my body would lose so much flexibility. Eating has been poor, I've been eating out of boredom and stress.:rollpin: I've also been slacking on tracking my calories this week, not to mention not posting much. I'm thinking I need a swift kick in the hiney:kickbutt: I'm sure one of you girls would gladly help me out with that. Tomorrow starts a new day. I'm gonna forget about last week and focus on the week ahead of me.

Bridgette.

Just a quick post before my date with Gilad. I was hoping to maintain this week, but was very surprised to see a 2 lb loss. Everyone have a great day.
