Great curlyjax! Paperwork never ends.

My goal, once I'm back home, is to tackle the boxes perched on my bench. I'm finishing my own decluttering this month. Being here with my friend and seeing all the stuff we all have just reminds me *I* need to finish the job too.

After buying the paint and then having other priorities, I'd like to get that living room wall painted. A few days ago I semi-lamented that I should have bought a more golden color than the pretzel color I did buy. DH was like you ALREADY BOUGHT IT. I know. We'll use it and see. I'm sure it'll be fine. This year I'll be tackling painting nearly the whole house inside and we need to replace and paint outside trim.

Kitchen was not cleaned up wonderfully last night, so that will be done before bed. Trying to figure out how to better store my strainers that seem to topple over, take up space, etc. I don't have much kitchen space and love to cook and bake, so have more crammed in cupboards than I should.

This evening I'll get home with some sunlight, so will take pooch outside with me and do a bit of gardening. Even 15 minutes will help.

Nationalparker- that reminds me- a few years ago we turned part of a porch into a very small mudroom, and we had to paint it. DH bought home some paint chips and we picked a cheerful pale pink. He went off and bought the paint a few weeks later, started painting it- and it was a pepto bismo pink, just awful!! He bought the wrong paint. Needless to say, we repainted it! I'm sure yours is fine!! but if it looks really weird, it is worth starting all over!

I figured as much but my productivity at home has taken a downturn when I started trying to commit just 45 minutes to activity and with the increase in work. Still STILL aiming to paint and plan on that this weekend - it'll be nice to just have it DONE. Would like to drop off styrofoam for recycling as well ... I have it in a big bag in the garage since no one near us recycles it. Need to make my plan to get stuff done at home as solidly as I do at work...

Default Boxes. Just Keep Decluttering. JKD.

Hi.

I'm going to focus on boxes: packed cardboard boxes, packed plastic storage containers aka boxes, and boxes without lids of any kind. I think I will just do a minimum of one a day until they get done. I will be gone again next week but whatever. I will start and stop and start again.

OneByOne - That's a great, non-overloaded way to tackle it - one per day! I tend to have too high aims and then burn out sometimes.

I tackled the painting today - got it done and furniture is almost back to where it goes. It looks good and DH and I both like it. Called soft pretzel, it's kind of that color only on one wall behind the couch and have a large semi-abstract of an Italian countryside village is above the couch, so only a portion of the wall is showing. I now have to figure out what I did with the drapes I had in here a few years ago that I really loved and would go perfectly with this living room set. The ones in here are "ok" with it but the others would tie the room together much more. If they're in the attic in a bin, I am leaving it to DH to find them. So these might stay up there

Tomorrow's project - Wrap the gifts for my sister and get that box ready to ship and the one I'm not using OUT. Not sure which fits better.
