Default New and introducing myself

Hi everyone! My name is Helen, Im 32 and from California. I'm new to the Atkins diet & the group and I want to introduce myself. I haven't read the book yet, but just following the basic online guidelines for now. My older sis did the older version about 10 years ago and lost a lot of weight, and I have her book. I've looked online and a lot of blogs and such say the old book is better because the new book is promoting more of the chemical junk, while the old book is the more basic, real foods. I already have my sisters old book, so that would be great for me!! It's nice that she gives me tips that she used that helped her during her weight loss journey. Also, I've been checking out a lot of recipes on Pinterest, and what is this 'Atkins flour' I don't see anything on their website or online... Anyways, if anyone has any tips or anything Id love to hear!. Hope to meet some friends/accountability partners in here!!! Have a great day!!!

Helen and welcome to Atkins!!!
I just celebrated 11 years on Atkins last month. It is a great lifestyle and works wonderfully when it is done correctly.
I agree the older books that were written by Dr. Atkins himself are best. You really want to steer clear of those Atkins "products". This article is very helpful and enlightening.

You will find lots of great Atkins friendly recipes here

Any marked with an * are Induction friendly.
As for "Atkins Flour".....I'd stay far away from that. Especially during Induction. Remember, on Induction, eat NOTHING that is not on the Induction Foods List.
You CAN do this!!! If I can be of any help to you please feel free to let me know and I will be happy to help if I can. I am not an expert, I'm just here to share my experience and help if I am able
All the best to you!!!
