Default Question about Phase 1 and seasoning

Hi all,

I downloaded the Atkins app tracker that helps you keep track of the carbs daily but now I feel more confused. Let me preface by saying today is day one for me and feeling good so far. The only seasoning I've used today is pepper but when I was reading the Phase 1 recipes on the app it listed salt as ok for phase one. Is this right? Cause on the list of foods/seasoning/drinks that I have it is not included. Just thought I would ask an Atkins veteran before I make any mistakes. Personally when I was previously calorie counting I used sea salt. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

It doesn't matter what diet your on. Salt will not hinder fat loss. It may, temporarily hinder weight loss.

If this doesn't make sense than you should learn the difference between fat loss and weight loss because knowledge is power in this game.

I am an admin in an Atkins group on Facebook and have heard many complaints about the Atkins App. I personally would look into something else.

Many people experience "Atkins Flu" when they first begin the plan (Fatigue, headache, dizziness etc.) and it is recommended they drink broth to help alleviate it. The reason the broth helps is because your body needs the sodium. That said, yes, salt is permitted on Atkins.

Thanks for the information. Yes, I thought the app would be helpful but even after playing with it all weekend it just doesn't seem to be of any help so I'll just stick to paper and pen tracking. Thanks for the info.
