Hey Guys!

Usually coming back to 3FC is a beginning step for me to get back on track.

See you guys around!

Good luck! My first day back on induction was yesterday. I didn't weigh myself this morning but I'm feeling better. Had a little carb headache this morning but took some Advil, there's no reason to be miserable. Things have subsided and I just ate an amazing dinner. I love how well I can eat on this program!

Hey Sunny! I was here with you last fall! I remember when it was really just you and me in this thread! I also remember all the different recipes you had for your scumptious Atkins friendly food! I know you will get back down to where you were and then even get more off! Yes you will! It is so good to see you!

Welcome back Sunny! Hope it goes well for you.
If you are on facebook, check out a page called "Low Carbing Among Friends" - they have some awesome recipes, but save the higher carb ones for after induction.

Welcome back Sunny! Best of luck!

Pam - I like that page too, they do have some good ideas!
Also - Pintrest, I have pinned like 100's of recipes to my board. There is also a few Atkins groups on FB that are helpful.

I know very experienced members here that say no bars. Personally I carry around a Quest bar in my purse for cases where I can't get home /to a LC friendly place for a meal and can't wait. I choose the Quest bars though instead of the Atkins ones. Quest bars have carbs like the Atkins ones, but they're offset by the actual fiber in the bar instead of by dubious sugar alcohols.

They're a last resort for me, but when I need them I'm glad to have them!

Hello Sluggo.... The bars should not be eaten while you are doing induction as your body needs to get into Ketosis and the alcohol sugars don't help that occur most of the time... Try and just eat the food that Dr Atkins himself suggests (read any of his books that were published prior to 2003... Its easy to pack a hard boiled egg to eat (if you are out and about) .. but there are alot of things that are just 1 item... Take a look at the books and WELCOME!

The bars are a no-no. This will help you understand why.

You want to stick with the books Dr. Atkins himself wrote. Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution 2002 or prior versions or Dr. Atkins Diet Revolution 1972 (his original plan).

Hey Sunny! I'm in the same boat...after trying so many different things I always end up coming right back to the Atkins way of eating. It's a shame - I know how good I feel when I cut carbs out of my diet, but always make the mistake of straying off the path. I have to take it one day at a time, and this is day four for me! Looking forward to staying on the correct path this time though!
