Ames, hang in there. I once did Atkins for two years, no cheats, counted everything. Shed less than 20 pounds. Tried raw vegan, veggies, fruit, 1 ounce nuts a day. Less than 10 pounds that year. I find that Atkins 1972 original plan is the best. There is a forum for that here. I don't drop an ounce unless I eat just protein and eggs. No fruit. If I have white stuff once a month as you mentioned, it takes me at leat a week to get rid of the pound I gain. Movie popcorn, two weeks to get rid of. My son was home and I had movie popcorn and 1 small slice of birthday pound cake. That was March 8th and I'm still not back to my low weight. This doesn't happen just to you.

Carol, you made it to 20's!!! So happy for you. Now pull Sue back in there with you please.

I'm plugging along. Work stress has been going on for 29 days. Big meeting today. It will be first time seeing guy that's made my life so miserable. I'm sure thy will bring in Subway sand for lunch and big bags of chips. I will eat the insides out of two 6" turkey and cheese. Going armed with a Quest bar in case of donuts etc. wish me luck.

Sue...the key is turned and I am holding the door open waiting for you to come back through! Sorry about the stress at work. Get some rest and relaxation this weekend. I want you back in the 20s with me so we can race for the teens :).

I am very proud to report I walked 2.5 miles Thursday and 2.6 miles today.

CAROL!! Awesome on the walking.

I got the team to switch from Subway to a local Eli. I got a southwest wrap with turkey, cheese, avocado, tomatoes and lettuce all mixed with chipotle mayo. Stripped the wrap off and ate half, gave the other away and came home to salad and 4 oz organic ground beef for dinner. Gained 2 ounces. No exercise. It wasn't my meat and eggs but I stayed in ketosis.

Today walking 3-4 hours in San Francisco with my oldest friend who's in town. We stop for lunch mid way through walk. She was my bestie from 1958-1968 when we went away for college. I get in another mile to and from the subway so it always makes or around 10-12 miles of walking. Love it. We try to get together at least 6 times a year when she comes to visit her daughter.

Tomorrow another east coast friend is here to spend the night. Another walk is planned.

Calee... what fun to walk with friends (and that they want to walk too is a big bonus!) It sure is fun to walk and talk... the miles and time just fly by! GOOD for you and you lunch yesterday! You sure do inspire me and give me knowledge if I ever am trapped at a restaurant and need to decide "on plan" food :) TY for that.

Carol (Newme).. I knocked and you had the door unlocked for me still! YIPEEEEEEEEEEE I made it back to 229.8 - Just under the line.. but I will take it. My shoulders are lowering alittle and the burn inside my top left shoulder has dissapated.. so stress is losing its grip! :) weeeeeeee

Happy Sunday!! Holding and that is fine with me!! I do think I'll see 170 or lower this week!! I'm going to put on snowshoes to pack down a trail for my dogs today so that ought to be great exercise!! We got another foot of snow last week so they have been house bound and really need a run!! If they go off the trail they sink way into the snow and that is really hard for my terrier mix!!

I made fauxtato salad yesterday and I'm planning steak and coleslaw for dinner tonight!! It is one of my favorite meals!!! Only 25 minutes on the treadmill yesterday because I had to be taxi driver for baby girl!! But it's all good and all balances out in the end!! When I'm short one day I try to add it in the next day!! I'm still using my fitness pal to track food and exercise!! It keeps me honest and makes me realize carbs/calories in the food I am eating!!

Congratulation Sue! Glad to hear the stress is dissipating. Now just stay in those 220's young lady.

I was tired yesterday. Only walked 9 miles. Managed to gain close to a pound. What the heck?

Ames are you around?

I cooked up a pot of Paleo Chili last night for quick yummy lunches this week. If home tonight I am cooking up some chicken thighs and a pork loin for breakfast and dinners. I figure ith three prepared meats I'm good to go. Didn't buy eggs as I'm sensitive. Will see if it makes a difference.

I'm retaining fluids this morning. Can feel it in my hands.

Slowly slowly slight movement down (like half a pound a week or so). But enjoying (what!?!) my AIP diet and planning for the next steps of reintroducing a few things. I'm glad I made the commitment to track all my food until Easter, having that data really helps me see some of the reasons the scale isn't moving much.

- keep a daily food log (I've seriously resisted this and it is hard for me to commit to, but frankly I think it's what I will need to do to move through this weight decade that has stalled me for years in the past)

Good luck Lulu! I keep meaning to try the fauxtato salad. I love cauliflower. Its the best veggie ever! I use it to make the crust for my pizza.

Sue I'm not too far down- 228.4 yesterday and holding today.

I had a lot of temptation this weekend! A wedding shower Saterday (2 small bites of a salted caramel cupcake...nasty! It was so gross I had to have that 2nd bite to prove it :p Actually I only ate one bite at the shower but brought my son one home and had to have a bite of his). They served subs and chips but there was extra lettuce so I made a salad. Then Sunday we had homecoming at my church. Meat was not a problem, but there were very few good veggies...lots of stinken casseroles and starchy stuff. I took green beans, so I ate those and a little broc casserole (picked out the brocoli) and some 7 layer salad. All in all I didn't do toooo bad! Did not walk Sat. But did 2.5 miles Sunday.

Hey all, random check in here since you all knew how frustrated I was yo-yoing in the 240s: I broke out of them this morning! 239.3! If I keep going downwards I may come back for the daily tracking.

General update: I have still been struggling staying on track. I will be on track for a few days than cave and eat pizza with the hubby etc. So I would gage I have been about 80/20 on track but kept knocking myself out of ketosis. I have been on track now for about a week, ketostix are reading I am back in ketosis and I am hoping that I can keep it up. Thursday I leave for seattle for 4 days to celebrate my best friends 30th birthday with her, I am hoping I can stay on track keto-wise if not calorie wise. Any suggestions? I have heard for alcohol that vodka and diet is best for keto.

I am checking in between classes so I haven't gone back to see how everyone is doing, if work is slow later I probably will check back in catch up a little bit. I started a tumblr so that has sucked my time away from 3fc.

I Hope I can lose a kg each week til Easter but happy with any loss. 83.5kg is my ideal and realistic goal.
I am dairy free and chocolate free this year. I need to remember drink more water and eat more for energy so I can do more activity.

Good MOrning.
Well yesterday I did the eat every 2 or 3 hours. Starting at 7 am..
My day consister of..
1 Cheese stick
1 100 cal pack of almonds
2 snack size protein shakes ( 100 cal each, 1 carb each)
1 coke zero
24 oz of water
3 stalks of celery
By 3 pm. I was shaking felt like I was going to pass out.. like my blood sugar was way too low? Bottoms of my feet felt numb, I felt weak ? that makes no sense.. usually I have 2 protein shakes I ate way more? Only New thing I had was D3 Vitamins I started. I ended up coming home eating too much because I was shaking.. Had a steak , big salad and some Hershey kisses because I thought I was going to faint.. ARGH! I hope today I don't feel like that.
What the heck?

I did a lot of reviewing last night. Next Monday going back to induction.
Only Chicken , eggs, allowed veggies.. you know the old atkins style for 2 weeks. see if that jump starts my loss..
Going to cut out the protein drinks, and cheese and such and see what happens.. I know you ladies are so patient. But summer is just around the corner. and I am fat!
I need to drop 20 lbs. asap..
