Yes.. I am thankful for work (Tho we are sooooo sloooowwwwww right now) But I am helping out the other employee that did not like me and now she really does WHEW! :) Staja.. I hope you are having a better day!

Salt and exercise.. boy they both make our bodies hold water (Repair muscles and just act like a sponge).. but those muscles help us burn more calories in the long run... so Ying/Yang

Just today.... If something tempts you.. say NO..... just for today... It will be there tomorrow if you want it.. (training my brain again!)

12/3 249.6 Lost a whole bunch of that water weight HOORAY!
12/4 247.6 Very very very Happy!!! all water weight but 1 lb is gone! Dinner out with friends at Bonefish Grill... gotta look at the menu for low carb!

GW 243 or LOWER and I WILL DO IT!

Good morning everyone. I'm starting to get into my groove which makes me feel good. Pilates reformer classes 4-5x this week planned. That and my 30 minute walk on those days is perfect. Longer walks the other days. I'm not quite induction levels, a bit higher but sliding into ketosis. I'm determined to lose the 5 I gained in the last year, plus a few if I can.

Hi Skipnlaugh,

So glad you said something about exercise causing water retention! I have been working out since I started Atkins. I do the bar method and hadn't since before thanksgiving. Super hard on the muscles so probably why I haven't lost as much as I have in the past on this diet.

At least I haven't gained! :carrot:

I'm taking a break from muscle work today - can barely walk or open doors! Hopefully the rest will do my body good.

Good afternoon! Looks like you guys are doing well :) It seems as though I lost all my water weight so now it is the waiting game.

lulu that how I am too. I have yet to find an exercise I am excited to do. I like the exercises I do once I get started, but I have to force myself to start most days.

Too.Much.Salt.

Can't weigh until tomorrow but going to drink water like crazy today!! My sodium intake last night was high!! I could taste it in everything!! Fresh and low sodium for me but that will be easy because I will be back home later today!! Carbs were ok and calories were under but sodium was four letter word!!

Going to exercise this AM!! I LOVE to exercise! (This is part of my fake it til you make propaganda!! Ha!!)

Skipped the workout last night - instead I made Mr. Staja shepherd's pie and took advantage of him working late to wrap his holiday presents. I also worked on a cross-stitch baby blanket I'm making for my sister. I have until May, and it's quite large!

Also found out yesterday that 85% of the folks at my old job (the one I left when I moved), are getting laid off at the end of January. What a cruddy way to start their holiday season. Makes me even more thankful that I have my right-now job, and gives me more patience to hold out before looking for something new!

I am so thankful that we have strength inside of us and are directed to do the right thing and to decide on a course (work, life, eating) that is best for us. We all listened to our Guardian Angel whispering and started this weight loss journey! :)

Exercise,,, I am a walker and sometimes just need to get my butt outside (tho I do walk a circuit inside my house in and around furniture, etc for 110 steps a circuit).. but outside is better for the mind thinking and pondering!

lulu add some lemon juice to your water like a tbls per 20 oz, it really helps flush out, it is worth the 1 carb.

staja ouch! yeah finding work right now is pretty difficult. My hubby's job is SCREWING him right now (over worked, not giving him the resources he needs then yelling when things aren't done fast enough, asking him to basically work from home on his vacation. not for a little bit or a day, but basically do 85% of his job just from home that week) but he's worried about getting fired so he is taking it for now :(

sue you said your weather is holding up, get your butt out and walk outside! :p

Good morning everyone!

I realized I wasn't following the format of day by day weight loss. I need to get a better scale that shows more than whole numbers. I am very happy with my loss so far! The first 2 lbs was just Thanksgiving gain so I've really lost my first lb today!

I have a long walk from the ferry to my office so that's how I'm getting my exercise in the next couple days. Anyone have the UP band? or any of those step trackers. I got one and am using it again and it has really helped to motivate me to move.

Great job pixiecat on the weightloss! You too Staja! I think you could make your lower goal of 213 easily!

Huh, I think my scale is broken! I definitely ate most of a (erm, a whole) frozen pizza last night. I really need not do that :D and I'm sure the scale will show it tomorrow! Anyway, Happy Friday!

Sue: I do the same thing at work - I spend 30 minutes a day scanning invoices in our front office, and usually spend my whole time in there pacing.

Pixicat: Hopefully things will quiet down for your hub after the holidays?

Nothing new to report today but that is ok somewhere along my crazy train ride this week I convinced my self I had gone way back up so glad when the scale told me I hadn't gone anywhere!!

Lulu...staying the same is aok... it takes a week or 2 for you to lose that next lb and it will happen B4 Christmas! :) I still am awed by how far you have come since summer... I remember when you reached Onderland! :D
