Memorial Day Challenge
Starting the Memorial Day Challenge!! My goal is the same as last challenge - 6 pounds and to ramp up my excercise - True confession: I haven't been so great on the excercise routine and I need to commit!!

Can't weigh but walked for an hour this morning!!! Hope the scale is kind to me tomorrow - I've eaten on plan but still struggle with portion control!!!

Scale was kind to me this morning 203!! Hoping to see less of me in the next few days - walk already planned for later today!!! My daughter commented on my weight loss when I got home last night - after not seeing me for a few days - that made me happy and help boost my attitude - this is a marathon not a sprint.....

Reporting 203 again today and walked for 30 minutes yesterday - walked with my husband and his knee is bothering him - Planning a long walk on my own for today - loving the nice weather before the bugs come out!!! So glad ice and snow are gone but dreading black flies and mosquitos!!! |
Thank you Lulu and good for you and your husband - its nice to have that time together too with undivided attention with each other :) but I am sorry his knee is bothering him.. Is it arthritis, or muscle ache? I hope an aspirin (or such) is the cure and nothing else is needed. SPRING is here.. Hip Hip Horayyyy and I know what you mean about biting insects... We have small midges that we call No See ums... and they are obnoxious! Like little tiny specks and they leave BIG time welts.... walking fast doesn't help.. they find you... Only thing that works well is A**n's Skin So Soft... :)

When I walk outdoors, I use the little fans that blow insect repellent. They work well, and you don't have to spray anything on your skin.

I walked for over one hour yesterday with my daughter!! and plan to walk again today!! but I think my scale is stuck!!!! no change to report today - it's hard to be patient - I want results yesterday........

I went up alittle... sigh.. and I don't even want to see it in writing LOL.... I have been so good..... But I am retaining water like nuts... My feet are swollen and I drink plain ole water about 40+ oz a day.. I guess I need to really lower my sodium. Its so hard to see puffy skin over my sandal straps (and its just been in the last 3 weeks that this had happened and I weigh less) Just don't know.
Glad everyone is walking... ME TOO (2.25 last night) trying to do 10 miles a week. Have a truly wonderful day! |

I was here a couple of months ago but fell off the wagon. I lost 22 but put 6 back on so...only 16 off since Jan. I would like to join this challenge, stay focused and see what I can do in a month. I will add my loss to the already 16 rather than start on 0, for personal motivation ;), I hope that's Ok with you. Thank you and best of luck to us all! |

True confession: Didn't walk yesterday and weighed twice!!ugh!! I am retaining water this week too Wannaskipandlaugh and it is making me crazy!! I read on some blogs not to get wrapped up in daily scale movements and that water retention is normal from exercise. Plus I know I ate extra salt this weekend!! Planning to walk today....and to stay off the scale for a little while!! |
Lulu I think I will do that same...... the scale DOES NOT RULE ME.. LOLOLOL and I woke up this morning feeling lighter well maybe the next time I weigh (next year at this rate LOL) it will show it LOL

Still the same weight.... I have not lost anything for a week now... Something is up ..... 6 weeks ago this same thing happened... so I know that the stall will go away... I just am amazed that at my weight that I have a stall... sad sue.... Going out to Longhorn for my Mom's birthday and having a steak and a salad.... more sodium... but I only eat steak out and am going to enjoy it.

My eating wasn't very good this weekend, but I did walk a lot. My goal for this week is to walk every day. We can do this!!

Hi - Reporting 203 again today - I know this is a long journey but I do wish the scale would move faster - not sure why I suddenly got so wrapped up in the scale - I was doing pretty good not obsessing about numbers. Wishing downdowndown for everyone!!!

Well FINALLY I am down. YEAH... I am exactly 1/4 of the way to my goal... I am 269 and that was so hard to get to too. Geesh.... So now I can hope for a fly by thru these 60's I am hoping.

Hey there! Yes, cravings are going! Drinking loads of water...I need to make better choices with prepping food at night for lunch. I ate ham and salami roll-ups for lunch yesterday and today with a mayo/dijon dip. I think I'll be getting a Chipotle burrito bowl for dinner tonight! :)

Oh noooo, the burrito bowl is basically a burrito in a bowl instead of the wrap. I get chicken, lettuce, grilled peppers and onions and tomatoes only. Total carb count is around 8 grams.

Hi Add me to that Challenge -- I hit 259 this morning, haven't seen that number for more than a decade. I challenge myself to weigh 249 at the end of this month. To do that I'll stay on my 20 carbs a day plan AND really step up the exercise. REALL REALLY step up the exercise! This is a big goal I've set for myself, but I feel empowered to go for it and have this May be a HUGE PUSH for liberty from 10 more fat pounds!

I haven't seen 210 or lower for 25 years LOL. When that happens.. Well they say there's no earthquakes in southern Florida.... well its gonna sound like there was! LOL
Fatkrl.... Gosh.. I just did not see the word bowl LOLOLOL I understand and that actually sounds Delish..... I am watching my parents cats for the next few weeks and there is a Chipotle next street over....Gonna go see that menu!! and try something GOOODDDDDD :) |
