Default I want carbs!!

Ok, so I've been doing Induction for 3 weeks. The first week wasn't great...usually averaged 25-30 net carbs, and then the last 2 week I did much better averaging 20-22 net carbs. I'm still craving all kinds of carbs...pasta, cake, sugary sweets...anything!!! Will this ever go away? Or am I doomed to be missing carbs forever??

I guess you just have to think about the end goal Personally I've not had carb craving since day 3 in, and I'm now on day 9. It's a good idea to keep temptation out of the way - remove carbs from your cupboards etc. What's helped me is the fact that I can still snack on meat snacks and cheese snacks, so that covers me for snack times. Maybe try to find some way to customise your favourite carby meals with something Atkins friendly - like carbonara with courgette 'spaghetti' - shredded courgette with carbonara sauce.

Keep going, it'll be worth it in the end!

I'm being very good and somehow maintaining some great will power. Not sure how! I think I just want it...I don't feel like I need to have it. I'm a bridesmaid in my best friend's wedding in October, so I'm using that for motivation!
I've got 3 kids, so it's hard to keep carbs out of the house. I try to buy them things that they like, but I don't!

Carb cravings suck. That 'spaghetti' sounds pretty good though, I think cravings are managable when you can be creative with your food.

My sister's birthday is next week, and I know she's going to be tempted to cheat, so I'm making her low carb cheese cake and pizza with flax-meal crust and very light tomato sauce.

Thanks!! Some of those look tasty. I don't know why I didn't really think about making some low carb cake. I kind of was just trying to stay away from it altogether. Lol. I picked up some sugar/carb free Jell-o to make over the weekend.

Here's another low carb recipe website for anyone interested: http://yourlighterside.com/your-lighter-side-cookbook/
