Default Mid morning snacks.

So what do you people usually have, if you have them? Cos of the hours I work I don't often get lunch til 3.30/4.00 pm. So I need something high in energy and low in carbs that I can just grab and munch on the bus to keep me going at work. Any suggestions?

Egg cups are good for grabbing on the go. I found variations on a blog called Kalyn's Kitchen (not sure I'm allowed to link it, but it's easy to find on google). They freeze or just keep in the fridge for several days.

I would also like to know what kind of snacks you all like to have.
If I make bacon or sausage for breakfast, I try to make enough so that I will have it for a snack later. I like to put bacon inside a lettuce leaf with a slice of cheese & a little bit of tomato. Basically, a BLT with no bread.

Not sure if you could take that with you though. I will try to pay attention to what I'm snacking on and come back and post.

OK, brainstorming for you....

Cheese sticks
Sugar free jello cups
Peanut Butter Protein balls
Atkins shakes/bars - your opinion may vary - I just do shakes
boiled eggs - plain or in deviled with halves stuck together to travel well
Rabbit bag - cut up veggies chunks in baggie
Pork skins - I know, everyone's tired of 'em probly
Bag of nuts, maybe with some sugar free chocolate (keep portion small on choc)
vienna sausages with mustard - I know, but I love them. Yes, I do.
That's all I've got off the top of my head. Hope it helps out.
