  • Count me in too, please...
Me too! I'm ready to lose some weight, Atkins chicks. I've been back on serious induction for two days and I'M HUNGRY! But I'm cooking a good dinner, and I'll make it. I need a bigger breakfast.

Lunch was amazing - Big Mac in a Bowl and a side of asparagus. And I walked Puddin' the Giant German Shepherd down to the water about 5:30, so I'm doing what I should. Drinking the nasty water right now.

That Big Mac in a Bowl is amazing! Found the recipe last week and I've already had it three times this week.

Congrats on your loss! It's always a great feeling when our hard work pays off.
  • Congrats on everyone's losses so far!! I am only down .5 this week. Was hoping for more, but I'll take it Im gonna have to try that Big Mac in a bowl. It sounds good. Hey SandyFanny...try drinking your water with a straw...makes it go down easier for me.
  • Hi I'm Marlisha
    Congrats everyone! Im so excited
  • Thanks, Sunlover, I'll try that. Off to a good start today - flax on minute muffin for breakfast. For exercise and sanity, cleaning house! Again.

  • Good work, dini!
  • I'm in. Good time for a challenge. I'm returning to low carb from primal, with an induction (maybe not a pure one, but more or less) being my first step. Hopefully I'll see your 15, and raise you a few!

I've been here before, with Atkins, and others, and continue to struggle. The first time I did LC it was a MIRACLE diet for me. Then it got hard, watching others eat at social events where there was NOTHING I could vaguely have. Stress was also a factor. The weight returned, but I kept a few principles going. Then I returned to LC, but lost only a couple pounds. I was painfully aware of how different my food was when I ate with other people. My stress level was still very high at work. It didn't work out. Again. I seemed resistant to it. That's been awhile.

Lost my mind, realized I forgot to reproduce. Fertility issues found us. I am on clomid (which makes me want to eat like a linebacker) and have gained a fresh new 20 lbs in a short time. So, I went primal. I love the concepts, and they do fit with LC in many ways. Grok is a fun guy afterall.

Now, primal didn't make me lose, but the gain STOPPED until the last couple weeks. My dose has doubled, and up my weight began to inch. My knees hurt. I feel bloated. My clothes do not fit. So I need another answer again. So here I am, like the prodigal daughter, coming back to LC. I anticipate better success as my work stress has been greatly reduced. I also understand, LC helps many folks conceive.

Here's hoping to good things with my new direction!
  • Welcome Kel. Hopefully you find your permanent home here. I've been on Atkins for about 8 months and have never felt better. Please keep us updated on your progress!
  • Great idea,
    I am in too! Thanks!
  • Thanks Sandyfanny!
  • This is my fourth day back on Atkins. The food is delicious, but I'm just plain hungry. Sometimes it's "time to eat" hungry, and sometimes it's "head hungry," but either way I want to EAT. Right now, it's "time to eat" hungry; I'm so glad I have something good for dinner! I'm giving myself (and anybody else who needs it) a big dose of "Thinking Thinny."
