  • 10 reasons I want to lose weight:

    I want to feel & BE healthy again (main reason)
    I want to be able to bend over--while still breathing!!
    I want to be able to see my toes--w/out bending over
    I want to wear my wedding rings--again
    I want more energy
    Smaller clothes cost less
    Don't want to be the fat one in the family anymore
    Sick of people saying "you don't look that fat!"
    Sick of going to the doctor and having EVERYTHING blamed on my weight (vs even listening to it possibly being hereditary or some other reason).
    I want to be happy in my skin

  • You can do this! I do have to say I chuckled at the "smaller clothes cost less", as that is sooo true! You should print your top 10 and put it on your fridge, great reminder to yourself. Good luck and stay committed!

  • Thanks everyone. I thought if I actually sat and figured out WHY I want/need to lose weight, it'd help me stay motivated. I'm sick of the merry-go-round of losing/gaining. I want to lose it PERMANENTLY. And I know that I'm going to have to make a LOT of lifestyle changes to make that happen.

    Fit into my closet of beautiful clothes again!
    Look better for my sons' HS graduation, senior trip, family beach trip
    Be more appealing to my husband
    Better self esteem, or as you said 'happier in my own skin.'
