Default Shiritaki Noodles--what part of the store do you find them?

I am wanting to try these noodles I'm reading about. I don't have a Trader Joe's around me so I'm going to try Kroger and other stores in my area. What part of the store should I look? Near the spaghetti, produce, or organic, maybe the diet food section? I don't know where to start.

They are in my grocery store in the organic section by the refrigerated tofu. You might also try the asian produce section.

Strangely, I have found them in some Price Chopper stores and not others, so you may have to check around if there are multiple stores in your area.

Do you have any Whole Foods or Wild Oats around you? I would call the stores first before you go just to be sure that they carry the noodles. I have ordered them online as well. They are a bit more expensive to order online but if no one in your area sells them check out the link below.

Yep--I'd call around--especially if you have any health food stores. The store that was listed on the House Foods website didn't have them but then a health food store not listed did--so it's easiest to call. If you get the right person they may just order them for you.

Thanks everyone for your quick response. I do have several whole foods stores around town so I'll call around.

Just my 2 cents worth. I get mine at New Season store. Check if you have any kind of asian food store. Most stores keep them in refrigerated section with the tofu.

Hey all--out of curiosity--how much is your 8 oz. bag? I finally made it to the health food store last night to get some. Better like them--I got 4 bags since it's such a pain to get over there. They were $1.55 each and I thought it seemed pretty cheap--especially if they are good.

I posted some recipes on the Recipe Thread under Shirataki Recipes for LAWL. I am doing the Meatless Chessy Pasta one tonight minus the cheese since I am using dairy for my snacks today. I am on day 4 of the 21 day boost. In the recipe thread I counted one bag as 2 Condiments because that is what the LAWL diatician said but sometimes I will count mine as a starch.
