I'm looking at 16 hours before my WI and I'm wondering if I'll get to eat breakfast... My meeting starts at 10 am (I'm there by 9:30) so what would you do? I HATE being hungry! But I don't want anything I eat or drink showing up on the scale...
I eat first, but i 'd be sure to eat the same thing, same amount every week, then it is just really "up" that first time, after that first weigh in, your weigh in will include the breakfast.
Yep, I eat before I go too. I have a noon meeting. Now I do not eat my lunch first but I do drink some of my water and eat my breakfast. I figure the same thing. If I do it every week, it won't matter. I take lunch with me and eat at meeting. Our leader encourages us to do it at the noon hour meeting
what ever you do just do it the same. if you drink a cup of coffee this week drink one next, same for food.
I ussually have something small before then pack an apple or something to snack on while at the meeting and I always bring my water to drink!

I drink a big glass of water when I get up at 7:30, but I don't eat anything. I take food with me and eat at the meeting after I weigh in plus I take a water bottle. I also wear the same clothes every week--spandex shorts and a light top, which I cover with a sweatsuit when it's cold. I am a creature of habit. . .
Yeah I used to not eat before my evening weigh-ins except for breakfast that morning and then go have a big meal after my 5:00 meeting. Its really a short-sighted, "diet" mentality. Once I recognized that I was playing games with myself I made a big change. I signed up for an exercise class scheduled for 6:00, an hour after my 5:00 meeting. So now I have to eat a normal meal or I will fall off my spin bike... its a killer class! Not only that, now instead of eating a big meal after weigh in I go burn off about 500 calories and who can pig out after working so hard? Granted I still eat pretty light my weigh-in day but it is now normal meals and snacks. In the long term the weight of eating a meal is nothing.... your total calorie intake and activity will ultimately manifest in your weight over time. Think about your weight a month or year from now rather than 24 hours from now... because the long-term reality is what counts. It all catches up with us in the end.
If I'm hungry I'll eat before WI. If not I"ll have a cup of coffee or something to drink and pack a breakfast/snack for on the way home from my meeting.

My meetings are at lunch time, so I have breakfast and a snack, but I don't each lunch until after I get back. I have to remember to eat my snack though, otherwise I leave the meetings RAVENOUS!

I normally don't eat before I weigh in because my meeting is at 9:00 a.m. I usually take something like a Special K bar or banana with me to eat after I leave the meeting.
On regular days I do eat breakfast, but I'm not really hungry for it yet, I eat it because there isn't another chance to eat before noon or so, and I don't want to be starving before I get lunch. My meetings are on Saturday so I'm not as time restricted!
