Well, it's just happened ... just this second. I was sitting here browsing the threads as usual, looking for motivation and inspiration, when suddenly, the next thing I knew was that I was on the floor with my legs stuck up in the air, still in a sitting position, wedged into the swivel desk chair!
I was so shocked that I didn't make a sound when I went down, until I realised what had happened, and thankfully I could still move all my limbs! ... My 17yo son had just returned home and heard me shout, "Oh my God!" ... He ran into the room full of concern to see me on the floor, stuck in the chair, legs in the air ... we took one look at each other and couldn't stop laughing!
The tears are still rolling down my cheeks as I type! Two of the swivel legs at the base of the chair have completely snapped off! When I think about it, I could quite easily have broken my back/neck/skull, whatever!!
In my defence, the chair had seemed a wee bit lopsided recently ... my hubby even commented on it at the weekend ... so I guess it's partly to do with general wear and tear
... But why, oh why, did it have to happen when I was sitting in the bl**dy thing!!!! ... Ok, no need to answer that ... I've got the message!!!

Woobly furniture are to be avoided at all cost. I remember sitting on a table in a noisy classroom, happily swinging my legs and then the whole thing crumbled with me on it.
