Default Does anyone watch the show "X-weighted"?

I've started watching x-weighted! I really enjoy watching the progress people can make over time like that! I'm tempted to start photographing myself once a mongh so i can watch myself shrink like that!

TOTALLY addicted! The show really demonstrates how the desire to lose weight isn't matched sometimes by the realization of the amount of work it takes. Some people surprise you by achieving their goals, and others by NOT doing it (they seem so darn MOTIVATED at the start). I think my three favorite moments were:
1. Seeing the personal trainer hired by one participant walk out on her because she was going to a low carb-high protein diet. I personally thought that was completely RUDE of the personal trainer because the diet that works for you is often the best.
2. Seeing the same participant actually achieve her goals DESPITE the negativity of her first personal trainer AND of Paul. IN YOUR FACE!!!
3. Seeing Paul (the main personal trainer) march those two ladies up the hill in Halifax and singing to them even though they were screaming at him to SHUT UP!!! I laughed SO HARD!!!
I hope there are new episodes coming up...

i agree there are great moments on almost every show! I tend to agree with the personal trainer though- I think a balanced diet is really important and i'm not sure that woman was eating right. Walking out might have been alittle harsh, but there is no way that woman could survive long term on the amount of calories she was consuming in a day! I'd be curious to know what she looks like now!

I wish Paul would come andyell at me once in a while!

You are so right - Paul (the main personal trainer) felt that her diet was unmaintainable in the long run, so it would be interesting to see if she has kept the weight off or not. I just think that a little more support would have been nice - her particular diet plan wasn't so far out there as to be completely inappropriate (ie. eating only white food, for example). Still LOVE the show! And Paul could come over and yell at me too, any time...

what was her diet and why did they think it was unattainable in the long run?

OOohh, I didn't realize her calories were so low. All I recall is the trainer crabbing on her when she didn't have alot of carbs planned into her life. I know that at the end, she had enough energy to complete a 10 km run without difficulty...

you have to remember that this is the same woman who went on a hot chocolate diet...she lost weight by starving herself then gained all the weight back and more!

True, but I think that she realized that the hot chocolate diet wasn't a way to go...I guess there are no easy WL answers. Drat.

This is the follow up to Taking it Off. I auditioned for Taking it Off, had two interviews,,,but wasn't picked. Thank goodness after seeing them in bathing suits on the front cover of the Calgary Sun...Wheww close call...
They called me back for Xweighted...and did another 2 interviews but didn't get picked.
I enjoy watching the show...like the indepth of weight loss.
