Default The Right Place

Hey everyone.

I sort of stumbled across this forum by accident and was really surprised at how many of your experiences matched my own.

I've struggled with eating disorders since I was 11, and have been hospitalized for it several times. Right now I'm actually anorexic and coe (yes, you can be both). Sometimes I'll go days without eating and then go on a crazy huge binge, I never seem to be able to stay near the middle and eat normally. Lucky me, I get the best of both extremes.

Most the the website communities for anorexics that I have found are pro-anorexia, which is not something I want to be a part of right now. Also, not a lot of the members on those sites have problems with compulsive eating. Even the "recovery" forums on those sites usually end up being a bunch of girls worrying about how many calories are in a cherry, or wondering if you can get fat eyelids.

So even though I'm not technically overweight, I need to stop this bingeing and I think that this forum might help. You seem to all be really strong and supportive people

Anyway, thanks for letting me blather about my issues.

Welcome, please post on the other threads!!! We don't have many anorexics on the threads (if any?), but we all struggle, and we sure try to be strong!!!!

Hi Belle, and welcome
i feel like we are somewhat similar- i am also not overweight, but i have eating behaviors that i need to work on. i will also not eat for longer than normal times, and then follow with binges. i hope we can learn how to cope in better ways from both each other and the other ladies here on the boards

PRO-anorexia???? That's like being pro-cancer. Sounds to me like a bunch of folks who are still in need of medical help.

Welcome aboard!!
