Default ugh Brownies!

My daughter made brownies tonight. And not low carb ones. Those darn things are STARING at me. I finally cut one in half and started to eat it, but after biting off half of the half, I threw the rest of it to my son and then went and spit the other part out. It tasted good, but it felt like a very dangerous downward spiral for me. I knew I wouldn't be able to stop if I ate even that little bit. Even tasting it leaves me feeling weak and worried.

The SMELL of the darn things was enough to drive me nuts earlier tonight when they were cooling. I'm going to have to make the kids hide them from me, or I'll be in trouble. Isn't it funny how some things are so much more of a temptation than others? Cake I can ignore. Brownies though....

*shudder* i don't know how you did it! Mucho admiration lady.. My weakness: scones and cheesecake. I hope if I ever took a bite, I would have the strength to spit it out too! Kudos!

It wasn't strength, it was fear! It would have been strength to have swallowed the thing and then not had another one. I wasn't sure I could do that, so I had to spit it out. My mind was screaming at me "you are crossing a line, and once crossed you will be out of control carb crazy!" I've done that too often. Thought a "little" wouldn't hurt. "littles" for me don't stay little. Once I said "ok this time" it becomes "ok any time". I told myself I wasn't going there this attempt. And even with the low carb treats I can sabotage myself and have to be careful, so something like that with full sugar and flour?? Dangerous!

Bravo Sherry! That is fantastic. I wasn't as good as you -- I ate the McDonald's french fries for dinner last night and I'm paying for it today. Next time I get tempted, I'm going to remember your strength.
