Unhappy Did you ever have one of those days???

Ok, things were going well until I called the mechanic about our truck. This was going to be a good year. Dh was going to cash in some stock and we were going to pay off some debts that we have. (GOOD) But now I just found out, less than a month after puting $1500 worth of work into it, That the engine is shot!!! The mechanic (a good friend) said there was no way to predict this happening. We have allways taken good care of our cars. We now have to buy a new car orget a new engine for our truck. So, instead of being in a better position money-wise we are going to start out the new year with more debt

Sorry if this is bumming anyone out. I just had to get it off my chest. I usually don't get stressed that easilly, but this has put me over the top. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks

I know the feeling! I'm currently without a car until I can get mine towed and diagnosed, and given the problem I'm having, I'm pretty sure it means a new transmission. I don't get paid for another week, so I'm getting plenty of exercise walking everywhere.

Talking

Oh man...we just went through a whole bunch of troubles with our van. Right now, my side door is about to fall off because one of my kids friends decided to slam it so hard, it fell off the hinge. it's totaled and it'll cost me almost $1,000 to get a new one. We have no "junk yard" around here so a used one is out of the question.
Then my heater went out early this month...BBRRrr it's cold in Oregon right now. So we bundle ourselves up with blankets. That's going to cost us $495.00!!

Stress, yes it's a big deal but sweetie, don't let it get you down. Try not to. I live with stress everyday and I found that if you let the stress get to you, you're not worth "diddly-squat" to yourself or your family. Take deep breaths, count to 10, and soak in a hot tub. Please be good to yourself....you're worth it!!

It actually worked out that DH and I both know how to drive a stick shift. After Tues day everything will be done. We found out it needs a new windshield (it's cracked) and that will be done tues morning. THnaks for the support.
