Default Newbie Fat Chick in Spain

(Posted this in support forum too, but then saw there was a specific WW forum too - sorry, still learning!)

I'm a 33 year old Scottish girl who has been living in Spain for the last 3.5 years. I just joined this site although I've known about it for years - don't know why I took so long!

I am planning to follow weight watchers as closely as I can as it worked for me a few years ago, but what with moving to Spain and totally loving everything to do with food, the weight has crept on again. However I'm really trying hard, the only thing is there are no meetings near me here and I'm missing the support they give you. So if anybody would like to buddy up with me, I'd be over the moon.

Welcome louloumel!

You lucky thing living in Spain! The food must be great there. I would probable be living off seafood while there but have to fight the temptation to be drinking wine and eating tapas

Thanks Girls! Yeah I am lucky to be living in Spain but I'm not sure the food lifestyle is all that healthy. Everything comes with chips (as in fries) and drenched in olive oil. I know it's good for you but surely not by the bottle!!

At the moment I'm trying to avoid eating out and just racking my brain trying to come up with meal ideas all the time. I am a recipe book junkie though and have tons of WW ones - so I should be ok. The only thing that's difficult is getting hold of low fat products, but I seem to be surviving so far.

Do you guys do a weekly weigh in on here? Let me know as I think that's the bit I miss most about not being able to go to WW meetings and it would be good to have people to "report" to.

Thanks again for the welcome!

Louise
