Hi all! I'm Mel, I'm 23 from WI. I've battled "the bulge" for years and years.
I was addicted to diet pills for 3-4 years and got down to a shocking 115lbs.
I was very sickly and my hair was falling out. I had terrible insomnia and got to a point where I took 8-10 diet pills per day, drank only water and ate maybe once a day. This way before effedra was taken off the market, so I was taking Metabolife w/effedra. A lot of people were very worried about me,but some just kept telling how great I looked, which only encouraged me. I also (hate to admit this, but may as well let it all out there) was a VERY heavy drinker for about a year. I went to the bar 7 days a week, from 7 or 8 at night until 2am. That was when I began gaining the weight back.
I met my wonderful hubby and moved to Arizona to be with him, where I didn't know anyone at all. I stopped drinking b/c I didn't have anyone to do it with, but began substituting food instead.
We moved to WI in Sept of 04 b/c I missed my family and friends. We were married on Dec 3rd (were supposed to wed in April, but found out I was pregnant) and my wonderful son was born on 6-22-05.
He has really changed my life and made me want to be that fun, healthy mom who can say "do as I do" instead of do as I say and not as I do. I am already strict about him only eating the friuts and veggies (why do they make desserts for babies anyway?)
So, that's me in a really big nut shell.

Sounds like you've struggled through a lot. I'm glad you made your way to 3FC!! Congrats on the darling baby boy

I'm sure you'll find the support you need. I suggest posting in the introductions section. It is a good starter.
