Default Pms

Hi, I guess this may be the wrong place to post about the dreaded PMS. I just wasn't sure where to write my misery. I try to stay happy, but I get so crabby and downright mean during this time of the month. I eat like food is going out of style, even though my poor tummy is stuffed. The worst part, and I was wondering if anyone else gets this way, is the clumsiness. Today I was backing my car into the garage and "snap", there went the rearview mirror into the concrete wall. I swear my brain just goes haywire and I lose control of my every aspect of my life. My concentration is zapped and it is almost like I can't function, but I sure have an appetite for food!
I hope I don't depress anyone, I just want to know if other women get confused and accident prone from hormonal imbalances.
Have a nice day!

Jillzeebean, I hear ya, hon. I will be THRILLED the day my period doesn't come back. It will be a time for celebration!
I think the best thing you can do is plan for it, and be good to yourself when it "hits". Know that you're going to be cranky/irritable/uncomfortable/etc, and plan some good "me time" for yourself.
The clumsiness may be because you're distracted and feeling crappy.
Even after having it for 28 years (I'm 40), everytime I get it, I think, "What the HECK is going ON here!?!?!?" I mean, it's just so unreasonable and ugly. I know some women see it as a beautiful thing, but for me, it's just a darned inconvenience. If it's any comfort, I'm convinced that in their next life, men come back as women.
You're not alone, hon... sending you big hugs...

Default Thank you!

Super Thank you! I feel better knowing I am not alone in my dislike for menstruation. I am also nearing 40 and viewing menopause as a blessing, it can't come soon enough for me! Maybe someday I will look back and laugh about how crazy I get.
