It's great to be a runner now! I started out by power walking & aerobics and slowly started adding some jogging in and read up about shoes and breathing. I can hardly explain how it makes me feel. Sorta like blowing the stress out the top of my head.
Don't be nervous about your first race. They can be so much fun especially because there are people that are all levels - short - tall - young & old. I love seeing the older people running - it really inspires me to keep going as long as I can.
Just think by fall you'll be doing the 5K!!!
