hiya guys.....I'm wondering where everyone has been keeping themselves.....or just overwhelmed like me. This home improvement stuff is difficult to live with...I started my day at 5AM cleaning up from sanding/painting drywall...that stuff is like talculm powder and I now have NO DOORS up in the house so the cats and dog are tracking it everywhere...even the mighty vaccuum cleaner seemed overwhelmed so I switched to wet rags......being vewy cawful not to touch the freshly painted walls....or the contractor might just slap me.

welcome to the newbies!

Good Morning Gals!
Welcome Justforus..............we are glad you are here!

Marbles.try a Swiffer.they are great.I use the refill package for dust rags...not just on the floor mop. !

I walked my 2 miles this a.m. and nixed the idea of going to the Schools annual runmmage sale down the street that I usually mark my calendar for! Why go get more STUFF when I am having a yard sale Saturday to clear out some stuff? I hope my daughter and I clear out a lot of stuff.....it is always a good feeling to "de-junk" the house!

See you all later.

Sure hope everyone checks in today...............I have noticed less activity in here too!

At least peep in and say Hi

Oh CIN, the first thing I went for was the SWIFFER........it was like cleaning the rotunda with a Q-tip......I resorted to a wet terry-tablecloth (old of course used for dropcloth) and *skated* through the floor with my feet....it's a heavy dust made worse by terrible humidity.......now I notice the dog is growing mold, not just me!

and it's not over, they are hanging framing, cutting doors this weekend....BUT it will be a beautiful room!!!! It faces the woods, gets great morning sun, very sheeshee, done in white, pickled oak/pine french doors, pickeled panel doors, built-in bookcase (for that new flat-screen TV I'm lusting after) and I'm hunting for the perfect loveseat....(and a lover to go with it!)

(Banging a potlid with a metal spoon calling Kierie, Leenie, Tippy, Joanne, Carla, MMarie and all our other friends who are MIA-----except SueMarie who is having a vacation weekend or winning big $$$)

Marbles
I am dead serious with this statement:

You should be a writer!
You have such a "way"with words!

I am dreaming of the clutter gone and big $$$$ Saturday
Probably be one of those $30 days!

Later

What the heck is that clanging noise I keep hearing? It sounds almost like someone banging a pot lid with a metal spoon! Oh well, since I'm awake now anyway I might as well post.

I haven't really been gone, just lurking. Life has been getting me down, nothing in particular, just a sort of death by a thousand cuts. (As you can see, my gift for hyperbole has not been affected.) I've been posting on another thread, Help for Tammy. Her husband has just done the same to her as mine did to me, and she is in terrible shape. It's an opportunity for me to pass forward some of the incredible support I got from friends and acquaintances 2 years ago, but it has caused a little bit of a relapse for me. I've also realized that I just can't be friends with my mother-in-law after all, and I've been mentally composing a letter to her to explain why I haven't been in touch and won't be. Rather difficult, because I do care for her a lot, and she's old asd very lonely. But I just have to learn to let go - my old life is gone.

I won't go on and on about the little anxiety attacks, the post (and pre) guest fatigue, worries about my big cat who is just not happy living indoors in a small condo, my GP who decided to go on vacation next week and cancelled the appointment I really needed... I won't go on about it because my ice cream is melting, and I need to go get more cookies to go with it. Also it's hard to type when one hand (sometimes two) is needed to stuff my face. Oh well, I won't change the tracker back upwards until Monday weigh-in.

So, Marble, I bet this self-pitying whine has nade you sorry you banged on that lid! Don't worry, I'm done now. Until I actually have anything to say, I'll just lurk.

.....RUNNING with the teakettle of hot water...to pour on Carla's ice-cream...NOW try to eat that stuff.....pooh! WHY ruin your accomplishments!!! jump on that rebounder, bike and get out into some fresh air.

I'm sorry if I interupted, and I'm truly sorry that you are conjuring up bad feelings through Tammy's thread.....I haven't read it, but she's got my vote too. Sometimes the a$$hole turns up next to you in bed, you never know. I envy people with stable relationships and families...I seem to have this huge red *S* stamped on my forehead, (the S is for SUCKER)...I only attract men who are idiots, sexest and social cripples. I think I should change my hair color...."just cos I'm blonde and have big t--s doesn't mean I'm stupid". I did red once and attract a whole new species of idiots!

After my divorce I avoided my in-laws except for matters concerning their only grandchild, my daughter. I re-established kindness as my X-FIL took ill and extended more than professional courtesy as he was a frequent guest at my hospital. I brought them my catered luncheons, had access to information, gave them copies to give to corresponding other specialists and even had my then BF explain sotolal therapy as their doctor disappeared for the weekend. (it's a intra-venous drug administered to regulate electrophys. and stabilize the way the blood is pumped from one chamber to another...i *think*, don't quote me on this one). I did not attend his funeral, but sent a card. (my x-husband and I don't even speak and he wonders WHY I didn't come?)

Your MIL probably misses your relationship, maybe she knows deep down that her sonny is a you-knowwhat....but if your kindness to her dredges up unhappiness for now, just ask her to let you be for a few months. you don't have to make any big decisions.

Your cat is unhappy? did he tell you in writing? or peepee on your pillow (a sure statement)....My daughter actually trained her cat to a leash so they had outside time, but you have to start when they are younger. He is happy with YOU, he'll get over the smaller digs.

Lurk all you want and feel free to bang on the piano and sing off-key. I hope you feel better soon, the glass IS 1/2 FULL.......(vodka or wine?) I'll try to think up some amusing items to post about....did I ever tell you about my next-door neighbor who likes to sit outside NAKED...I do not get excited by a 65 year old man's flabby buttisimo and wrinkled weenie.....even the police were disgusted.
